We walked here from the west end of the 606 to get some ice cream. The ambiance has a little to be desired but they have about 20 flavors of ice cream and a selection of sorbets that seem to be made in house. I sampled an ice cream which tasted great, but I decided to keep it light and order sorbet. The mango sorbet treated delicious and had a wonderful smooth texture, with some bits of real mango. My friend and I also shared some Cheetohs con queso as a snack. The staff was super friendly and the prices are are low!

I tried the cookies & cream ice cream & it was delicious! Also took home an arroz con leche, nanche, & nuez paleta. Yum! The space was small but nice & clean.

Great experience. friendly staff. explained all of the different flavors and ingredients in detail. Chocolate covered strawberries made with what seems to be Hershey chocolate quality. Everything made with rich quality ingredients. One of the best ice cream shops we’ve been to in years. «better than oberwise». Corn in a cup, cuerritos loaded with the works and chips with hot sauce all Estillo Mexico. Im truly impressed. Thank you, The Scoop Severia! #LoveThisPlace

I was surprised by the greatness of this place. I had a snack attack and Unilocal led me here. I was a bit skeptical, but i do what I am told and Unilocal did not lead me astray. The place takes credit, with a $ 5 minimum however at their prices you can scrap together enough change to cover it. A sugar cone with a GENEROUS scoop is 1.50+ tax. A waffle cone with a HUGE helping of 2+ scoops is only 3.50. Milkshakes are under 5 bucks and the other prices follow the low threshold. The ice cream flavors are written in Spanish and English. While the translations could be better, all the ice cream is visible and you can guess or sample. The place is outfitted with 3 – 4 tables, a deep couch and a TV which was playing some kid friendly cartoon. If you are in the area or plan to go for a walk around humbolt park stop by and enjoy a true neighborhood spot, with competitive prices and great products!

The Scoop Neveria is another hidden gem in Humboldt Park. They opened a few weeks ago and I’ve had nothing but great experiences at this new ice cream shop. They serve Mexican ice cream of all flavors, some flavors are very unique but they also have traditional ice cream flavors. Ever had a Gansito? It’s like a Mexican twinkie that’s been dipped in chocolate and it has cream and jelly in the center. Well, The Scoop Neveria has the Gansito ice cream flavor! And it is heavenly! They have a huge array of paletas(Mexican Popsicles) to take home. They are all freshly made with fresh ingredients and surpass any paletas I’ve bought from ice cream carts I see in the summertime. They have amazing ice cream sandwiches. I just had one today that was freshly made wtih a crisp chocolate graham cracker, coconut ice cream, and it was rolled in coconut flakes. It was really good. It is a family owned business and they are so nice. I have come to get ice cream here several times since they’ve opened. I really hope that they will prosper in our neighborhood, and I’m glad to see them opening a great business along the North & Pulaski Avenue corridor. This place is as good as it gets!
