Hate to have to share such bad news as the employees are very nice — not competent, but nice. For starters, calling itself a WHOLESALERIS A TOTALMISREPRESENTATION. After feeling that their price quotes for flooring and countertop material sounded high we explored and lo and behold… They were substantially MOREEXPENSIVETHANANYRETAILER! Not just a few bucks higher — I’m talking THOUSANDS! We put in new wood floors and ProSource’s quote was $ 3/SF higher than our best quote and even more notable, higher than any of about a half dozen retailers we contacted. They were $ 3,000 more for Silestone quartz countertops and, at the end of the day, our cabinets, the one product we put down a deposit on before price-checking elsewhere, ended up with issues at installation because Chelsey did a careless job on final measuring.(One full bank of cabinet drawers cannot be fully opened due to a structural support column that’s in the way and wasn’t noted in her drawings or measurements.) While that was the most significant issue, sadly we had several others. During installation we called because of the problems posed by faulty measurements and no one returned our call for a full week. Apparently, Chelsey is no longer there and I’m sure her replacement was busy dealing with plenty screw-ups but irregardless, that is unacceptable customer service, especially on such big ticket items. They also failed to follow-through on their promised product delivery time by two months! So to recap: 1.) They fail miserably on their assertions of delivering wholesale pricing. Any retailer beats their pricing. 2.) They suck on the critical points of customer service: follow-through on delivery timetable, timely notice of delivery delay, responding to installation issues and most importantly, accurately measuring the area so that the correct product and dimensions are ordered. If you’re doing a kitchen or bath renovation, you’ll do better if you go ANYWHERE else.

I recently ordered some T-Molds for a condo project(I ordered 1600 sf of flooring as well) and I have never had a worse customer service experience in my life. I placed the order in mid August, and it was supposed to be a 2 week delivery. When the two weeks were up, I was informed by Ed Gadomski that they had made the wrong color T-Molds, so it was going to be another 2 weeks. Sure enough those two weeks have come and gone, and still nothing has come in. I can understand if the manufacture made a mistake, those things happen. The problem is that Ed will not return my calls or emails, and my condo renovation is done now(minus these transition strips), and I still don’t have any idea when they would come in. All Ed needed to do was return one of my 6 calls or 2 emails and he could have saved a customer. I have now cancelled this order and gone to another Chicago dealer. I do not recommend this place at all.

They know their product, great pricing, great selection. Using for personal bathroom remodel with someone that has an account there. And, I would refer to clients or contractors here to get an account all day long.

We(Design Insight Inc.) have worked w/Prosource for multiple remodeling orders & research. Their selection & professionalism is unsurpassed! They not only have an enormous & beautiful showroom, but also an extremely knowledgable staff. Prosource is also unique because they offer higher quality products w/reasonable prices. I will continue to work with them & recommend them to others! –Jereme Smith, ALA Licended Architect & design/builder owner, Design Insight Inc.

Since my husband owns a construction business we got a membership to ProSource. We have bought our oak flooring from here(20 centers more than lumber liquidators but much better quality) and we got our tile for our bathroom here. We have a dedicated account manager who’s awesome and they have great prices and a great selection. And the membership is super cheap…

This place is a joke. This was my experience Me: Good Morning, can you please tell me if you have X item? She: Do you have a membership? Me: No, but my contractors does. She: let me look it up… it appears he does not, do you want to buy a membership? Me: can you tell me if you have what I want? She: You have to buy a membership first? Me: To tell me if you want what I want? She: Yes Other Prosource employee: We’re like Costco in that we need a membership. Me: But can you tell me if you have what I want? She: Not before you buy a membership. The end

This is one of those member only places open to the trades, lucky for me my cousin is in the hardwood flooring biz and he sent me here to look since we’re going to be doing a project. If you’re going to be doing any flooring, from wood, tile, to carpet these guys have it. They also have some gorgeous tile for the kitchen and bath. They actually have so many choices we’re still deciding, in addition to the choices they’re are friendly and informative. If you’re contractor isn’t a member here yet, tell them to get on it, so you can sign in and look at the show room.
