Urban Mischief sells unique accessories and stylish decanter sets that would be perfect for a scotch-lover. They also carry local-made items so you can help support local businesses by buying them. I also particularly enjoyed their section of dirty candles, with names such as edible underwear. They smelled great too. The only drawback I had would be the price since it was a little out of my budget, but I wouldn’t mind spending more money on a quality piece that I would wear a lot. I definitely will pop by again if in the area to see if something catches my eye. Urban Mischief is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something unique!

This store had some really cute stuff that I would have happily purchased if I had unlimited funds. I guess I could say that about anything. But this store is one of those with those fun things that you don’t NEED so it’s easy to talk yourself out of them. It’s cute. I’d visit more often if I lived closer. It’s a good place for hostess gifts.

What a great little store! I scored two gorgeous fur hats, one mink and one fox, both in amazing condition for under $ 65 thanks to this store’s realistic pricing. Not to mention the mild winter. Hee! The owner was so cute and really helpful. I would love to have bought more things to decorate my new apartment because everything is in really great condition. I’ll be back to check out more vintage finds.

North Clark is turning into resale row, which in most cases means overpriced items the owners picked up in another resale store you didn’t get to first. This is definitely *not* the case with Urban Mischief, which is only slightly mischievous compared to the trouble you’ll get into emptying your wallet on their fabulous wares. The store works mid-20th century American territory, which is my favorite territory. Most of the furnishings would be perfectly at home in Don and Betty Draper’s house. Back when they were married, that is. Or my parents’ house, if they had been a little more stylish. And the glassware! Every hour is cocktail hour. A friend of mine put together a fab gift of cocktail glasses and plates for less than $ 50, which is unheard of at most store. I recently had a little heart attack when I saw a For Rent sign on their window, but then I realized it was actually the store next door. Urban Mischief opened a «pop-up» store handling some of their overflow. There’s a pair of chairs I’m absolutely mad for, if only I wasn’t so broke right now. But when I’m back in the money, a sizable amount of it will be flowing into UM’s coffers.

I might have been up to no good on that day. Rounding out my afternoon, I thought I’d drop by for some mischief in a store blatantly chock full of glass objects. Watch out. At first glance, the inventory seems sparse. After being in other neighborhood shops over-stuffed with object after object, leaving heads a-spinnin’ and minds a-whirlin’ in sensory overload, this is actually a relief. After a closer look, I could see that a clever eye had hand selected everything in there, with little added in as extra clutter. Neat-o. If I didn’t have people around my home that break things, I’d surely bust my budget and go nuts on far too many items in here. Decanters galore! Classy glasses! Mermaid bottle openers! It’s all here. Pssst…if you’re really up to some mischief, sneak into the back corner of the store, behind the curtain. See what kind of trouble you might stir up. And Shelly, the owner? You can call her awesome. Read her business card, it proves it.

Obsessed! I am not easily excitable in regards to the whole furniture store/home furnishings front, but not when it comes to this place. Everything is cute, unique, and different, in the I need to buy a bigger house to fit all this stuff in way. And pricewise — definitely doable. I’ve died of sticker shock and walked away from things I’ve loved, but not here. You have no idea how nice it is to know that if I fall in love with something, I can have it. There’s gorgeous lamps, glassware, assorted furniture, and my fave — the naughty section right around the corner in the back. Five dollar feather ticklers anyone? Oh, and yummy candles to set the mood, and handcuffs, too. So ya, whether it’s time to gorgeous-ize your place or pick up a quick twenty dollar gift that someone will love, this is the place. Oh, and the owner’s title listed on the cute business card I grabbed? Madam. F’in cool, right? Enjoy.
