The father/son that work here are super friendly. Only reason it doesn’t get more stars is for the price but cant beat the convenience. They were even open to 11pm on the night of Snowpocalypse 2011 just to feed me booze.

Four stars for one reason: Potato Vodka selection. I’m a fan of the potato vodkas and this place actually has a pretty decent selection, including one that I was unaware of, until my first visit. That would be the American made Spudka. Now, it seems that they’re usually unaware of which of their vodkas are potato, but I know better. Here’s my usual visit: Me: Might I trouble you for a bottle of Spudka? Him: What size? Me: I said Spudka. Him: What size? Me: No, Spudka. Him: What size? Me: No, not Svedka. Spudka. Him: Oh.(Grabs the only size on the shelf.) They also have a few others, but Spudka is domestic and the least expensive of the bunch. The soda water selection is also pretty decent as well. I’m always willing to venture a bit out of my way to buy my vodka here.

As far as liquor goes, this place is a little expensive, but they do carry enough microbrews and imported beers to keep me happy. I can’t count the number of times I’m come in here late and had the judgment eyes laid on my the whole time. The owner doesn’t look like a puritan, but who knows these days…
