Tommy Bahama Flagship

This store is awesome! When you step in you instantly feel as though you’re at the beach or on an island in the Caribbean! Although they traditionally cater to relaxed and resort wear they have an extensive FALL/​WINTER COLLECTION for both men and women. They produce high quality products which isn’t always the case with today’s clothiers.
The staff that works here is equally outstanding! Everyone is so helpful and knowledgable of the product. The sales staff provide a very personal intimate experience for all the guest which I appreciate.

The calendar and outdoor conditions may say summer, but the stores would like you to believe that it is time to start thinking about fall, or at least the pre-​fall collections. I found this out the hard way last weekend, as I went in search of a coverup to wear poolside and struck out at Old Navy, Target, and Nordstrom. Just as I was about to call off the search, I recalled that a sparkling new Tommy Bahama flagship had opened on Michigan Avenue about a month ago. I stopped in and was immediately greeted by an urban interpretation of tropical paradise. The women’s selection is smaller – in fact, the entire store is not as spacious as I would have been given to expect from a flagship – but it did not disappoint. The merchandise was logically grouped according to color and the salespeople that I encountered were extremely helpful. The fitting rooms were spacious as well, always a plus when dealing with swimwear. I was able to score a crinkly white boyfriend shirt to complement my Old Navy one piece and am already plotting a return trip to take advantage of the summer sale and bring a dose of resort style to the pool deck of my apartment.
