Service was horrible, the waitress came out once for us to order our appetizer then came back 15 mins later so we didn’t even order. The Mac and cheese balls were great. Wish they had good service so we could of ordered dinner.

Glad we ended up coming here. Everyone was so friendly, both fellow patrons and workers alike. We came for dinner and to watch some football and I’d say this is the perfect place for that. Ordered a bucket of beers for the two of us to share and it was perfect! Only $ 15 for the bucket, what a steal. For food I ordered the po boy sandwich and devoured it. Really good. Met some cool people and got to hangout and get drunk while watching the steelers beat the bengals I seriously was in my happy place here. Great spot.

Good food, good service. This is a sports bar so know that coming in. Its bi-level, multiple tvs with loud music. Daily specials rotate, beer selection rotates. Waitstaff is attentive, food is a step up from regular bar food. Selection isn’t too wide, but offers standard burgers, sandwiches and apps. Stop in and have a beer! For LSU alums, this is your spot for all Tigers sports!

Standard Bar & Grill was, yes, standard. It’s a decent stop during a bar crawl for food and drinks, and the $ 20 burger and beer is a good deal. What I liked most is the patio area, which isn’t very big, but the doors/windows open to the patio for that«look at me! I’m sitting outside!» feeling. The atmosphere is definitely Wrigleyville-esque, but not as sports centric. There was a DJ playing on a Friday night, and it wasn’t too loud. Even after spending all day in the sun and drinking, we could still hold a conversation, although perhaps not a meaningful one. Mac & cheese bites, pretzels, grilled cheese, burgers, the menu features typical bar food staples. I added avocado and bacon to my grilled cheese, which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I tried a pear cocktail made with St. Germain, which I love, but I didn’t particularly like this drink. There was a lot of ice in the glass, and it just wasn’t good. Standard is not a fancy mixology bar, but there is a drink menu. Stick to basic cocktails or beer.

First time at this spot, I enjoyed the mimosa and jumbo chicken wings. Spicy popcorn shrimp was really great as well.

I don’t want to speak ill of a bar that does Crawfish Boils and shows LSU games… but I don’t go if one of the other thing is not happening. Bar staff is hit or miss and the miss is usually the younger staff. Management is(more than) competent but carries and covers for the less competent of the team.

I have been to this bar a handful of times, must say every time I have been pretty impressed. The parking availability isn’t ideal, but to me that wasn’t all that important, All staff is tentative, accommodating and polite. Every drink I received was made exactly how I wanted, and the bartender even made it attempt to serve me a drink without request, which is very impressive to me and the food is absolutely delish!!! Not to mention, my friend just got engaged there 2 Saturday’s ago. Really Really love this place and will definitely be back for more!

So I had kind words and high hopes upon entry. I really wish I could rate this place a zero. I was 1⁄5 customers maybe in the entire place. I ordered an omelette. After a 25 min wait I decided to leave since customers who arrived after me were being served whole burgers with all the fixings. My pitiful waitress(Ann) tried to bring me a mimosa after telling me she had yelled at the kitchen but the damage had already been done. Felt like I was in a bad episode of Hell’s Kitchen.

I love this bar. They have a very fun trivia night that displays pictures you take, with the hashtag of the night, on its TVs. The food and drinks are inexpensive and delicious. I recommend getting buckets of beer if you’re with a group. All the servers, bartenders and managers are really cool.

Typical Chicago sports bar. Lots of TVs. Relatively large seating area. Lots of deals for drinks(which brings in the crowd that is looking for cheap booze). Service was a bit slow. If you are walking by, not a terrible place to grab a drink, but definitely not a joint to go out of your way for.

I used to frequent Standard for their burger special. For the price on burger night, they are pretty good. And then, we had a really awful experience and I haven’t made it back. Went on a Sunday around noon with my in laws, and our food took forever. It was absolutely crazy… like over an hour, and there weren’t other parties in there. The waitress apologized without us prompting an apology, and offered to make up for it with free shots. Um, it was noon on a Sunday and we had already mentioned our in laws were driving back home. How would they possibly be interested in shots? Finally, food comes out and my mother-in-law’s salad was brought as a wrap. The waitress realized it was wrong and took it back. When she brought it back out, the wrap had just been dumped out to make a salad, but because of the heat of the chicken, it was soggy and gross. This used to be my favorite go to. It’s still a really cool sports bar with a good burger deal and a pretty nice southern style brunch. Plus, we love the Bloody Mary bar on the weekends. Too bad the awful experience soured us.

For a Sunday brunch spot, I like this place a lot! $ 5 build-your-own mimosas, and pretty awesome and affordable food choices. They also sponsor sports leagues, and give you 20% on top, which makes the experience even that much better!

I originally planned to go to the Whisky fry place down the street. The whiskey place did not open on time so I went to standard. I believe the bartender/servers name was Dan. He was amazing. Great service. Food was great as well. You have to try their quesadillas and fish tacos. Thanks for great service today!

Hello Unilocal,Standard is fab for unlimited drinks and beers slash mimosas. Brunch is better than you think and has some good sauces(blessing) but don’t get shrimp eggs Benedict if you want lots of shrimp. BUT $ 25 for food and unlimited mimosas, bloodys and miller lite! Our waitress was lovely and did a perf job with so many guests. Ask for hawk and say Kathy says hi.

It was average but who says average is bad? Loved the wait staff, however, our waitress spilled a pitcher of mimosas on me. Ordered the breakfast burrito(weekend splurge)… Good but not great. Altogether, had a great time with my friends. Best part was the seating area. I’ll come back for sure… Ten minute walk from my house.

The Standard is pretty standard. I can’t lie, the food ain’t great. BUT. I love how big, open, and casual it is. The wait staff are super nice and friendly. And they have Tuesday night trivia. Who doesn’t love Tuesday night trivia?! My one critique of trivia is that… is it possible to get the answers after each round? It’s always hard to sit there and wait 3 rounds just to find out if my answer from round 1 was correct – because we’re all thinking in our heads… «WHATARETHECOUNTRIESTHATBORDERGHANA?!» Yup. Trivia nerds unite. But overall, decent enough food, great space, and fun trivia. Who can complain?

Great atmosphere here for the Cubs wildcard playoff game last night. We didn’t expect it to be as packed as it was at 6:30, just a half hour before the game started, but our group of 6 had to sit out on the patio. There were a few TVs out there and some heaters but we were a little chilly. We ordered about 4 Coors light buckets at $ 15 apiece… Not a bad deal but on par with some of the other nearby bars. Everybody seemed to love their food. Pretty standard sports bar fare… Hence the name? Service was decent. Wish we could have been inside but we’ll just have to come earlier for the next games!

This is strictly a bar review. I only went out for a going away party and I didn’t order any food. Anyway, I came here on a Saturday night a little before midnight and it was still decently full. Enough where you weren’t shoulder to shoulder and still could find a table if you chose to. The group I was with pretty much took over the upstairs bar and even though it wasn’t super full upstairs, they still had 2 bartenders there which was awesome, considering they had wristbands going. No waiting times pretty much. I hate places that only have 1 bartender during a bar package. My Jack and coke had a pretty good amount of Jack in it too. Met the manager and he was super nice. Gave the whole group a shot at the end of the night(he either knew someone in the group or was just very generous). Everyone from the bartenders to the doorman was nice too. I talked to the doorman a little, his name was Vince, and he was just super friendly. Come a little earlier though, parking was a little hard to find on busy Milwaukee

The open window leading out to the sidewalk was inviting enough for me to stop in here for a drink and a bite to eat. I planned on ordering to go but eh, why not, I took a seat at the bar and stayed a while. The lady at the bar was pleasant enough but she wasn’t good per se. I asked for her opinion/preference between the turkey chili nachos and the grilled chicken melt. This wasn’t a brain teaser but it was as if nobody had ever asked her anything about anything before. Her response was literally that the melt came with a side, so if you wanted a side I should go with that. Huh? What does that have to do with how good it tastes? Now if she had said she didn’t know because she’s a vegetarian and hadn’t eaten either of those two options off of the menu I would have understood. But after asking her again she had, had both. She was just… clueless I guess. Moving on, I had the turkey chili nachos. I’m not even a nachos person like that but they were GOOD. The plate was enormous and I took the leftovers home with me just out of principal but who really wants to eat soggy, day-old nachos? I also had a Stella on draft which tasted a bit flat, but it was a steamy hot day so I enjoyed how cold it was. Anyway, I had my go-to sports bar in my last neighborhood… I can’t say that this place is it, but I’d give it another go.

The Standard is a stone’s throw from my place, and the awesome service and drink prices keep me coming back. It’s a great venue to watch the game with a few brewskis. The energy there is contagious during playoff season. You can’t help but stop and watch(like the cops outside). Unfortunately, I would have to say the food is hit or miss. Their veggie burger leaves something to be desired but I’d gladly go back for their Sardou eggs Benedict. On Thursdays, they have 2 for 1 apps and I highly recommend you try that out. Personally, I’ve never had anything from their starters menu that’s been a disappointment. As an added plus, the staff opens up their entire front end of the bar to the sidewalk for those precious and few nice days.
