I came back after 5yrs and still have great service. Julio, the hairstylist that took care of me was so sweet and knew what I wanted. I will definitely come back. I have a new hair stylist, again.

Contemplating these ‘salons style’ places, i was pretty glad to get my trim from a female in here who was friendly. Very hard to find a stylist who puts their artistic expertise based on face structure vs. a cut. The price was right. Since my visit was for a trim, i couldn’t provide an accurate review for a ‘haircut’. The owner was not friendly and did not acknowledge me; the one and only client… minus two

Have been coming here for a while now. Recently brought my 15 year old daughter for her first haircut in probably 3– 4 years and Martha worked her magic!

I asked for Gladys based on the reviews I read. Got there for my appointment got a hairstylist that was a lil short Hispanic man“that wasn’t gay” wtf? Going out for my b day he made me look like curly sue!!! Hair is hard as a Rock! N charged me $ 45! Never going back!

I like that they take debit and that its usually easy to get a hair cut but I am disappointed to be put on the back burner while the barber and the other 3 ladies that cut hair rather have their conversation and tell me to wait a 10 minutes as they converse. Not professional and this is not how you keep customers coming back.

I love this place, they do a great job every Time. They never make one mistake I come out walking out with a bouncy new Look and feel…

Got my hair cut from Eliza (Doctor Fade) r for 7 years from several different locations, we’ had become friends over the years but he is very moody and very inconsistent with his hair cuts. He does not like cutting hair any more and it shows.
He was fighting with the owner one day and I guess he couldn’t use their credit debit machine anymore. but when I called for an appt he didnt tell me that until the time came to pay. It wasnt a problem bc I said I’d be back to pay later. Me thinking this is not a problem bc weve been down this road before, however I guess I was wrong. One of my friends who still gets his haircuts from him told him to tell me to keep my money and to not go there again. You would think after 7 years he could tell me this himself. I’m over it and I was over his hit or miss haircuts anyway.

I absolutely love this hair studio/​barbershop. Eliezer better known as Doctor Fade is the best barber around the many salons around this area. They have cut my hair for the past 5 years and not once have I not been happy with their work. Every time I go here, I come out too fresh and ready for business :)
And also from what I can see, the hair service for the women is no different. Gladys is the best hair stylist there is for women. I have taken my girlfriend here many times and she comes out looking like a Hollywood star ready for a première. Her hair comes out just beautiful every time Gladys does it. It is amazing the work she performs. I have seen many women come out so happy with the work done.
Serrano’s hair studio prices are also well worth the service. Not only that but they have a facebook site, their own website, a listing on google and they offer special discounts on all of those websites. So if you savvy enough on the internet, you will find a deal online for this hair salon.
I would recommend this salon over any salon around. Before this salon, I got my hair cut in all the different salons around the area but when I found this one, I stayed with it because of their consistency with the hair service. Really, the quality of hair service is beyond any of the ones around. Amazing work. Go there and you would see for yourself.

ABsolutely a staple for hair in Chicago’s Midway area. Serrano’s does it all. The Ultimate Full Service Salon for Men and Women. From haircuts to coloring, they do it all. Updos for special occasions are available upon request, I should know since my nieces Cotillion was done a few years ago, they did her make up as well as her hair. Absolutely economical and affordable for everyone’s budget, and they take credit cards!
Glady’s (the owner) also specializes in LA BRASILIANA treatments for the hair. Although this treatment is done in Brazil, she has taken Chicago hair to another level with this. Its a Keratin treatment that long hair loves, so my friends tell me. It puts back what nature takes out and your hair come out super soft with only 1 treatment.
I absolutely love this salon and she is always available. Check them out, you will love it.
