I love Popeyes but I seriously will never go here again first they told me 12 mins after 20mins I went in asked for my food and they said I still have to wait for fries so I spent a total of 30 mins before I got my food I’m not exaggerating i have the snaps with the time post to prove it then when she finally brings my food she did not apologize for the extra time I had to wait nor did they compensate me for they miss up «ma’am would you like some water while you wait or here’s some extra fries» I don’t need hand outs but a 17 extra min wait that’s absurd especially with no notification of the extra wait or no apologies

I came here on a Tuesday to grab a quick bite to eat, and the word«quick» is not one that I can use here… at least on a Tuesday. Granted, the Tuesday special(and the current $ 5 Box special) are extremely popular, but that’s no excuse for the slow service myself(and several others) received. It took over ten minutes to get a $ 5 Box consisting of 3 mild strips, a side of mashed potatoes, a side of macaroni and cheese, and a soft drink. Even if the tenders have just been dropped into the fryer, it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to be served. Why’d it take so long? Glad you asked! If the entire crew is off having personal conversations, or the entire kitchen staff disappears, then of course it’ll take that long. Especially if the front lobby is full of customers just wanting their food. Finally after people started complaining, and the cashier even complained about the TENORDERS that were just sitting in queue, the staff reappeared, ARGUED(in plain view and hearing of the customers) over who’s fault it was that nothing is getting pushed out, food started to move. Oh and by the way, remember that macaroni and cheese I wanted as a side? Didn’t get it. The biscuit? Burned. Fail. Big time.

Went today and ordered the 11 pc special for 13.99 and asked for spicy and a large order of Cajun rice. I get to the drive thru window and they again asked what my side was.(See previous reviewer about talking in the background) After receiving my order I noticed the receipt said mild. I question the lady and she says I asked for mild. I said no, I asked for spicy. Then she goes and says it’s spicy and that she just rang it in whatever. I then had to look at my chix and thought to myself ok, it’s looks a little dark so maybe it’s spicy. Bitch lied. Unfortunately i didnt know till i got home. I knew i should have bit into a piece right in front of her ass but then again who’s to say these careless workers will do something to my corrected order. Don’t plan on going back to this ghetto ass place.

Two stars because its local. This is the worst popeyes location I have ever been to. Each time I go here they are always out of chicken(I know right), don’t have spicy chicken, 15 minute wait on chicken or they’re just ridiculously rude at this location. I’d stay just stay clear of this location and their hard old and cold biscuits.

I’m only giving this place 1-star because I can’t give it zero stars. In short, I spent nearly $ 20 and more than 20 minutes on food that I never received. After waiting, waiting, and waiting, I requested a refund and was told by the manager that my food was«already ready.» Seriously? If it were already ready, why isn’t it in my hands??? I took my money and left, without food. I drove up the street to Subway and got two sandwiches under two minutes for nearly half the price I was paying at Popeyes. If you’re as smart as I know you are, you’d avoid this place like the plague.

I love Popeyes. I recently moved from the Brighton Park area to near hyde park area and I went to this Popeyes. Theses people must HATE there job because they are rude all the way through. They cut you off on the intercom to aask you questions you already answered if they were listening and they will have conversations with someone else in the background. I don’t understand how any of them still have jobs. This is defitnately a hood spot which sucks because its the closest to my house. But I will drive 15min out of my way to avoid this place. Its sad how you can’t give certain people jobs because they will abuse the heck out of it.

Thankfully my experience yesterday was a whole lot better than previous reviewers experiences. I’ve actually eaten food from here a few times and was always impressed. Yesterday was the first time I actually went inside and ordered it so now I feel I can give an acturate review of it. Upon entering you can’t help but notice that the customers are completely walled off from the employees by thick bullet proof glass. My first thoughts were oh no what have I walked into should I fear for my life and run before I get mugged? Then I quickly realized that the bullet proof glass not only protects the employees, but also protects me. Obviously the people they want to protect their employees from are aware that robbing the place through a frontal attempt would be futile. Therefore they will not waste their time coming in to rob the place so the customers can feel pretty safe since those people won’t be going in and attempting to rob the place and putting customers lives in danger. Now on to the food. I love the food here. The chicken reminds me of what fried chicken used to taste like decades ago at KFC. Unlike KFC today the chicken here is not overly greasey and there’s actually meat on the bone. Also the flavoring is not just on the breading but in the meat too. I really can’t stand fast food biscuits, but I found myself eating 2 of theirs yesterday so that’s a major compliment about their biscuits. As for their sides of the ones I’ve had I really enjoyed and so far have not had a bad one.

Popeyes has some of the best chicken and sides hands down! But not this place!!! Everytime I come here they are out of something. This location is incredibly ghetto with horrible service. Don’t even go inside because it’s hard to comunicate through their bulletproof windows and just to find out they don’t have Mac & Cheese or other itmes. I wish they shut this place down and revamp it.

I love Popeye’s, especially the mashed potatoes, and the fact that they give you honey with the biscuits. With that said, I’m the first to review this particular location, and I hope for your sake I’m the last. I have never gotten poorer fast food service in my life. Rarely have I encountered people as rude in my life. NEVER have I had to physically reach over the counter to grab my food while an employee stood directly in front of me at the register. I would rather pay a bum to sell me one of his limbs and eat it raw than go back to this Popeye’s. Trust me on this one.
