This place has some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. The people there are always friendly and the pastries taste homemade. Having grown up on homemade pie, cookies, breads, etc(I was spoiled by my relatives!) I’m really picky about sweets, but LeFlour’s snacks never disappoint! My only complaint is that they don’t have a bathroom for customers to use.

The 5-stars they’ve been getting speaks for itself. Love their coffee. Tired of the basic Starbucks and Dunkins this is a refreshing place with wonderful and genuine coffee. Love their signature drinks. Raspberry Mocha has my name on it every time.

This place was great! I had some time to kill before my flight and wanted to get some work done. This place was perfect. I got to enjoy a delicious chai and blueberry muffin in a very relaxed, comfortable environment. The owners were very friendly. I will definitely come back.

GREAT coffee! The ham & cheese croissants are some of the best I have tried anywhere. Make sure you get there early because they usually sell out quickly. Waiting for a Metra train to the city from the Edison Park train station you couldn’t ask for a better place to grab a coffee and something to go. People are always friendly! Price range moderate for a coffee shop.

Incredibly cute little coffee shop. Totally gives you that local, neighborhood feel — different than the big chain! The espresso is soo delicious! The baristas are so sweet and chatty. My husband and I just love this place! Also — every single baked good in the case is AMAZING.

Ohmigod. I normally don’t leave reviews but this place is THAT good. I got the apricot poptart and it was mindblowingly delicious. The filling was good but the pastry. The pastry!!! It was rich and flaky with a hint of salt that enhanced the flavors. I also got a blueberry muffin which was fan-freakin-tastic. My only regret is that I don’t live closer to eat here more often.

Love this little coffee shop. Located on the corner it’s so cute and inviting. And the baristas/servers are so nice! They are really friendly and actually talk to you. They have some fun coffee drinks if you like the fancier sweeter drinks as well as the classics. Their desserts — OMG! I think I’ve tried like 4 – 5 items so far and each was better than the last. Seriously delicious homemade goodness and it’s always fresh. I love sitting here and relaxing with a friend or alone to get some work done. And it’s great cause it’s so close to my husbands work so I can stop in here any time I want. I really enjoy little spots like this that are NOT Starbucks shops. Real coffee.

I love walking into a place I’ve never been before and I’m treated like a regular. Had a meeting reschedule and found myself in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Mapped to a «coffee shop near me» that wasn’t a chain(love spending my money with independent businesses. Kristen, the owner of this local gem, greeted me like a friend. Bubbly and informative, we chatted about the ingredients and experience I was looking to have. With some dietary stuff to consider, she found the perfect beverage and treat for me. This neighborhood is lucky to have The Café @ LeFlour. ORDER: Café Cubano and Rosemary & Three Cheese muffin.

I had been seeing several rave reviews about this place on social media and finally decided to pop in to experience it myself. The first thing I noticed was the quaint atmosphere-comfy chairs and tables, perfect for catching up with a friend or enjoying a moment and a cup of coffee to yourself! The menu board was large and the flavors of freshly baked goodies were too enticing to resist. All the calories I worked off in yoga just minutes before, were packed on(with pleasure) as I bit into a sample of their«brookie»(brownie/cookie), fresh from the oven. I coupled an order of not 1, but 2 of them, with some Café Cubanos. As I waited for them to be assembled, I casually chatted with one of the owners, an experience that I’ve grown to love every time I stop into a local business. Overall, the atmosphere, service and most importantly, the food, all receive gold stars in my book! Can’t wait to make this a regular stop!

When finding a truly great cup of coffee it can sometimes be daunting due to the number of mediocre places that seem to be a staple in most neighborhoods. This place is not one of them. I had the Café Cubano and it was not filled to the brim of syrup or other things that are intended to mask the taste of really good coffee. It was bold but not bitter(like I like my men). I grew up eating poptarts but if I had grown up eating the ones from this café I think my appreciation for great pastries would have increased 10 fold and my waste line would have followed. Not only was it perfectly flaky but the filling to crust ratio was on point. I very much look forward to coming back and trying some of their tea beverages. Keep up the good work!

This place is truly amazing. To start off, the bakery items are spectacular. They are in house made, created with the freshest ingredients, and taste amazing! The café’s menu offers something for everyone. The service is fantastic. You will be greeted with a warm and welcome hello from Kristin and Rachel the owners. These ladies know what they are doing and will put a smile on your face all day long! This café is perfect!!!

Stopped in this morning for the first time and loved it. Café Cubano and mocha raspberry latte were wonderful. Peanut butter cookie was very tasty. This place had more of a buck town semi urban kind of vibe which we liked. We will be back.

What a great neighborhood coffee shop in Edison park… right at the Metra station and walking distance for me! I can’t believe I haven’t been in since the new owners took over in June! Went in to meet a lifelong friend and her daughter who was heading off to college! What a treat it was! The atmosphere was so welcoming! Service was exceptional. The owner Rachel is so delightful! The baked goods are delicious and the coffee and teas that we tried are really«tops». It’ll be my new morning stop before the drive into work!

Ahhh, The Café At LeFlour– The Edison Park neighborhood finally has a real, true neighborhood coffee shop. But LeFlour is not just a coffee shop– it’s also a nice, homey, and friendly bake shop. And the owner is as nice as they come– she makes everybody feel very welcome from the moment they walk through her door. She truly loves her business, and her hard work is readily apparent in both the shops’ interior and the sheer taste of her coffees, expresso, teas, bakery goods, and everything in between. Whether you’re just starting your day on the way to the Edison Park Metra station, or just looking for a nice place to meet your friends and family in the middle of the day, Café LeFlour is the place to be. They have a wonderful, artfully prepared black board that features a very diverse menu of coffees and signature drinks which include a Raspberry Sweet Mocha, a Skinny Toffee Crunch Latte, a Peppermint Mocha, a Caramelatta, a Mexican Mocha, and even a Nutella Mocha, among others. LeFlour even features a signature drink known as the Café Cubano, which consists of a rich expresso brewed with raw sugar, cinnamon, steamed milk topped with foam. At this point, if you’re thinking to yourself, «what the heck was I doing at Starbucks all these years,» then don’t feel bad. I had the exact same thought the first time I experienced their Mexican hot chocolate with cinnamon. The word excellent is an understatement. If it’s expresso drinks you’re looking for, then they’ve got it all from traditional latte to cappuccino, mocha, Americano, and macchiato. They also have hot specials that include Matcha green tea latte and cinnamon roll mocha. They even have very tasty smoothies and frappes, lemonades, chai, and just about every hot tea and iced tea you could ever want. In addition to this very extensive menu, LeFlour has an excellent variety of muffins, scones, cookies, brownies, cinnamon bars, lemon bars, and croissants. And their croissants(regular, chocolate, or ham and cheese) are every bit as good as any croissants you’ll ever have at any market in Europe. Thankfully, you don’t have to travel to Europe to get them because they’re right here in the Edison Park neighborhood of Chicago. You know what else you don’t have to travel far for anymore? A simple freshly brewed medium or dark roast coffee. How can you beat that? Well, you can’t beat that, and that’s why I’m very thankful that there is finally a real coffee shop in town. A coffee shop that has something for everyone. Most importantly, this neighborhood finally has a coffee shop that not only makes great coffees, but makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. In this day and age of high tech everything and no personalized attention, there is still something to be said for great service. And LeFlour is the quintessential example of the friendly neighborhood café with great service from its’ owner to her very hard working, and dedicated staff. BOTTOMLINE: Skip Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, and discover a real café treat right in your own backyard, with a truly diverse menu that will have you wondering why you ever went anywhere else for your coffee and bakery needs. Similarly, it’s great to see a business owner that genuinely cares about your overall experience inside her store. We should all be celebrating places like these because they are getting fewer and far between these days. Good stuff. PERFECTION.
