As a little girl, I have always dreamed of attending Sundance Film Festival. Having the possibility to rub elbows with famous actors and watch cutting edge films, always attracted me to the two weekends of fun. Not to mention, the gorgeous surroundings of Park City! My dream came true last year, and was almost immediately squashed, due to the fest expanding to Salt Lake City, the possibility of not be able to purchase tickets, and the obscene lines before each film. Needless to say, the best part of the trip was the first movie we saw and the time I hung out with my babe and my brother and his friends. Even after writing a complaint letter to the organization did not get the sour taste of the experience out of my mouth. You cannot imagine my giddiness when my babe surprised me with a ticket to Sundance U.S.A. on Thursday, January 26th. It reminded me of a mini-Sundance! The Music Box resembled one of the theaters we sat in, last year in Park City and the line brought back old memories too. Thank goodness the line was shorter and we did not have to wait as long! We saw the film, Two Days in New York, which was quick witted and true to life. Before the film, an actress in the film, spoke to the audience; and after the film, their was a Q & A session with Julia Delpy via Skype. Super cool! If you do not have time nor the money to make it to Sundance Film Festival, but want to be part of the excitement, please partake in Sundance U.S.A. It is not the same experience, but definitely a close second on a smaller scale!
