The menudo is not good! It has a layer of grease floating on top. Once you skim it off and try to eat it the flavor is very bland. I’ve had their tacos and tortas… they’re ok. El Gallo Tapatio one block down is way better!

Great food. Love the beef tacos and guacamole. Consistent quality and fast accurate service. Check it out if you live in the area!

Mi Tia restaurant was actually really good when it first opened up in the Clearing neighborhood(about 5 – 6 years). Health department even shut them down at some point. Not sure what happened but the food sucks now as well as the customer service. I cook way better Mexican food! Will never go back!

Ok, I have been a big fan of this place for a long time. It is a small, quaint, family owned and operated restaurant that fits right into this fast changing blue collar neighborhood. I sure miss going to this place now that I have moved out of the area. I used to eat at this place at least once a week, mostly would take advantage of one of the daily specials, $ 1 tacos, $ 3 tortas or $ 1.50 sopes. My favorites were the steak tacos and the sopes(nopales and chicharon con salsa verde). I also recommend trying their enchilada dinner and their breakfast options. Very tasty and nice portions. Overall this place is very inexpensive, the service is good, but just a tad slow, so be prepared to wait, it will be worth it.

Nice little family owned spot. Cheap food and quality products. The quesadillas are some of the best I’ve ever had… HUGE and cheap! They offer pumpkin flower, which is such a treat! there horchata is always tasty, great gorditas, tacos, and breakfast. My favorite are the tamales de oaxaquenos. filled with chicken mole and steamed in banana leaves, these aren’t to be missed. Don’t forget the carnitas and pozole on the weekends!
