Staff at pool is awesome, the facilities need some serious work. I swim in morning and the showers are often cold. Pool has lots of chips and holes, paint is peeling everywhere. The woman’s shower has one working shower. Many of the lockers are broken and can’t be used. Locker room is cold. The pool and woman’s locker room need a overhaul-badly. Parking in morning is a nightmare due to parking restrictions and the school.

Not at all what I expected when we decided to check it out after ReptileFest. It was fairly clean, the benches were comfy enough to hang out on while the munchkin played. The playground equipment looked like it was maintained well or at least BUILT well, didn’t notice any major wear n tear on any of it. I didn’t know that the building was also part of Sheridan Park, went in to use the men’s room. The place was clean and staffed too. Vending machines are on the first floor as well as the stairs to the men and womens locker rooms. Women get a bonus — they have a bathroom in the main floor, us men gotta go downstairs and walk through a labyrinthine maze to find ours. The building also houses a full gym and boxing ring, basketball court and swimming pool. All on separate floors of course. The park has Tennis /Field Hockey courts as well as a baseball/softball field. I can’t say much about that except that they looked pretty well kempt and maintained like the rest of the amenities provided. I’d definitely go back and recommend it.

One of our favorite playgrounds in Chicago. The parking is really easy — either meters or you can park near the Chase Bank(if it’s a week-end). Also there is a nice coffeehouse right near it on Taylor St. and my favorite Yogen Fruz on the other side of the street.

Also called«Sheridan Park» & boundaries are Aberdeen & May/Polk & Taylor Looks brand new! Would love to be standing at home plate, swinging at one low and outside and watching it sail off to the Sears(ahem, Wilis) Tower. HOMERUN! Very cool faux surface with little rubbery bits that stick to your drawers if the ground is at all damp.(It is!) No more grass stains, rubber butt!
