St. Michael’s Counseling Center

i think this is the best clinic in chicago. Greg is amazing, the nurse is the nicest lady around and the front desk lady is so nice and welcoming. the only problem i have with this clinic is the owner, George. He is very crabby, only cares about money, is insensitive to peoples special needs, talks to the clients disrespectfully and speaks to you about your bill in front of other clients loudly at the front counter instead of speaking to you in private. he makes you feel as if you are scum and gives the impression if you keep your bill down to zero then all is good but god forbid your a little late on your payment. you are told you can go talk to George, but after doing so, the only answer you get is that if you don’t pay your bill you will be put on detox. NO EXCEPTIONS unless of course you are one of his favorites! the place is extra clean, and there is never a line, NEVER! 99% of the time you walk in, drink, and walk right out. Intake is a breeze. after filling out a few papers, paying the fee and your first week payment you are medicated very quick unlike other clinics. i have been to a few other clinics in Chicago, and i would have to say that this is the best one you can go to. i am happy i decided to come here. it is also a great area so you dont have to worry about getting robbed or dealing with gang bangers cuz the neighborhood is safe. so if you are looking for a methadone clinic i would say this is the one! As long as you keep up with your payments, you will have no problems.

This clinic is close to home and for the most part is pretty clean (considering some places that ive seen) Its a pretty small place but even if theres 5 people ahead of you your still in an out which is just how i like it. The only down side really is running in to people in there from your past that u dnt care to see but i guess that happens anywhere u go. So all in all if your looking for a clinic this is your best bet.
