I am simply not a fan of Potbelly’s menu, however, I am in love with their cookies. I really like this location because it is in a fairly low traffic area. Each time I have visited the shop, I rarely ever have to wait. I cannot speak much on anything else other than the freshness of the cookies because that Is all I ever order from here. They are in fact always fresh and chewy. The sugar cookies are to die for. The help here is pretty basic. They get the job done. Not very personable but not rude. They just exist. I think this is a great place to get work done.

The experience I just had at this Potbelly’s was so refreshing I can’t wait to write about it. It’s a quiet Saturday morning and the sandwich shop is pleasantly calm. I order right away and the employees are smiling and polite, like always. Even during weekday lunch time, when there’s a line of hungry people and it’s so hectic, the employees are efficient and friendly. While these lovely people prepare my lunch a family of tourists come bustling in and struggle to order. The line of workers are beyond patient and maintain those smiles, they must be desensitized to the stupid, obnoxious, and rude. Even when one of the children suddenly remembers she doesn’t like tuna and wants roast beef and asks for a new sandwich, they smile. I couldn’t detect even a hint of snark when they obliged. Despite oblivious and impolite nonsense the crew had to navigate through, the family got their food and was able to enjoy their meal. This Potbelly’s team deserves an award, or at least your respect. I appreciate the food(delicious, duh) but I enjoy the experience because of the staff. Keep it up, guys.

A lot of these reviews seem to center on the slow service but I didn’t have a problem. When I walked in there are approximately 15 people in line but they did have a guy going up and down the line taking your order and the sandwich was ready for me when I got up to the counter. So I have no complaints about the service because they are making an effort and the sandwich is comparable to the other locations.

Horrible service, they should be ashamed at how slow they are. After waiting ten minutes to make my salad, then ten more to ring me up, I left. They workers are incredibly rude and ignorant. The manager should be embarrassed.

I’ve been to this location 5+ times and the staff have been rude every time. Each visit there have been at least 4 people behind the counter loudly talking to each other and complaining, with one person working. It’s awkward to wait for a sandwich with people loudly goofing in front of you. The sandwiches are fine, but I’ll walk to the Michigan Ave. location just to avoid the bad customer service.

The food here is pretty much the same as any Potbellys, but the service is usually pretty bad. Somehow I always get stuck standing by the register for a few minutes waiting for someone to ring me out. Again, the food’s good, but if it’s not too far out of your way, I’d recommend going to the location on Chicago Ave.

They may make great sandwiched while you watch them but their delivery sandwiches are BAD! I ordered the chicken salad with extra meat and the chicken salad did not even cover the bread! I tried again with the Mediterranean chicken and I got 3 small pieces of chicken. I called and the manager said they would send me a coupon… never came.

Very busy PotBelly’s, but they always somehow make it through. The staff are nice. I was there this week and it seemed a big unorganized, but that is not normal so I will let it slide.

Potbellys! I can never call it Potbelly, that just sounds weird. Anyway, this location is fantastic for the medical district! I love coming to lunch here. Contrary to other potbellys I have been to, this one does not have an acoustic guitar player during the weekday lunch. However, there is an ample amount of space and the service is really fast. The sandwiches are always made to perfection and everyone is super friendly!

Good sandwiches, reasonably priced. Didn’t feel like going out to eat, so went to pick up some dinner from the Potbelly location less than a block away from the hotel. Ordered a turkey breast sandwich, an Italian sandwich, and a Farmhouse salad. The person taking my order must have been in training or something, since the process seemed to take forever, and then the person making my food didn’t know about the salad. In spite of this, we enjoyed our meal from Potbelly. Sandwiches were tasty, although I’d leave off the hot peppers unless you like really spicy sandwiches. Well, maybe just ask them to use half as much and you’ll be okay. The salad had a surprising amount of goodies, not just a iceberg-dominated affair. Altogether very good.

I’m not so sure if this is the one I’m obsessed with, but I love it! As well as all the other Potbelly’s I have been to. Every time I go here(not that often, mind you) I am greeted with the fresh aroma of sandwiches! Totally awesome! I usually order some cheddar sun chips, the turkey+Swiss cheese sandwich, toasted, with a reasonable amount of mayo, along with a banana shake. Every single bite(and unladylike slurp) is pure heaven. Service is just service. TRYTHEBROWNIECOOKIESANDTRYTHEMNOW!!! But not without me.

Don’t expect them to be ready to serve customers in the first 15 minutes after opening. That’s apparently the time when they’re setting up and arguing among themselves. Not impressed.

«Dad, let’s just go Subway. « I wasn’t going to let that happen while in chi-town. Went a block or so further and found this place. Verrry friendly staff who were helpful in many ways, answering questions, and were patient with us as we took our time and ordered. Had a wreck, an Italian, smoked turkey, 2 others and just a cup of chicken salad. Everything was great! Loved the bread, toasted the sandwiches, and even though the fixings were limited, they were spot on. Cute little table in a 2 tiered room with windows overlooking the street was comfortable and kept clean. While we were leaving… «Dad, thanks for not taking us to Subway!» Sooooo good. Yum.

The sandwiches and service are great, especially for how cheap everything is. It can get a bit busy during the lunch hour, but the line usually goes by in less than 15 minutes even if it is backed up to the door. I would recommend trying the Wreck on their new flatbread — my new favorite go-to when I’m here. I also always get a brownie cookie when they aren’t sold out. Oh, and they also have a secret menu of sandwiches that Potbelly employees are trained to make but aren’t listed on the in-store menu. You can find the secret menu online through Google if you are interested, Some of them are also pretty tasty!

What a great sandwich! The bread is delicious and the meat and toppings are fresh. I had fantastic service and they were so friendly and excited to serve me, especially when they found out I was from Mississippi. A great place for a quick, delicious meal and for a great price!

Very efficient, friendly service. I’ve had the«a wreck» as well their pizza sandwich. The pizza sandwich was ok I guess, but I was really impressed with how awesome the wreck sandwich tasted. Having the cream soda and bottled root beers are a definite plus, but sadly weren’t as good as I remembered them from my childhood. Either way, major cool points. They’re a little busy during the week days with the work crowd at lunch. But on the weekend I was the only person there during lunch hour when I went and I got my food super fast. Definitely check it out. A little pricier than subway, but definitely worth the money.

Restaurant review Sandwiches galore in Streeterville. I cannot count how many sandwich shops are in this area. Occasionally I throw«A Wreck»(rukey, slamin, roast beef, ham, swiss cheese) into the mix to complement my sandwich intake. Service is slow even when it is not busy, but the staff is friendly. You can upgrade your sandwich to the Big but it doesn’t appear that much bigger imho. You can complement your meal with a milkshake that is hand mixed, but again pretty small in size. Otw nothing spectacularly good or bad about this place earns it a average 3 star review Pro: online ordering available to speed up the process, variety of sandwiches with different meats Cons: slow service, average size sandwiches/milk shakes Hidden gem: no exciting deals here

Potbelly brings you amazing sandwiches at an amazing price. For $ 5.50, you can get a big version of their sandwiches. I’m a big fan of the roast beef. Whenever I get in line, I’m tempted to try something else, just to see if I love it as much as the roast beef. But then I think, «Why would I miss out on the opportunity to have that awesome roast beef again?» And then I revert to my usual. If you’re in a sandwich mood, what’s your alternative? Subway? Feh. Quizno’s? Forget about it. You’ll find Potbelly locations all over Chicago. They are uniformly excellent. The perfect lunch location.
