Let’s go through my coffee shop checklist: 1. Tasty drinks: Standard Starbucks. Sometimes I wonder why a drink should ever cost more than $ 6 nowadays. 2. Friendly people behind the counter: Check. 3. I-feel-ready-to-work-but-will-watch-hours-of-Youtube ambience: There are a good number of tables around but for some reason I didn’t feel that great about Youtubing. 4. Outlets, the all-important outlets: Check. 5. Table real estate: A good amount, maybe 10 – 15 tables? 6. Clean bathroom: Check. 7. Youtube-ready wifi: Check. A nice Starbucks. Never got too crowded or busy.

Love this place! Everyone that works at this one is really nice. The wait times can get alittle long when they get swamped, but they usually recover quickly.

I come here all the time because there are really no locations to get coffee near this area. They sometimes don’t carry the sandwiches I usually get and the one time that I wanted a bagel, the oven was broken. I had to toast it at work, which didn’t toast as well or as good. The baristas are straight to the point. I don’t think anyone of them has even tried to get to know me even though I’ve been coming here for over a year. Oh well, I simply come for what I need and they are there to serve me what I need. Simple transaction.

A couple of the baristas are somewhat friendly; there’s also a guy that has been downright rude on several occasions. Not a huge deal, as I usually encounter the friendlier workers. The bigger problem though, is they can’t ever get an order right on the first try. I’m not talking crazy orders changing several ingredients, even just simple things such as ‘yes, whipped cream’ get screwed up on a regular basis. Or iced black coffee, no sweeteners, gets routinely messed up. We go to this Starbucks quite frequently at work, and we are constantly sending stuff back. Do companies not care any more about customer service or doing things right the first time? We are going to start going to the other Starbucks down the road, hopefully they can properly pour coffees so we don’t have to go back every single time.

This morning, after dropping my daughter off to school, I stopped by the Starbucks located on 3045 N Greenview Ave for a latte. Before me, there was a lady paying for her order. Before she finished, another customer entered and one of the baristas, a guy with dark, profuse and wavy hair, and brown eyes, ignored me and took the man’s order. I did not say anything because I thought it was not important and waited until the girl on the cash register finished with her first customer. After that, I approached her to order and the other employee basically made a gesture to me to move away because he had to give the cup of coffee to the other customer(although there was plenty of room to do that). The girl on the register smiled embarrassed and asked me what I would like to have, but then I was perplexed about his behavior, so I left, letting him know that I was first. I do not think this is an appropriate service for a Starbuck’s employee. I am a loyal client that always tips, and there was nothing that justified the treatment I received. Unfortunately I was so upset that I left without writing his name down. I hope his supervisor can check his employees’ schedule and sort everything out because bad manners and disdain for a customer has a limit.

I come here at least 5 times a week because I work across the street. Everyone there is always nice and friendly and some even remember my order. I’ve had a couple times where my drink just didn’t come out the right way and they were great about remaking it for me.

You would think that with Starbucks being a huge corporation, they would train or hire staff who excel in skill or ATLEAST customer service. Nope. Well, no. That is not fair. Normally at Starbucks, I have a great experience. Until today. It was my first time at this Starbucks and when I walked in there was one gentleman who ordered a drink and was paying for it. I stood behind him. As the gentleman was gathering himself to leave the register, a man went a stood to his left(in front of the other register.) I was a little confused… «Is he trying to cut in line?» But thought, «No, the barista definitely saw me and knows I’m next.» I proceeded to take a step towards the register, only to have the barista but his hand up to me and say, «Line forms this way.» as he pointed to the man to my left. I honestly thought he was joking. I told him I have never been here before and there was no one else in line. I mean… how the hell am I supposed to know which way you want your lines to go? There is no sign or rope or anything that would indicate that the line obviously goes there… ESPECIALLYWHENTHEREISNOLINE. I immediately got red and felt extremely uncomfortable as the barista and man to my left were laughing. The barista even apologized to the man since he was going to take my order first. I was already infuriated and humiliated… and then… when my Spinach Feta wrap was ready… he held it with two fingers super far away from his body(As if he was disgusted to be holding my food) while he walked it over to the«pick-up counter.» He then mumbled, «Spinach feta wrap» as he THREW my sandwich, rolled his eyes, and walked away. I will never ever again in my life come to this starbucks. I rather walk a mile in the blizzard to the next one that meets the company’s standards. I wish I got his name so I could call corporate. Hands down the worst Starbucks experience I have ever had. And I’ve been to Starbucks all over the world. I felt more welcomed by barista’s who barely spoke a word of English.

This Starbucks is rated a 2 and is my second to least favorite Starbucks in Chicago. There are no comfy chairs. I only go to this Starbucks between the hours of 6:20 am and 6:40 am so take this review with a grain of salt. There is one very kind barista who takes her job very seriously and works on only one drink at a time perfecting the mix, the toppings and even quantity of ice. I appreciate you, girl, but I am trying to get to work and through no fault of your own I am running late but then you stir my mocha for 30 seconds and I’m staring longingly at my drink being so slowly made!!! The other baristas don’t give a crap but are equally slow to turn around from stocking crap up when any one comes to the register to order.

Front entrance was flooded after another round of snow, and it didn’t look like anyone was concerned. Both baristas couldn’t be bothered to make eye contact, smile, or generally acknowledge customers. Unless you count them making us feel like burdens. Might seem like petty complaints, but I find great service at the other locations so I just thought it was standard.

It’s weird I went in two days in a row and yet barely had pastries, it was so strange. I am addicted to the salted caramel mocha. My biggest gripe, THEYCLOSEAT8! THESTAFFISALWAYSFRIENDLY.

Most unfriendly and rude barista I’ve EVER seen at a Starbucks. I should have asked for a name. My order was a departure from the«norm», but I clearly asked for a Refresher ½ Lime, ½ berry, no water, no lime slice. I even said I wanted the berries. The barista gets the order and mumbles something like, «lovely». Then, Mr. Lovely Barista added a lime slice and no berries. I was kind, told him, and said he could just add the berries. He rolls his eyes, doesn’t apologize, and said, «I thought you wanted no berries.» He opens it up, throws some berries on top, and gives it a few shakes before handing it back to me, without a word. No smiles. No apology. Just attitude.

This is as good as any other Starbucks, I believe. I stopped in before a meeting down the street. The service was friendly and efficient. There were even some open seats in the lounging area during a busy noon-ish hour.

The staff are exceptionally wonderful: quite expedient and devoted to customer service. Low stars though for the veggie breakfast sandwich that exists without veggies. Seriously, none. It’s a closeted egg-cheese-roll sandwich; a hot, mushy, salty tidbit weighing in at more than three bucks. With a combination of blasting a/c and painfully uncomfortable chairs, all signs point towards«don’t stay long!» They don’t make decaf after 12 pm.

I am a big fan. Gold card member and all of that. My «home» Starbucks and those in the area are vibrant places of loveliness, dispensing caffeine and good camaraderie without fail, even on busy days. I have been coming to this location for about 6 months, usually in the early evening, and hang out before my standing 7p appointment. It’s been recently redecorated and therefore made much more functional for computer types(previously I think there were four outlets for the entire area). But the one thing that is a stick in the mud is the staff. And it doesn’t matter who’s here(because there is some rotation). It seems like everyone’s miserable. The only other locations I’ve felt that way is literally up the street(3300 N Lincoln area). So maybe it’s a Lincoln Ave funk or something. Otherwise, everything’s great. There is usually a shortage of sweets toward the end of the day, but now with the new décor and new outlets there’s no lack of places to sit and watch the«wildlife» outside.

I hate that I’ve gotten in the habit of reviewing Starbucks, but some of them are really bad. This one, however, is GREAT! Every time I’ve been in the baristas have been friendly, and my drink has been made perfectly… which usually doesn’t happen because my drink is super annoying! Finally a Sbux in the city that is consistently amazing!

I agree with Bethany L. that it feels really dumb to review Starbucks. But alas, it is one of the places I frequent in the neighborhood, so I feel like I must! Although I love my decaf sugar-free vanilla soy lattes, this Starbucks is not my favorite. It is always cold and they are much slower making drinks than other locations.
