I usually don’t post on Unilocal, but I always find the reviews helpful so it’s my time to give some feedback. The quality of my gift from the Clay Pot was so shocking that I really thought I should post this. My parents wanted to surprise me and sent me a gift basket my way which was incredibly thoughtful. However, I feel really badly they spent money on the gift given the quality(which I’m sure they had no idea about). It ends up that in the gift basket of food, there was a box of chocolate crisps included. When I opened the box of chocolate crisps, they had been half eaten! I kid you not! The air tight foil wrap was torn opened, and half of the chocolate crisps were taken out, then the foil wrap was taped shut with tape and they were stuffed back in the chocolate box. I couldn’t believe it(!) They ate part of what they gave me, re-wrapped the rest, and stuck it in the basket! Then, there were about 10 baby carrots but in a baggy which didn’t look like they were in too good of shape. This is probably the worst showing of quality I have ever experienced in a gift basket. I just wanted to write this in case you are someone wanting to send a nice gift to someone. I don’t want you to waste your money on this –I would order something online from a reputable company instead since I’m sure the quality will be much better.

I was EXTREMELY dissapointed! I paid $ 65 for arrangement specifying certain style and flowers I wanted and price agreed but the recipient in hospital did not get anything close to what one would expect for $ 65 plus $ 10 delivery. The arrangement looked like it was not done by a professional– when do you have all purple flowers and just ONEWHITEFLOWER? For balance and symmetry, should at least have three of same. I called to complain and they did not offer to make any adjustment! They used 5 different greens too! Too many, too complicated for fillers. Their Google ad also says free delivery which is untrue! False advertising:(DONOTUSETHEM– way over priced for what you get!

Flowers from The Clay Pot were were delivered to me on a Thursday afternoon. Only 4 days later all the flowers were dead. I also noticed mold growing on the stems. I didn’t mention this to the sender as they were a gracious gift but I’m posting this to warn others to spend your money elsewhere.

Extremely OVER priced!!! Ordered a simple BUDVASE of flowers — no roses, just everyday florist flowers — and they charged me close to $ 60. When I finally came to my senses, I called back and cancelled. Delivery fee? Sure — to an office practically across the street in the Loop. How many flowers can you fit in a bud vase?!

This place is a huge ripoff! They display flowers on their website that are 2 – 3 times as large as they really deliver. They charged $ 75 for a bouquet that was supposed to be 14 –16 inches tall with over 20 flowers. The delivered a bouquet o flowers that was just over 8 inches tall that had 11 flowers in it. It looks like it would cost around $ 15 at any other place. Buyers beware!!!

I wish i had read this review before i had ordered. I am based out of Boston, but ordered an arrangement to be delivered today morning. When i talked to the person taking the order on the phone, Bob, he assured me the order will be delivered first thing in the morning between 9 and 10. This is important as the recipient had her graduation and was heading out promptly after 10. Order was delivered at 10:30. To the doorman. The recipient was not even informed about the delivery. Dont know about the quality as the flowers have not been delivered as yet. Dont care, as if you cannot keep your promise about delivery, then it doesnt matter. When i called up the store once again, i was given a 15 min lecture on why 10 is the same as 10:30. It wasnt yelling, but it was passive rudeness. Will not shop again here.
