the pasta was really fresh and the people who work there are really friendly. Ordered a deep dish pizza but was ordered cheese tomato and basil as toppings separately-when there was a pie with all those ingredients for half the price. Asked and was told they don’t have a deep dish on the menu like that and hence the charges. Would not go back

Spinach slices, to die for. I would often boast to people«I bet Toni uses a full cup of spinach on each one of those slices!» They were what I’d call a wholesome meal. You got a tasty slice of Za and a healthy dose of vegetable. This is not to say that their other slices weren’t as equally pleasing, because they were. Over the years, it became my go-to spot for a great slice when nearing the downtown area.(Although pizza is found everywhere in Chicago, the memorable slices are worth the drive and remembrance. Especially when they’re served with a warm smile.) I’d always meant to write an update. My first visits and review were in 2011 and since that time, on occasion, Toni might recognize me when I stopped in for slices. She was always thankful for the praises people gave, whether that were in person or online. They cared about their name, their style and business. This was revealed in how nicely maintained their restaurant and offerings were. They were a joyous couple happy and thankful. But now it seems they have closed. In whatever direction they choose to go, I wish these two the best and hope to see Toni’s smiling face at another eatery or food truck one day.

I am sad and disappointed. I found out Monday the 27th that Toni’s has closed… The food was WONDERFUL and everyone was so very nice. Now I am stuck with the task of looking for another pizzeria.

This place is a hidden gem. It is really just for takeout but they have a table inside and a few tables outside, it was a nice night so we ate outside. The people couldn’t be nicer there and the stuffed spinach pizza was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it.

Not only is the pizza amazingly, cray good… but they also have these amazing sandwiches one of which I believe is called Toni’s Special. It’s so good that I have on occasion ordered both and found a way to enjoy them both simultaneously. I don’t have one favorite pizza type from there as they’re all good, but more recently, I’ve really taken to the sausage. On another note, so there’s this bar nearby that I’ve stumbled out of and into Toni’s frequently and if you have the drunken munchies, look no further than this pizza awesomeness. They’re so amazingly nice in there too that it keeps me going in there as much as the great food does. They run this place on such a personal level and they are doing a wonderful job at being the delicious, and friendly neighborhood shop.

First time visitor and sure enjoyed the Chicago style pizza! Authentic and flavorful. Quite filling. Pleasant staff. Small place-we sat outdoors– next time I would carry out or do delivery.

Toni’s is a place that I heard people rave about all the time, and when I finally tried it a little less than two years ago I was like, «What’s the big deal? I don’t get it.» Well, whenever a bunch of people love a place and I think its okay I usually am amenable to giving it another shot, which is exactly what I did tonight – and I am so glad that I did! I ordered a stuffed pizza with cheese and fresh garlic. Perhaps the best thing about Toni’s is just how fresh their ingredients are. You can just tell that the cheese is super fresh, and the sauce also has a zesty fresh taste. I would definitely recommend giving Toni’s a try, and I know I will order from them again!

We’ve been in the area for three years now, and when we first moved Tony’s was our only pizza place we ordered from. However, over the years The quality had gone down a little and we decided to order around. Just this past Friday, we decided to give it another try and ordered their specialty spinach pizza(our favorite). When it arrived, it looked a little burnt as was a dark brown, but perhaps it was in for just an extra minute or two and the crust still looked good so we pressed on. Then we decided to give it a taste. I am not kidding when I say chewing on a salt lick would have been less salty then how the pizza tasted. I pushed my way through the first piece, thinking perhaps it was just me. However, when I finished the piece of pizza my lips had pursed and tingled as if I had eaten an entire bag of Lays potato chips and we threw the rest of the pizza away. I feel bad if this was just a random occurrence and wish them the best, however we will no longer be purchasing pizzas from Tony’s. Not that price is always an indicator of quality, but spending over $ 20 on a pizza should have a higher floor than the quality tonight. Please excuse me while I pop a pill to fight this headache and have a glass of wine…

I absolutely love this place. The pizza is outstanding. Its definitely the best pizza i’ve ever had. I usually order half pepperoni, half sausage and onion 16inch thin crust. Its the perfect amount for a family of 4. The ingredients are fresh the cheese, sauce crust is all so perfectly AMAZING!!! i just love it. I only wish i lived closer.

Been to this place twice now — Gluten free option is great(crust was slightly sweet, fyi). I ordered my pie & it was ready(to the minute) of what their website estimated. The reason I choose to go to this place is because I asked a friend of mine«should I order from pizza place A or Toni’s?», and she responded«Toni’s without a doubt because their ingredients are the freshest». I think that about says it all. She was right — the pizza was perfect. They double-checked my order & sent us on our way. They also wrap their pizzas with plastic, always nice & fresh.

Gave Toni’s another chance after a while. Had they pan pizza a couple of times recently. The first time I re-tried, it was really great. Then we had it a couple weeks later and it was good, but not quite as good as the previous time. I think they put less sauce. I guess it just means they’re sorta inconsistent, but at least I’ve had something good.

I never remember this place, but every time I go there, I am like, «Man I really like this pizza.» Now, I must confess that my loneliness is killing… opps… let’s just pretend that didn’t happen… sports! But really, I must confess every time I come here I am on my way to Richard’s. But the pizza is always great! I always get a slice, it doesn’t matter what slice I get, always delicious. I have never tried anything else but the pizza. One day I will. If I lived closer I would definitely try more but I am usually in a hurry and want food before I go to Richards. But I definitely recommend the pizza!

The K2 concierge recommended this to me and I will be speaking with him about my experience. For starters, I’ve always heard good things about this place so wanted to try it out — I was told I wouldn’t be charged a delivery fee, which I was $ 2.75 –I asked for my pan pizza well done and THEYCHARGEDME $ 2.50! What type of place charges a fee to get your pizza well done! –I have the check to prove these charges as they are all itemized. –The pizza cheese was so slanted and basically off the pizza so I could barely eat it. –I couldnt even tell how good the pizza was because it was such a mess –Extremely Disappointed

Got delivered to the hotel room. Not bad for a delivery and they were nice on the phone. Got extra cheese and damn… it was extra cheese! If trapped in your room worth a easy meal.

This place is legit! This is our favorite place for pizza. Unfortunately we moved to Roscoe Village outside the delivery zone but will still drive to Tony’s for the pie. We are thin crust lovers and the pizza is always fresh with great favors. There is the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The shop is unassuming but that is the appeal. You will often find Tony working behind the counter and you can immediately tell his passion for what he does. This place does get busy on the weekends and if you want delivery it can take awhile, but trust me it will be worth the wait.

First off, let me say this location is amazing. If you framed it so it was just the storefront, you’d swear it was from one of the Five Boroughs. Inside, it’s just as awesome. You have a warm, inviting atmosphere powered by a kind old man with smiling eyes and his family. And the pizza by the slice? So delicious. Even in my scotch-induced haze, I could taste the perfectly crispy crust, the not-too-sweet sauce, the delicious cheese, and almost too many pieces of perfect Italian sausage on a gigantic slice, even bigger than New York style. And only four bucks??? FUHGETTABOUTIT. I’d be here every freakin’ night if I could.

Just wanted to say… we have been here lots lately. We LOVE their pan pizza. We liked their stuffed… but def would do the pan over the stuffed. Meatballs are good. Stuffed mushrooms are also pretty delish.

Maybe it was the hype from the 4.5 star average rating. But Toni’s did not live up. The Spinach Deep Dish was okay, but nothing more. The Pepperoni Pan Pizza was really good. Other reviewers complained about the over abundance of cheese. There is a lot of cheese, but I thought it was delicious with lots of cheese. The reviews about how great the gluten free pizza is made me wonder if Chicago just doesn’t have good gluten free pizza. It was so so at best.

This is my new favorite pizza place! I am definitely making an encore here. The pizza tastes home style like Mom. They have a great variety of appetizers, pizza, subs and dessert. They do carry out, delivery and eat in. I see myself coming in here before class to pick my din din. In addition, they have variation on the crust style. Which is made to your order! It’s Byob! And They Even Have Outdoor Seating!!! So come by yourself or make it a party. The service here is homey, and fun! The ambiance is quaint yet comfortable. Once you come, you will never want to leave. You will leave here with a smile and planning when you will be back for a second time.
