Food is decent and slightly overpriced. With a group of 9, when we received our bill we were informed that the computer can only split the bill 4 ways. Finally, the restaurant has a 20% off coupon via the Unilocal app, but when showed to management, we were informed they do not take that coupon. Either the management was misinformed, or the coupon needs to be removed. Overall a disappointment.

I recently started work near here and this is the closest full service restaurant for this meat eater south of the expressway. I ordered a burger and fries. Both were served hot and the burger was cooked the way I wanted. I can be a rather assertive person and ordered from the hostess immediately when I was seated. I also walked up from my table and paid the hostess directly when I was finished eating. In this way, I had no service issues and got back to work on time. It does not have the pizzazz of downtown or north side eateries, but I wasn’t expecting that either. I could go to the Greek Town restaurants, but they are half a mile away across the expressway. I’ll be coming back for good, basic food.

I’d give half a star if possible for this lousy place. Let me start by saying I have given this place an astounding four chances. Why would I support a place with lukewarm food and extremely slow service so many times? The answer is simple. Location. Once a year my company keeps me in the same hotel that houses Sunny’s and I’m there for several days. I usually stay here during the winter months so quite often it’s cold, rainy and windy. In addition I was basically wanting this place to work. It does not! If you get service immediately, don’t expect it to last throughout your meal. One visit I waited 10 minutes to place a drink order. Another visit I waited 30 minutes for a mediocre, lukewarm quesadilla. Another time it was 10 minutes for a side of gravy. A restaurant is only as strong as its weakest link and in this restaurant the weakest link is coming from lack of management.

The food was terrible. Barely food. It looks like Sunny’s was bought out by Holiday Inn and the breakfast menu was cut way back. I was literally the only customer in there, but the food was cold by the time it got to me. The hash browns were skimpy. The breakfast sandwich had zero flavor. It’s bacon, egg, and cheese… How can you fuck up the basic elements of breakfast? It sucks because I live so close. I wanted at least the food to be decent, but far from it. If you want great breakfast food, go to Epels Restaurant on Roosevelt.

I just moved here and was excited to see a restaurant right across the street. Then I looked at Unilocal and decided not to go there. I was talking to a work associate last week that told me that when she was there about 6 months ago, they were informed that there was recently a huge staff change due to the terrible job this place was doing. I decided to give it a try. I had a bbq pulled pork sandwich and onion rings. I thought the food, while not life changing, was pretty good! The prices were really reasonable. I’ll definitely be going back, and am glad to see things have improved.

Decent pancakes and biscuits and gravy. People said the service was bad, our service was great! Convenient for breakfast for sure!

there is not much to say about this place. Service is terrible, food is ok. at best. I had the fish and chip sliders and the chip which were like potato chips were greasy and no taste not even salt. and to get salt took too much for greasy chips any way… I had to ask for a copy of my receipt… this is a last resort place to go.

If I could give them zero stars I would. A group of us stayed at the hotel connected to the building and stopped in for a quick breakfast. We ordered a waffle, eggs, bagels, and sausage. Nothing that takes a long time to prepare. The restaurant was totally empty. We got our food an hour later. My friend has celiac and made it clear that she couldn’t eat any bread and they put her eggs on bread. The food was warm at best. My turkey sausage was grey and had clearly been sitting out. I sent it back. The food was disgusting. I’m embarrassed for them. This place is appalling.

It’s the kind of bar you go to because it’s convenient, not because you’re excited to go there. I met up with a friend staying at the holiday inn this bar is attached to. We were served by Millie who was really nice and I recommend talking with her. I got sliders, half burgers half BBQ pork. They were pretty good and actually a steal at $ 7 for the plate. On a cold Chicago night I order warm cocktails, typically Irish coffee consisting of Jameson and baileys. She made it great the first time but then they ran out of baileys which is always a let down. Honestly the best way I could sum this place up is this: this place is acceptable and fairly priced, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to patronize it.

*sigh* I was really wanting to like this place, especially in its good location. But service, food quality, staff(except for one lady) were so off par I would be livid if I was the owner. I was seated by a gentleman from the host desk and then a waiter came to me and said I had to move because«his» customer was sitting there.(I think we’re all your customers no?) Then I politely asked where could I move to since I didn’t want to accidentally sit in anyone else’s seat and he responded, «I don’t know, wherever you like, just not here» LOL…I should’ve sat on top of the host desk I asked if he could check with the host where specifically just so that I wouldn’t have to move again and he responded, «I guess but trust me anywhere is fine» I moved and no it wasn’t fine. oy vay! It didn’t matter because my food never came anyway, my waiter switched without notice and got a very sweet lady that asked me to order anything on the menu — it would be comped due to the bad experience which bumped my rating from 1 to 2. If the food quality was good then it would’ve been a 3.

Don’t order the meatloaf. We were a party of 15+ & more than half the table sent their meals back. The meatloaf was horrible-no taste bland. The burgers were over cooked & dry. A very disappointing meal. Skip Sunny’s at together.
