I serendipitously wandered to this lovely little shop. Not only were the items so special, everything was very affordable. I had the wonderful chance to meet Jane Ellen, the owner. She was so nice and helpful. She has such special handmade and locally made products at her store. From clothing to gifts to household items.
A super cute, thoughtfully decorated with items anyone could buy for their friends or family. Now if only she was in San Diego where I live!

I’m in love with this north buck town (on damen) boutique. It has everything for men, women, kids, kitchen stuffs and bath! I love that i can pop in for a last minute or just because gift and walk out happy. The owner Jane is super helpful and has the interior design experience to know what goes well together. Thank you for being open when i need your shopping help!

I love all the stores on this block of North Damen, but this one deserves a «yelp» because the owner, Jane, is so helpful and fun to talk to. Thanks Jane! I see that other reviewers say the same thing… and, here I thought I was special ;-)

What a great place! Jane is wonderful and will guide you though her amazing collection of great rare gift items. They support fair trade and local /​national artists! I found a great Valentine’s gift for my wife!

I love this little gem! It’s a great place to find all kinds of gifts!
The layout of the store is adorable: there are clothes and accessories up front, baby and kids stuff in a little nook, kitchen things in the kitchen, bathroom things in the bathroom, etc. You get the picture.
Nothing is over-​priced and everything feels unique. Even better: there are a lot of local artists and designers represented!
The icing on the cake is the owner! Jane is the sweetest lady who will make you feel SO welcome and is NEVER pushy!
This is such a great shop to have in the neighborhood.

As far as boutiques on Damen go, this one is top notch for a few reasons. First of all, the owner Jane, is very friendly and personable, and makes everyone who comes through the door feel welcome. She is helpful but never pushy. She’s a talented interior designer with a good eye for sharp and artistic pieces. The store is big, but not overwhelming and well curated. Each room has a general theme (Kitchen items in a kitchen, bedroom items in the bedroom, etc etc.) they have great gifts for everything from your baby, to your pet, to you mother, to your brother, to just treats for yourself.
Most everything in the store is local or handmade (Or both) and she really strives to only put things in her shop that are made by artists. But just because it’s handmade by an artist, doesn’t mean the prices are insane. There is something in just about every scale and price range. It’s also just a fun little shop to wander around in.
There are other boutiques on Damen in this area that are also wonderful, but what stands out about this one is the variety and price range of products. I buy things from here regularly. It’s a regular stop on my window shopping strolls.

What a great little shop! They have a variety of fair trade items including clothing, baby stuff, jewelry, accessories, and housewares. The prices are reasonable, too. I bought a vegan «leather» purse, a nifty shrug/​scarf, and some cloth cocktail napkins all for around $ 100. The store is set up in a unique way so that you feel like you are in someone’s apartment. The staff was very friendly, but not pushy. You could tell the owner takes a lot of pride in the items she has chosen for her store. Definitely check this place out, especially if you are someone buying a gift for me!

So, so happy to have stumbled on this gem today! Make your way to Toast for brunch, then head down a few doors and enjoy! The owner (with the same fabulous name as me…) clearly oozes style and originality, as reflected in the wide range of incredible offerings — all of them so reasonably priced that it’s ridiculous.
Style and ambience galore, and so many tempting treats it’s hard to resist. And for those times that you really need an original or unique gift, it’s the place to go. Why be like everyone else?
No set store hours yet (she’s still trying to figure out what makes sense for the location), and the phone may go unanswered (because she’s too busy helping a customer and refuses to be rude when it’s not necessary), but leave a message if you need to, or just head on over and hope that you’re in luck.
Valentia is now firmly entrenched on my list of check-​in-​often places. Definitely worth the trip.

What a great shop! It’s located in Buck Town and filled with Fair Trade items, items created by student artists as well as local & national artists. There are one of a kinds, home Décor, kitchen items, gift items, women’s wear, jewelry, handbags, baby items, books, some retro items, cool men’s sox [yes, there must be something for men!], specialty soaps & cremes & candles & more.
The neat thing about the store is that it’s themed so kitchen items are in the kitchen, bathroom items in the bathroom… you get the idea. The shop owner is an interior designer so her flair for design helps you find that right item for your home.
She just opened but plans to spotlight different products and artists each month as well as on her facebook page.
