Fantastics burgers here! I dont live close at all, but will definitely be back. Awesome beer selection and service. This place is exactly what a corner bar should be!

I love this place! Especially in the summer. Their special’s food menu consistently changes with whatever fresh produce they can get their hands on. I had the most amazing Japanese eggplant as a vegetable accompaniment to their roasted chicken. It was incredibly delicious. Their burger is amazing. They use Slagel farm meats and have their own custom blend for the burger. And their cocktails are heavily boozy and delicious.

It’s a scary coked out bouncer plus his«workers». The old alcohol abuse center sign remains. Don’t worry! Just because they jacked up the prices doesn’t mean you can’t get cirrhosis! Jaundiced shakey denizens of the night before come sniffing around at the opening hours. Meanwhile, there’s some sad effort to make it «classy». Can e coli be cute? You be the judge.

$ 25 for 2 neat ryes with bartenders feeling like they were doing a favor. We only go there since it’s close to home and we hope it will get better, but no change since July 2014. By the way, the food is so salty(even the salad), it’s ridiculously obvious they are driving drinks through food. Very disappointed in what should be a great neighborhood place.

I’ve been going to Tuman’s since the Alcohol Abuse days. I’ve always had a pleasurable experience there. Even after my husband and I had kids and our son climbed into the Skeet ball machine and was stuck for a bit… the employees were cool about it, I was horrified. Anyway, We wanted burgers we called ahead, ordered our burgers for pick up, they were amazing! Great flavor, texture, not falling apart or dripping in our laps, after we finished our burgers we didn’t have that bloated stomach, gross feeling you get from most restaurant burgers. I’m looking forward to my next burger craving, satisfied by Tuman’s.

I hesitate to review Tuman’s, since I want to make sure we can still get a table when we stop in for dinner! We have been twice since we moved to the neighborhood, and I am so impressed by the quality of food at this unassuming local watering hole. Their menu focuses on local and organic ingredients! Definitely not what you’d expect from a corner bar. Their beer list is seasonal and rotating, the servers are friendly, and we haven’t gotten anything that wasn’t tasty.

Love this spot. Always busy, yet a great laid-back atmosphere. Tons of great beer and cocktail choices and rock-solid gastropub fare.

I love Tumans! I come here regularly:) the chef lady seems so nice and sweet & all the servers provide outstanding service. Amazing food:) i remember when I first went there I thought it was going to be typical bar food but I was beyond impressed… I have tried almost everything on the menu now. Everything is delicious.

A Ukranian village friend of mine recommended this spot for dinner and to watch the Cubs playoff game. Immediately upon entering I was underwhelmed by the tvs for game viewing. I quickly forgot about it once I realized I didn’t actually WANT to see the game. My friend is so smart! The Cubbies were flat, however the brews flowing and delicious food made me forget about ‘em. I would return just for the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Bun is buttery. meat is flavorful and moist. Service was excellent. Perfect chill spot to meet some friends. Just don’t go to watch a game. Unless if you think you’ll need to drown your sorrows in some good beer while squinting through tears to see the score.

What I enjoyed about Tuman’s is that my friends could dance their booties off while I chilled at a table drinking my brews. On the night I went, it was craft beer week and Tuman’s had some special beers on draft. Total win for me that my friends were happy and Sarah stayed happy. Tuman’s is a really chill atmosphere, great music and most importantly great beer!

Is this a neighborhood bar or a club? I wanted to give it a chance, but the music levels are too high for a regular corner spot especially when there are few patrons in the bar and conversations are hard to hold. The staff has been very slow and rude the several times I have been there. Also that fried goat cheese and beet salad? That’s not goat cheese. What they serving is an entire mini wheel of boursin cheese. Cow cheese, people. COW!

The best neighborhood bar for the best people of Ukrainian Village. You may think the food is going to be your average bar food. BUTYOU’REWRONG! It’s better than a lot of Chicago restaurant foods — which is maybe saying something since most restaurants in Chicago pride themselves on having unique and exquisite flavors. This bar food is cooked fresh and it is pretty darn good. If you’re into meat, you should order a pork chop or the calamari. YUMM! You can even get takeout for those nights you are feeling kind of sluggish and just want to eat good food while watching Parks and Rec. The best thing about Tuman’s? Spiked root beer floats. Perfect for a little evening treat. The other best thing about Tuman’s? Their cute little patio. Eat that root beer float on the patio for a double good time. The wait staff is great and it seems like a lot of them work there regularly — so they know what’s up. The only downside to Tuman’s? The noise level after about 9 pm. And, the light level. It gets dark and loud. I am a 95 year old woman at heart and this combo makes it difficult to enjoy my pork chop and calamari. But. Let’s be real. 9 pm is past my bedtime so when it gets dark and loud, I just walk across the street to my apartment and go to sleep.

Ok, this place is my new spot here in the Windy City! I absolutely love it here. Parking, was a bit tight but I found something Fiat 500 size a few blocks away. Our server, Sam, really killed it. On point and attentive and a warm smile, I decided I liked her right away. Huge selection of craft beers and major label beers too. Full liquor bar and a diverse menu. I did the limited release Goose Island Blue Line Pilsner(Only 60 bars carrying it) crisp, and dry and surprisingly hoppy. I went with the beet and goat cheese salad that was very tasty and very well put together. I will be back sooner than later !

There are a few things that pull me over to Tuman’s time and time again. It’s not that special of a bar but it is. When I’m in the area and can’t find parking on Division street, I head over one block to Chicago Ave for Tuman’s. I always find parking in the front. The bar food is not bad at all and always looks good when I see the waitress making runs. I’ve had burgers, fries, chicken, you name it. Does not disappoint. The main attraction however is one I have yet to mention. Negate everything else. If you come here, you get the Not Your Father’s Root Beer by Small Town Brewery. There are only a handful of bars in Chicago that serve this 19.5% sweet sweet nectar of the gods. It is hands down my favorite beer. It is serious stuff. When I had 3, I said I love you to my girlfriend for the first time. Sh** just got real.

I haven’t been there at night, just for brunch. It’s very old and historic looking, so I imagine the bathroom isn’t the most ideal. What I will say is that the food is much better than expected. The bagel and lox with arugala is better tasting and 4 – 5 dollars less than the same menu item at Old Oak Tap down the street.

Awesome neighborhood bar, that after all these years, still maintains a sorta«divey» atmosphere. It’s been a good 5 years since I was last at Tuman’s and back then it was just meh. We came here after eating dinner at Old Oak Tap to just chill, but it was Saturday night which apparently meant, DJ night! We were quickly notified by the bouncer that the kitchen would be closing in less than 15 minutes, so that if we were hungry, we should try to put in an order. How nice of him, we thought! They had a decent tap list which was great because at this point we decided to switch to beer after liquoring up down the street. We had fun watching the crowd, and it wasn’t too loud to where we couldn’t hear each other talk. There weren’t any servers there, so if we wanted more beer or water, we’d have to go up to the bar, which wasn’t a big deal. As the night wore on, more people started filling the dance floor including a bachelorete party as the DJ was playing better songs. Soon enough, we decided to join the fun and danced til closing! SUPERFUN!!! So much so, we were wide awake after close and had to find somewhere else to take the party. Haha! The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because we didn’t try any of the food, which I keep reading, is the best reason to go. Hopefully next time we find ourselves back at Tuman’s(which I already decided WILL happen again soon) we’ll go for the food!

Great neighborhood bar with surprisingly non-generic food options. Delicious grilled calamari with arugula– perfectly grilled, good size portion for the value Soft Pretzel with cheesy beer sauce– real pretzel(not the movie theater kind) and nice sharp sauce(again, not the nacho crap). Great beer selection with generous specials.
