I purchased a $ 100 Groupon for a 2.5 hour sail for two as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. I contacted Tall ship Adventures to schedule the sail and to find out about whether or not I could book a fireworks tour to make it extra special. I paid additional for this. Long story short, the sail was cancelled due to rainy/inclement weather. I have called them several times to request a refund. I’ve been told that I could rebook the sail but have explained to them at length that the sail was booked as a birthday present for a birthday that was long since past. I have received several excuses for why I’m receiving the POORESTCUSTOMERSERVICE I HAVEEVEREXPERIENCED including they moved their office and my file was in storage, not enough staff, etc. CAPTAINBRUCEHIMSELF has promised someone would call me back, and they never did. I contacted them several times over a period of a few months and this has never been resolved. DONOT book a sail trip through this company. There are several others to choose from in chicagoland and i recommend using someone else if you are looking to have a hassle-free good time. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had and I will never use them again.

Didn’t get to use my TravelZoo vouchers for a Tall Ship Adventure because Tall Ships was inexplicably closed that day – no notice on the website, no one picking up the phone, so we showed up and wasted $ 30 on nothing, and they wouldn’t give me a refund. Sounds like these guys have zero customer services skills. Went on the architecture cruise instead and had a great time.

If you want to be jerked around please give money to these people as it is a waste of time. I purchased a groupon for two moonlight tours totaling $ 90.00. I made a reservation for my boyfriend and I on the 30th of August for a 9pm sail. It was mid afternoon when I called them to get more details as I have not had any confirmation from. They informed me that sail time had been cancelled as there were not enough people booked. This was a one year anniversary gift I bought, and my boyfriend took off work(he works nights). I was fuming that they did not call me the day before or hmmmmmm maybe even on THAT day?! What the heck! I ended up making a reservation for a 4pm tour on the 7th of September just to have them call and cancel again, this is after I took the day off work(I work afternoons)! I ended up calling groupon and getting my money back. I warn all who buy from these people to make sure you have an open schedule, lots of patience, and apparently no life. I understand sometimes things come up in life that can’t be avoided but you are running a business and I didn’t get so much as an «I’m sorry we were swamped at the office and I was just about to call you». The first tour was barely booked so you couldn’t have had many phone calls to make! TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE.
