This company was recommended by a well known mid century shop in Chicago. From beginning to end it was a dream to work with Kylie — from the initial consultation, to the emails back and forth, the hand-​holding (I was an upholstery virgin), to her expert advice about where to source wonderful and yet inexpensive materials. I learned so much and I am eager to work on my next project.

I’ve taken upholstery classes from Kylie twice and they are absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to take one again. Before I took them I knew nothing about upholstery and now I’m hooked. What I love about Kylie and Alex (who instructs the class with her) is that they are very hands on and willing to help right from the beginning. She gave me guidance on fabrics and once I took the class I feel like I got a lot of one-​on-​one instruction. Each class there is a maximum of 4 students so the classes feel very intimate and friendly and like you’re never wasting time. Best of all the results were fantastic. I recovered once chair in each session of classes and I absolutely love in addition to feeling like I learned so much.

This is my second review for Recovered Interiors. A couple years ago Kylie had made new cushions for two chairs from the 70’s that were my grandmothers. i still love them and they look as great as they did the day we got them. Recently my husband and I inherited a 9′ long mid century sofa. This was when I truly saw her talent for details and Alex’s amazing craftsmanship. It was a huge job but it came out so sleek and beautiful I can’t stop staring at it! If you have any old furniture sitting around do yourself a favor and give your old pieces a new life by calling Recovered Interiors. I really can’t say enough good things about them.

I have known Kylie for quite some time, but finally got to experience her talents at work! She recovered a chaise for me that i found in an alley and hand made bolster pillows to match. It’s my nicest piece of furniture I own and was my birthday present to myself! Love her work! Highly recommend Recovered!!!
