Ugh, 2 stars. What really blows my mind are the rude patrons who think they can be rude students! !(Also, the building is beautiful.)

This is UIC’s library. The building is rather ugly from the outside, but don’t let that fool you. It is home to many special collections and little rooms and areas to study, read, research and attend talks. They have a small café inside and there is a more modern addition to the building which is brightly painted, has lots of seats and some newer computer labs and study rooms. Upstairs leads to the stacks. If you’re a student you must take advantage of the library and all it has to offer. Especially the great I-Share network. You can request books from just about any library in the great state of Illinois. I have saved tons of money and time by requesting books from the library. They arrive(whether from the UIC library or elsewhere) at the desk for pick up very quickly. The only downside is the books are due back within a month or so. You have to renew often if you need it for the semester. As for non-students, sorry I can’t offer much information but according to the website, members of the general public are welcome to use library materials within the library. You can’t really check things out but you can definitely ask!
