Located in the heart of the Viagra triangle, so you know there’s no parking! Store had good service from Mario, and selection is decent, but you obviously have way more options to pick from searching online. And all online sunglass sites have free return policies if you don’t like them.

Let’s talk about customer service. I’m in customer service, so I understand that dealing with the public can be a bit challenging at times… The staff at this location doesn’t seem to have any concept of what customer service means. I went in to return a pair of sunglasses that was within their 90 day warranty. I had already verified all of the information that I would need over the phone with sunglass hut corporate customer service line and had an electronic copy of the receipt that was sent to me by the telephone customer service representative. I took the trouble to drive into downtown River North to complete an exchange at this location. Needless to say I was very disappointed when the sales clerk refused to use the electronic receipt and insisted that he required a paper copy of the receipt in order to make an exchange. He even suggested that I go down the street and have a copy of it printed at the FedEx Kinko’s. Seriously, are we in 1998? As the store clerk was unwilling/unable to help me, I had to call the corporate customer service line and the customer service line representative had to call the store directly. The sales representative in the store was still not able to look up my information in the computer despite the fact that he was supposed to be able to access that information. Ultimately I left the store without having completed the exchange and with an apology from the telephone representative and a guarantee that someone would follow up with me. Since this store doesn’t seem to be able to solve the problems on their own without involvement from their corporate office, I would recommend going to another sunglass hut location. Absolutely horrible experience.

Great service picking out sunglasses. They exchanged my expensive Mauie Jims that I purchased for new ones when my dog ate them because I was still within the 30 or 90 day exchange period. When I managed to bend the new glasses I was outside the exchange window, but they gave me a free box pre-addressed to the manufacturer and reprinted my receipt for me. After only $ 10 processing to MJ and no hassle, I have a new pair of sunglasses. Awesome.
