R29

I recently held a work related event at R29 and was blown away by the service. The manager Katelyn went above and beyond to help me make the event a success – working with me through every step of the process while keeping my budget in consideration. She truly exemplifies great customer service, and because of her, the event was a grand slam. Additionally, our server was extremely efficient and attentive, and the appetizers were delicious and nicely plated. I’ll definitely keep R29 top of mind the next time I have an event.

I can’t believe I gave this place 4 stars before. I love this place. Its adult and civilized. The staff are lovely and like family even if I haven’t been there for weeks.

R29 is a GREAT addition to the Franklin building! Makes coming to work «almost» bearable. :p The layout is nice, drinks are great and don’t cost an arm & leg (most drinks are $ 9 and under). Service is always with a smile. Great place to unwind before making the journey home. Or to your second drinking destination!

Nice bar for the tenants and registered guests of the building at 227 W. Monroe. Great atmosphere and mix of seating from high tables, to lounges, etc. Only wish was if there was some light appetizers to keep the booze flowing.
Anyways, very well done.

I really liked this place. Good drink selection and reasonable prices, plus little bowls of free popcorn that they were happy to keep refilling. Loved the vibe, décor and varied seating areas. Also has a great view of the city. This place would be fantastic for an event, i.e. office party or holiday gathering.

What a wonderful addition to The Franklin Building. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and inviting, the people super nice, and one of the bartenders, Kaitlyn is extremely knowledgeable about cocktails. It’s like being a member of a private club without the monthly expense. We are hoping to institute regular happy hours for our office, just like back in the day. In the meantime they will be seeing a lot of me. Thank you Tishman Speyer for an absolutely terrific amenity!!!

I don’t work in the building, but I have been seeing R29 advertised in the elevator of the building I work in. I ended up going here for a networking event. In order to come here you either have to work in the building, be a guest of someone that works in the building, or host an event. I had a really good time here! The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I can only come back with an invite only. LOL. The event space is really intimate and swanky. I love they have different seating areas. You can sit at the bar, on a comfy couch, or at one of the tables. It was packed cause I believe they had quite a few networking events going on, but the drinks were amazing. I had 2. maybe 3 of the Walk in Float out cocktails. I had such a great time and hope to come to another event here soon. Great amount of space to be able to mingle, but still provides the right amount of seclusion. Love it :)

Being in the building, I have a feeling I’ll frequent here often. It is modeled after the Library at 190 S. LaSalle so it is open to tenants and their guests. The service is outstanding and the drinks I’ve tried were great. Will review further once it is opened longer.
