5 stars! I stopped in this place while in the area and was amazed with the food & service. This is a smallish bar style restaurant with about 7 to 10 tables /​booths. They also have a billiard table. Most bars don’t have great food, but this place served up some fresh and tasty items. We tried 5 items:
1. Wings — pretty much your standard wings but fresh and tasty.
2. Nachos — my girlfriend said the homemade salsas were very good.
3. Pizza — sausage & green pepper. Awesome! I’ve been to some little bars that serve frozen pizza. This place homemakes their pizza and the crust is super good along with the fresh ingredients! Highly recomend the pizza!
4. Beef tacos — filled with plenty of beef and very yummy!
5. Margaritta — better than most
Overall I would give the food 4 stars for this type of restaurant /​bar. I raised the whole review to 5 stars due to the amazing service! Very welcoming and friendly service!

This place is basic, but not in a cool dive bar way, more like a not living up to its potential way. The menu is so out of line with what one expects at a nicer sports bar, especially in Old Town. I mean the throwback layouts with cheap pictures and the actual food selection of food is stuck in the 80s-​90s. They desperately need some help. And how about some vegetarian options besides a salad? It is 2015.
Service is okay — came for Beats game with my mom and was served my check before the first quarter was even over. Ummm I’m clearly in a Bears hat and my eyes are peeled to the TV — why are you trying to kick me out already?!
It’s so close to my mom’s place so I’ll give it another try but I cannot recommend.

Great burgers really attentive wait staff and good beer selection, what else could you ask for? Oh and there are also plenty of monitors to catch a game if you want.

I was previously apprehensive to try Old Town Burger Saloon (their name prior to changing it), because of the sub par Unilocal ratings. Right around the corner from my condo, I was starving and needed a burger after a long day at work. Best decision I’ve made in a while, because this is hands down the greatest burger I’ve had in Old Town. I try to stop in every week for a grass fed cheeseburger (try it with a fried egg and bacon)! The sweet potato fries are just on point. Atmosphere is nice; a small town feel in the big city. Never too busy, and the service is nice. Highly recommended!

This place has changed names a few times in a fairly short period of time. Formerly the Old Town Burger Saloon, this place has updated the sign and menu. There are some more food options and it has pictures. The interior is the exact same.
I came by out of convenience as usual and ordered the Old Town Beef Burger with grass fed beef. I don’t usually spend the extra money for the grass fed beef. I’m not sure if it was that or a new cook or something else, but this was easily the best burger I’ve had at this place. It is enough to convince me that they’ve updated more than the menu by adding pictures.
Heads up though, the mugs for draft beers are probably 12oz mugs, not pints. This is not new, but I only discovered it when pouring my can into it.

Descriptive phrase: a standard, no-​pretense bar.
We stopped into Tavern on Wells late one Saturday for a nightcap. It’s your standard-​issue sports/​locals bar. They’ve got TVs and beer and shots. It’s the bar you go to if you’re in the mood for a domestic beer but not in the mood for mixologists and dropping bass.

Came here with my Boyfriend who had bought a Groupon for the Tavern On Wells. We came not expecting much but actually we had a good time. Our waitress was extremely attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I wish I could remember her name. But, she gave us a run down on everything to the Beer Selection to the Entrees. Which we appreciated since it was our first time there. I ended up ordering a stuffed burger which was AMAZING and my boyfriend got a pizza with like Four toppings which was YUMMY too. The Groupon included two beers/​wine we opted for Beers. I wanted something kind of sweet so she suggested Not Your Fathers Root Beer which was surprisingly good.
Overall I would definitely come back with or without Groupon !

Great staff. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. The owner was just as friendly. I recommend you stop by and try the sliders with a blue moon and a side of a shot of FireBall… Cheers
