AMAZINGFOOD! I stayed at the Marriott hotel with a friend for a concert. The food was delicious and great portioned. The prices were reasonable considering the area. They were so good for dinner we returned for breakfast. The staff and food was once again above our expectations.

Simple menu but good food. Very friendly staff. Aware of their customers. Chicken parmigiana sandwich is very good.

A good breakfast for a simple selection of typical breakfast items: waffles, french toast, potatoes, cereal, and toast. The only reason I would come back is the lady that makes omelets. She is very nice and cordial. The food is alright all around, nothing special but fills you up in the morning. I’ve been here a few times and would still come back.

Standard hotel restaurant… nothing bad, nothing outstanding. When I traveled here, I was actually on a burger kick, so I had a cheeseburger from the menu. The burger was cooked to order(medium) and actually pretty big and good… but again, nothing made it bad per se, or outstanding either. The service is good here, even in the afternoon around check-in when it was fairly quiet. There’s not much to look at or listen to if you’re not in good company, so if you’re rolling solo, take a good book I suppose. Pretty good hotel, and this is an A-ok, pretty good restaurant as well.

Very typical hotel restaurant. The food tries very hard to be fancy and creative but it really doesn’t get there. The service was OK, the food was OK but for just OK the prices seem a bit out of line. My wife and I shared a hummus appetizer which was tasty and had a bit of veggies and a cut up pita. The hummus was unique in that there were a few deep fried chickpeas on top. That said, $ 9 at a casual dining restaurant seemed a bit much for it. I had a «wild» mushroom flatbread pizza. It was tasty though I question whether the De Chevre cheese really worked with the bitter tomato sauce. It also did not help that the mushrooms looked to be white button and crimini mushrooms. For $ 13 I would at least expect a little more effort. My wife had a salad with a salmon filet on top. The salmon was well cooked to a perfect medium-rare though it was completely bland. It really wasn’t bad, but for the money I would definitely go elsewhere.

The food at Rooks Corner is pretty good. I love the buffets that they have each year on Easter and on Mother’s Day. It’s a great place to eat at with your family or friends.

Great atmosphere restaurant, The food was just excellent specially a salad named 625, the portion is amazing, the service was really good and dedicated, kudos for them. It is in perfect location specially if you are in the medical district area or UIC, also if you go to the restaurant they’ll give you free valet parking for 2 hrs or something.

Rooks corner is a hotel restaurant. And the obvious focus in a hotel is to accommodate the weary traveler and provide a stiff late night drink. That is why I only offer two stars for Rooks Corner in the Marriot on Ashland and Harrison. I ate here when my sister and her husband came to visit, and stayed at the Marriot. The coffee is good. The service is good. My sister ordered the fried mozzarella balls with marinara and shredded parmesan. They were standard, but the tomato sauce was a bit on the salty side, and a few of the balls were lukewarm in the center. She also ordered a cheese and bread encrusted onion soup, and the soup was so salty she couldn’t stomach eating the whole crock and returned it promptly. For my entrée, I ordered the crab cake appetizer with a pink remoulade. On the menu the crab cakes are noted as a healthy and light option — since when is a mayo based sauce healthy? At any rate, they were quite good. My sisters barbeque chicken pizza had a zesty oven baked taste to it. I would recommend the flatbread pizzas over anything on the menu here. They had a nice array of ingredients to build your own as well as some set options. I would never come out of my way to eat here, but it is a decent option if you’re staying at the Marriot. Although, you might just want to drink for dinner. The bartender was very jovial and seemed to really enjoy his job.
