The Wishing Well Florist

The Wishing Well Florist was the last vendor we booked for our October 2015 wedding at Promontory Point and definitely one of the best! Heidi is a true professional and willing to work with you, even on a smaller budget, to make your vision come true. We provided Heidi with painted gold bottles, which she used to create our look. Also, I LOVED my bouquet. I asked for purple and I got purple.
We loved working with her. She has a great demeanor and is really calm, which is an perfect for weddings!

Heidi is definitely one of the most professional and talented florists that we have worked with in town. Before we went to Wishing Well, we’ve already formed a pretty good idea about what we wanted the flowers to look like. We’ve talked to several other florists too but we decided to work with Heidi, not only because she understood our ideas almost immediately and was able to work out all the details to make that happen, but also because she was willing to work around our budget.
AND Our flowers looked stunning.

Wishing Well was one of our favorite wedding vendors during our June 2015 wedding. Heidi absolutely killed it! Heidi’s has done weddings at most wedding venues in Chicago and has binders of photographs of her work in each space to give you ideas. Heidi was so sweet and easy going to work with… even when we changed our minds on some details. She was not pushy by any means and was respectful of the budget we gave her. She always gave options where possible and let us know what the price differences were between the options. The quote we got from Wishing Well was competitive compared to other Chicago florists. A couple months before our wedding Heidi had us over to show us a mock-​up of a centerpiece– she wanted to make sure she has the right «blush» tone for our roses– such attention to detail.
On the day of the wedding, the flowers exceeded my expectations… everything looked and smelled so fresh and beautiful. Even the small details were amazing. from the matching flower petals around the cake to the ribbons on the arrangements. Heidi even brought a back up boutonnière for my groom– and changed his out right before the ceremony so it would look as fresh as possible. The centerpieces looked full and beautiful on the day of and they still looked great for almost a full week. I would absolutely recommend Wishing Well for your wedding flower needs!

We worked with Dorothy for our flowers and décor at our wedding this past weekend. The way that Dorothy transformed our venue was amazing. We were truly blown away by the work that she did and the final result far exceeded our expectations. I had purchased all of our vases, candle holders, and candles separately. Dorothy and her assistant worked with our materials and made something magical. When we started all of our wedding planning, we did not even want to hire a florist. It is a good thing we did because her work was one of the best parts of our wedding and everything was pretty good so that is saying a lot! Thank you Dorothy!

Heidi at Wishing Well Florist did the flowers for my wedding day on 11÷29÷14 and she did such a great job! I know pretty much nothing about flowers and she was able to translate what I asked for perfectly and within the budget I asked for. She didn’t try to sell me anything extra and was very upfront with costs. She was also great to work with and once you book her she provides you with a «preview» where she puts together some sample arrangements to make sure she is on the right track. This was very helpful and made me a lot calmer about what the final product would be. I would recommend her to anyone needed flowers for a special event!

We used Heidi this past weekend for our wedding and could not have been happier! We live in another state and didn’t have a chance to ever meet with her and somehow just through pictures and a lot of e mails back and forth she nailed exactly what I wanted! I will highly recommend to anyone I know!

We used the Wishing Well as our wedding florist for our wedding in May. After researching many florists in the city, we found the Wishing Well thanks to Unilocal and decided to check out their website. Searching through some of their posted photos of past wedding work, we found examples of bouquets and centerpieces that resembled the look we wanted and decided to contact them to set up an appointment. During our initial meeting to discuss our design choices, Heidi was extremely helpful at brainstorming ideas and asking questions to things we wouldn’t have though to bring up. Although we hadn’t originally planned on using the florist for our Chuppah, we decided a few months before the wedding to use Heidi’s materials and to have her design it. She was very accommodating and was flexible throughout our entire experience. When we met for our final floral appointment to see a mock-​up of our main centerpiece, we were blown away by how beautiful it looked and how easily Heidi had captured and carried out our vision. Both of our moms came to this appointment with us, and despite all of the opinions and ideas circulating, Heidi was extremely patient with everyone and never made us feel rushed to decide anything. The Wishing Well’s prices are very affordable and well worth the cost. All of the bouquets came out so beautifully and the look of the ceremony and reception was everything we had hoped it would be.

We used Wishing Well for our wedding last month and I am so happy we did! Heidi and her team did a great job on mine and bridal party bouquets as well as our centerpieces. I purchased vases separately and we were able to drop them off with her a few weeks before the wedding. We also hired her to set up some décor at our venue and she did a perfect job with that as well.
Heidi was easy to work with, very professional, quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Though we didn’t have anything overly complicated, she understood our vision from the start and on the «trial» day, there wasn’t really much to change or edit. Her prices are very good (unlike the ridiculous numbers I received from several others) and the flowers were beautiful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a florist for a wedding or any other event!

Flowers are flowers, right? No! Heidi truly adds an artistic touch to her pieces.
We got the flowers for my daughter’s wedding at this establishment. My daughter and I spoke to her about the colors and flower choices. My daughter’s father payed the bill, so I am unsure about the billing process. All I can say is that Heidi is very receptive and does an excellent job. The flowers are of top quality.

We worked with Dorothy for our Sept 19 wedding and had a great experience. Some other event florists in Chicago wouldn’t even work with us as we couldn’t meet minimum budget requirements. Dorothy was able to put together a plan that fit our budget and still incorporated some of our favorite more pricey flowers. Not to mention lots of personal attention that really made us feel valued.
