This place is great I had a full snapper was shown the fish before it was cooked nice clean great staff class act clean restrooms T.V. etc. The snapper was fried to perfection with the frys and salad OUTSTANDING!!! :-)

I placed an order. The lady said, ok, your order will be ready. Went in, they were out of the fish I ordered over the phone. Now, I’m saying to myself: «Why in the hell didn’t they tell me that over the phone!!!»”
I didn’t want to waste my time getting/arguing with a manager. I really want to support Snappers Seafood & Chicken on Western, but I hope that they get it together soon.
I am also giving it a 2 stars because the times I came at 11:30, they were not open.

Wow all the great reviews had to try the place
Well the food was not good at all. first i had the snapper chicken combo one thing i could tell instantly this was not real snapper the fish was tough from being over cooked, i also had the crab cake this was very dark color inside and out and very dry, the chicken was not good at all
Fish and chicken was so bland i had to get seasoning for it at home because it seems that they don’t believe in flavoring and seasoning.
But worst of all i ordered seafood rice, wow! Really they gave me rice that was not done hard and crunchy as hell i will never step foot there again.

Really, really good! I had the fried shrimp dinner. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I went through the drive thru and it took a bit of time but I didn’t mind because the quality of the food was so good and it obviously took longer because it was prepared fresh to order.

The food quallity is very poor. I ordered catfish and got whiting… more than once. The wings r the size of baby chickens.

Let me start by saying I don’t really enjoy seafood. I’ve even been to New Orleans and was unimpressed with the seafood dishes I had there. Snappers completely changed my perspective on seafood.
I’ve had the opportunity to try a few different dishes here, but my three favorites have been the fried conch fritters, the conch platter (#7) and conch and shrimp platter (#22).
The shrimp and conch are battered in the most delicious breading. It’s crispy on the outside but very soft and flavorful on the inside. The seafood tastes so fresh that sometimes I forget I’m in the Midwest.
The fries are so crispy and soft as well, but they are never greasy. The pairings all go very well together.
Additionally the staff and employees are extremely helpful and always have a smile on their face. There are a few combos o haven’t tried to I’m really looking forward to falling in love with seafood again.
This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in the city.

Ordered a small gizzard dinner today for lunch, took a few minutes not 25 like all the other places. They were fresh and pretty darn good. Not to chewy like they tend to be. I’ll return to try other stuff in the future

Food was fresh, it tasted great I enjoyed my meal from snappers and the customer service level was great. Much different from a sharks or a jj fish and snappers has so much more to offer on there menu … Would definitely recommend this place and come back again and again… They get a 20 out of 10 !!!

Nothing special… I expected it to be better than the neighborhood sharks and jj fish, but that wasn’t the case. Shrimp tasted ok, but not better than JJ fish shrimp or Dicoloes on 111^th. Chicken ok, the Fries were not good. Won’t go back, but worth the try.
