Smashburger is an excellent example of fast food done right. You can taste the quality of their food, regardless of what you order. The staff at this particular location is also friendly and generous. They provided me with a fountain drink free of charge for no specific reason, but I wasn’t complaining. The only downside is that it can be a little pricey. A chicken Smashburger without a drink or fries was over $ 6.00. Worth it, if you value taste over price, though!

Smashburger is one of my all time favorite burgers! I’m a fan of a simple and classic burger. I don’t want my burger to fall apart when I pick it up. I don’t want to have to pull a jaw muscle just to take a bite of a towering monstrosity. No, I want a simple, classic, all American burger and this burger fits that bill! The burger itself is smashed on the grill while cooking which makes it crispy and delicious yet juicy all at once. The toppings can vary from your classic cheeseburger to a mushroom burger to a guacamole burger. The sides range from fries to sweet potato fries to salads. They also have shakes. This meal will cost you less than $ 10 but will leave you wanting to comeback again soon. Highly recommended!

I had a delicious burger! The milk shakes are fantastic! I was not a fan of the Rosemary fries but my friend loved them. My daughter gobbled up her hot dog. My friend enjoyed her chicken sandwich. We will definitely go back often!

Clean. Awesome burger menu. Friendly. Salted Caramel shakes. Easy parking off Clyborn. What is not to like? Of all the burger places that have been opening, this one is really good. Takes a bit of time. The fries are skinny… but this meal will not make me skinny!

Talking about fast food, for me every single one of them rendered a very bad services so every time i step in to one, I’m always thinking that i’m just here for a cheap meal, i’m already expecting a bad and slow service, rude staffs and mediocre food taste but this one change everything, somehow the food taste is not that excellent, but they have the most excellent service, very fast and accommodating, the staff are very friendly in fact they greeted me as i enter the store and the lady who is taking my order is very patient in answering my quires. This place is one of a kind. I would love to come back soon.

One of the Best burgers in Chi town. It can be hard for a single mom without kids that happens to be a male to find a great burger in chicago but the search is over. I would gladly pay with my first born if i had one and they happend to accept that as payment. If youve read this far. go there. eat a burger. and realize what you have missing.

Good thin flat top burger. I always do the«build your own»…lots of choices for bun, cheese, etc. love the seasoned fries. Milkshakes ok. Service very nice.

Service is excellent. But the flavor of the burger itself reminded me of McDonalds, especially if you add ketchup and mustard which I wholeheartedly don’t recommend if you order one of there special burgers.

Have tried this place a few times and am kind of meh. The burgers themselves are OK. The fries are shoestrings that taste like they were frozen… meh. We had a counter person waiting on us on our last visit(this week) who seemed a little overly anxious and wound up. Before we even were inside and had a chance to look at the menu, she asked us BAMBAMBAM approximately 9,563,876 questions. Then she didn’t seem to actually listen to ANY of our replies, so we had to repeat everything. I was there for a burger. A SmashBurger, in fact. I repeated that a few times. Not a SmashChicken? No, indeed, a BURGER. I made that as clear as I could possibly make it, minus a Sharpie marker and a sign, or an interpretive puppet show. Guess what was delivered to my table?(Spoiler alert: it wasn’t a burger.) OK burgers, meh fries, bad service, and… well, «it’s less crowded than Five Guys» may not be a solid reason to recommend a place, y’know.

I know I might get flak for saying my favorite burgers come from a chain, but damn these are good! My go-to here is the avocado club, which is great with either the burger or chicken. Everything about this burger is amazing, from the crispy bacon to the avocado to the whole wheat bun(which makes this healthy, right?). Even though this closest location is a 40-minute drive from where I live, it’s definitely worth coming here for the burgers. And don’t forget the fries!

I went to five guys. The ppl there didn’t greet me or offer any service. Like I had to ask to put an order in. Then I went to panera. The same kind of set up with the same lackadaisical employees. Then I went to smash burger. Right away I was told I would be attended to in a second. The guy at the counter made great recommendations Food was good. The price was right for quality ingredients and meat U want cheaper go eat the McDonald’s crap they serve. For a few extra bucks who cares. I thought the service was top notch. It’s what I expect when I walk into a place. I had the original smash burger and onion rings with a butter finger shake. I got fed and I didn’t have to beg for service. Nvm panera and 5 that same area. This place deserves their business.

They can let you have a burger bun on a salad, omg their service and food is amazing, and if you order a milkshake you get the leftover cup with it! But again the service everybody is soooo incredibly nice(to each other) and to us customers, this is my new favorite burger spot

Wasn’t worth it for the premium price for fast food burgers and fries. The burger meat was surprisingly bland and the slice of cheese was obviously just one of those Kraft square things wrapped in cellophane. The worst part was the fries. Shoestring?!? Come on now, what are we 5 year olds? Epic Burger is way way better. Hell, give me a Five Guys over this. And sorry, no one will be ordering dinner for two for $ 15. That’s a total joke. A classic burger(add bacon), fries and drink(i.e. a meal for one) came to almost $ 14.

I randomly decided to come to smashburger and I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I went to smashburger once, years ago(this one was in Michigan) and I was not too please with the service I received, the food, the affordability, or the overall hype of the restaurant. I ordered a milkshake and the server even brought me the extra from my milkshake, so I could have that too. I ordered the barbecue, bacon cheeseburger and was definitely happy with my choice. For fries, the burger, and milkshake I paid roughly $ 15 which is a lot for a quick sit down place — but I have come a little ways since my cheap high school and college days ha, so it was somewhat reasonable when taking into account everything. I would definitely recommend it!

Stopped in today for lunch since it is by my work. Don’t be fooled by the bedding experts sign next door. They have no affiliation and don’t even make food. The signs just happened to be very similar. I got the big bacon cheese burger with their specialty smash fries since they are the same price as regular fries, so why not. My burger took a little longer than usual to come out of the kitchen but the manager was very nice and friendly. He explained the problem to me and even gave me a coupon for a free burger the next time I come back, which I definitely will. For a quick service restaurant they also make a pretty good shake. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and they serve it in a classic milkshake glass and even give you the metal can with all the leftover ice cream so you’re really get a shake and a half.

Went out for lunch with my mother on her recommendation. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg, smash sauce, grilled mushrooms, as well as the traditional lettuce ketchup mayo etc. I thought the burger was well flavored and balanced, with their special sauce adding some extra flavors that the other ingredients couldn’t contribute. The yolk of the fried egg was broken and a little more cooked than i would have preferred(i usually prefer them sunny side up). Overall I felt the burger was better than average but not mind blowingly amazing. I got their special smash fries(cooked in rosemary oil) on my mothers recommendation but retrospectively would have preferred the regular fries. The fries themselves were fresh, golden in color, and lightly salted(I felt really good quality I just didn’t like the oil seasoning). My mother got a vanilla milkshake which was creamy and flavorful, achieving a good balance between liquidy and chunky. This place mostly gets 4 stars because I thought the service was supererogatory for a fast food type of burger place. Our server was really friendly and helpful, checking in with us to make sure everything was ok and offering to clean our dishes/plates afterwards. OVERALL: exceptional service at a fast food burger joint with above average food that is reasonably priced.

I tried Smashburger once a long time ago and did not enjoy it. It was in the suburbs, I forget which one. BF and I decided to give it another try since this location opened up close-by and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Goes to show you that the suburbs are, once again, kinda lame. Just kidding, suburban dwellers. Because of the exorbitant prices of avocados right now, I try to get my fix of avocados where the prices are set so I feel like I’m getting a great deal. Like Chipotle’s guacamole. When I saw«Avocado Ranch Club» on the Smashburger menu, my choice was made. At the $ 5.99 pricepoint, I was slightly concerned it would be a lame faux-vocado* spread, but it was freshly sliced avocado pieces, win! If you enjoy griddle burgers(i.e. Steak and Shake, Meatheads, etc), this place is for you. The patties are thin and get a nice crisp along the edges. Personally, I though regular/single patty satisfied my burger/bun ratio requirements, and upgrading to the large/double would have made it difficult to eat. But to each their own. I also enjoyed the thinly cut rosemary olive oil fries, and the thinly cut onion rings. And like other reviewers stated, they’re super friendly here. Yay customer service! *Note to self, trademark this term.
