Great local place to donate your used goods. They are open during the day and will give you a receipt for tax purposes. They do large pick ups of furniture and such. Donate!

This thrift store is located on S. Western Ave., in between Evergreen Park and the Beverly neighborhoods.
I believe they have customer parking, for dropping off donations and for shopping convenience. I did see some patrons park on Western for free street parking.
The workers were very friendly, greeting you loudly and energetically as we walked in. The entire store was clean, organizationally impeccable, but that was all I could say on the positive note.
Their prices were slightly higher for a thrift-​store standard, yet the pricing wasn’t awful. A woman’s blouse was $ 4.00 to $ 5.00 in average; a blazer could run in between $ 6.00 to $ 10.00.
The conditions of their merchandize was, for the most part, really excellent. The furniture, sofas, and coffee tables were nearly brand new. The workers were more than happy to answer any question you might have.
It was a bummer because there wasn’t a single vinyl or an interesting record. Often times thrifting is a matter of sacrifice. In other words, a thrift store like the St. Vincent de Paul could be a nice, relaxing place to shop for bargains, yet I would rather fight with other strangers at a mega, much dirtier Village Discount Outlet for more selections on all categories.

I’ve been coming to this place for many years and I’ve always felt that that the prices were too much for a thrift store. I will say that it’s one of the most organized thrift stores I’ve been to which is why I like to drop in. They used to have an area in the back dedicated to large furniture but that is no more. All of the furniture will be in the front now. I know they used to have one of those punch card rewards programs. I always forget mine so I don’t know if they still do. Overall, it’s okay.

There are some terrific finds here if you have patience, pop in more than once and are willing to look around before jumping to the conclusion that there’s nothing here but a pile of junk. Sure, part of ones success has to do with luck. There are those ho hum days of finding nothing and then, out of the blue, your purchases are the equivalent of a gold mine for a few dollars. Thrifting is an art in and of itself. Happen to pop by here when someone with your tastes, style and size recently donates stuff in hopefully huge multiples; you’re likely to score just as many items as your mirror image left off! It’s common for a buyer of a size 8 $ 350 shoe to be miserably uncomfortable in the same footwear that feels like walking on air for you.
What’s more is you’ll be recycling, getting a huge bargain in the form of «new» stuff, all while helping to keep those less fortunate in their homes and with food on their table.

Not a lot to say… I’ve been to MANY thrift stores in my life and this one is… average.
They have a lot of stuff, place is a bit dirty as one reviewer noted. But it’s not the worst. It is JUST a thrift store.
I did find some work pants there (I have a job with certain specifications for clothing and such pants can cost $ 80 so it was nice to get them for what $ 3 or something?). Sure they needed a bit of tailoring and they don’t fit quite right but man, lotta money saved… anyhow…
What else? They’re really pretty much just your average thrift store!

This is a cute little thrift store. It’s nicely organized, though it seemed dirty, maybe because it was rainy the day we went. They have a ton of housewares and brick a brack items in the front and along the wall, and you go to the back of the store and turn the corner, and see way more in the back of the store! They also have a HUGE book selection. I found the hardcover books to be a bit pricey for a thrift store, but the paperbacks were dirty cheap.
Clothes — I didn’t see many brand name items, everything I looked at that was half way decent ended up having tears or stains, so I didn’t pick up any clothes here. They had some great furniture pieces. I found a vintage looking dresser but was a little too much $$.
The guy at the register was super nice, he was a young handsome black man who told us he was writing a couple of books. One was a romance novel and as he was describing the main character, we realized it was him, awwwww.
Very easy to get to, there was little traffic in the area on a Saturday late afternoon. There is a parking lot and it seemed street parking was very easy.
Definitely worth a visit if live closeby or are just passing by!

Unimpressed with this store. Not much clothing for men, and nothing else that interested me. I’ve visited the store several times and don’t see a reason to go back. Also, there is construction across the street and driving in the area is a nightmare.
