Sears Optical

Doctor is very kind and it was a pleasant visit with him. He briefly explains what is going on with your vision and listens to what you say.
The reason this location will not receive 5 stars is because of the office receptionists… the woman I encountered didn’t greet me right away when she had the opportunity even though she knew I was standing there. I was patient anyway. She could use some help with her attitude.
The young man there could use some maturation. When I realized I forgot to get the doctor to fill out my daughter’s school exam I asked about it and when I walked away and looked back I caught him laughing at me and the woman talking about me too.
Gave doctor my form and had a crying 4 year old and briefly mentioned to the receptionists that I didn’t know that having lack of experience with the process meant I was to be laughed at, the woman played dumb but the guy immediately got a uh oh face and shut up for the remainder of my time there avoided eye contact with me.
Class act… I’m so sorry Dr. Miklos Balogh, you were awesome, I hope that you get a more deserving staff. I probably won’t be back until then…

Stopped by Sears today to buy appliances for a project. Waited out side 10 min they opened late. Waited 15 Min for the sales associate in the appliance deportment had 2 associate call for him. When he finally came out of the backroom were he was hiding he started helping another customer who had just walked up.
Back to ABT for this customer just wish they had a store closer than Glenview, but I guess I could have driven there in the half an hour I wasted waiting around at Sears

Sears Optical did a great job for what I needed. I first visited them last summer when I needed new goggles. I scheduled an eye exam on Halloween last year, and I was running late because I started drinking at work a bit early. They actually waited for me and were very courteous and understanding. The eye doctor was cool, and he did a great job with the exam.
Clem is either the manager or one of the main assistance to the doctor… and this fella is A+! He called me several times to update me on my glasses and contacts. He was easy to work with and actually sincerely apologized when Sears Optical’s payment department screwed up my bill.
I will be back Clem… oh yes… I will be back.
