Great Alfredo, I put chicken, shrimp, spinach, onion and green peppers in mine it cancer a little pricey but well worth it! The southwest chicken eggrolls are the bomb! Please visit, never a disappointment. My bf loves this place he loves the pepperoni pizza!

Pizza Capri was a great place to stop at for a late-night, satisfying meal in Hyde Park. We arrived around 10pm and the place was still bustling. We waited for about 15 minutes and were promptly seated by manager and staff. The menu has a great selection of classics and spin-off dishes. They have a full bar though I did not partake unfortunately. I almost ordered an appetizer(their salads sounded delicious) but filled myself up on their bread basket instead. A simple Italian white bread was provided but the real star was the house made garlic and herb olive oil to dip it in. A simple and effective combination of spices and garlic transformed the white bread into something much more and was some of the best bread+oil I’ve ever had! For the main course I ordered the tricolor tortellini in a spinach, pine nut cream sauce with a nicely grilled chicken filet. The dish was served piping hot and though I ordered the smaller size, was plenty of food — caution on the larger size! Tortellini was delicious and the cream sauce wasn’t too heavy, nicely coating the noodles and chicken. The pine nuts added a delightful flavor and made the dish stand out. I only wish there were more proteins in the dish, more pine nuts and chicken. Still a fantastic first visit! I look forward to returning for salads, pizza and drinks. Update to follow.

Ordered the gourmet cheese pizza for delivery. It was supposed to be four types of cheese on olive oil with fresh tomatoes and basil. Instead, it is just tomato sauce and cheese. Not what I ordered, very disappointed.

This is such an excellent place to have an informal dining experience at. The food is very tasty, and the ambiance is on point! I have no complaints of this restaurant.

We’ve dined in and ordered delivery from Pizza Capri. Exceptionally better than Giordano’s in both food quality/presentation and customer service. Dining in: the tables are very very close together. We had a large family(numerically large) and a large family(in weight) flanking either side of us. It was uncomfortable to say the least. Especially in cold weather(trying to figure out the coat situation was awkward). Also, we seemed to be right in the line of sight to where the server staff hung out. I saw servers shove food in their mouths and talk trash about their tables. I get it, I was a server too… but you aren’t supposed to do that within earshot of the customers. Our table was really tiny too… water, cocktails, silverware, bread, appetizer plates and then entrée plates… just seemed very squished(and then you add on the people on either side of us squeezing in and out of the booth length table). We will be definitely be coming here again, but probably dining in the bar. Ordering delivery: amazing. Phone order person was polite and accurate. Our food order came under the delivery time quoted and the food(spicy chicken pesto pizza) delish. Thank you!

Ordered the Pesto Lover’s pizza. Really enjoyed it — they don’t skimp on the ingredients. Food presentation and the service was good. Would definitely visit again

If the kitchen staff was not so busy socializing they would have gotten my order right! 1st visit: Walked in and ordered the Una’s Tuna Wrap, it sounded perfect, I love artichokes. When I returned to my office, the wrap had NO artichokes. 2nd visit: Walked in and ordered the Cesar Wrap for takeout. When I returned to my office, I was given a Cesar salad! No third visit!

TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. We made reservations for a party of 10, they didn’t quite have our table ready but that’s the least of my concern. The management and waitstaff stood at the opposite end of the room looking at our table in disgust and shaking their heads. It was extremely obvious that we were not welcome. Our group was mainly composed of graduate students in a History program, so you can imagine just how«rambunctious» and«disruptive» the group was. A bottle of wine that costs $ 9 at the store costs $ 37? Seriously… The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. I’m not even sure there was eggplant in my Eggplant Parmesan, it just tasted like breading. So now it’s time for the check, THECHECK, because they don’t spilt checks… It’s normal for restaurants to include gratuity on large groups but to not spilt the check is absurd. Someone should at least warn you when you make the reservation. Just beware of you plan on having a group at Pizza Capri, you are not welcome, you will get overpriced mediocre Italian food, and someone’s card is going to take a hit unless everyone brings cash.

The ambience and staff are very nice. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was good. I also ordered the tomato basil soup which was delicious. I’d definitely return for the soup. My friend ordered the potato soup but it was a little on the salty side.

Not changing my score, just more compliments. Came here on a Friday night with my parents, it was busy but the manager gave us prompt attention and told us the wait wouldn’t be long. He had a table he said was a bit cramped(let’s be honest, all the tables in this place are, but it works), but it worked okay. The wait staff was very attentive, and when the waiter found out it was my birthday he brought us a dessert on the house!

I’ve only been here a few times but this food is amazing. A little tight especially on a weekend night but other than that I have no complaints. Definitely would recommend to anyone on the south east side looking for great food.

Extra thin crust far from thin. One piece fills you up, but it’s neither tasty or satisfying. No flavor from the onions, mushrooms, sauce or cheese was detected. It was unpleasant. Pastrami sandwich, on the other hand, was pretty damn good. Perfectly seasoned, sliced and dressed on a soft onion roll. Thin red onion slices, spicy deli mustard, really surprising burst of flavor and texture. Well done gentlemen.

I went here as part of a group of co-workers for a holiday staff celebration. Overall, my impression of this place is just okay. The variety of options from the menu was great, but everything was pre-ordered for the group I was with. The service overall was good, but lets dive into the food! I ate a lot. For starters there was the fried calamari and the Tex-Mex Egg Roll which were okay. The Mixed Baby Green Salad was good with vinaigrette was delicious. It normally comes with raspberry vinaigrette but that was a little thick and not preferred. The main courses that I personally tried was the Pasta Shells with Salmon which were season well and had mushrooms, which is personal dislike of mine, but it was still good nevertheless. The Tequila Lime Chicken fettuccine which was my favorite was well seasoned and very tasty. Definitely recommend! Also had a slice of Pesto Lover pizza which was just okay, nothing special and also a slice of the Chicago style pizza(Sausage, cheese, and spinach). This was relatively good, but I also love pizza so there might be a little bias. We ate a lot, the food just coming! Overall good experience, but there were some negatives. First, I noticed some issues with the cleanliness of the dining plates. To be servicing some high VP’s from the organization I work for I was disappointed and had to ask for cleaner plates. Also other minor things in service that was lacking. Again, just an okay experience which may have been improved if the group was smaller. If you like Italian food, I would say definitely try some of the options on the menu!

The pizza from pizza Capri was good. We got the stuffed deep dish(Chicago style pizza) and it was delectable. Nice and tasty. It was perfectly crispy. A major complaint is that my friend ordered a tossed salad and requested blue cheese dressing. She was told that it would cost $ 4 extra. So she paid the money and when she got home she had a small condiment cup of blue cheese crumbles… not dressing. She ended up not eating her salad(wasted money). Yall need to be more attentive and detail oriented. Also, $ 4 is steep. Get it together. Yall are very lucky to have 3 stars from me, I tethered between 2 and 3.

I loved my visit. First of all the olive oil for the bread is seasoned so well. It is delicious!!! I came with my family and I was surprised that they could accommodate us so quickly because the place is kind of small on the inside. But we got a good table that fit me, my husband, three kids and an infant in a car seat. No small feat! The kids got pizza and it looked ok. My husband got the salmon pasta and he loved it after adding salt and tons of pepper. I got the creamy chicken and scrimp fettuccine and it was very good. No complaints. I will come here again

Sat at the bar with my son and nephew for a quick bite. Son ordered small pep pizza thin crust and chicken Marsala. Service was great. Served bread with olive oil. Drinks were always full. Chicken Marsala was great. Chicken was juice and packed with flavor. The portion was perfect to fill me up but wish for a little more to take home some leftover. Well priced. Brought some unfinished pizza home and tasted great cold or warmed up. Recommend it.

I came here after attending a party at the Promontory. I was a little disappointed they weren’t seating outside anymore since it was a beautiful night and only 9:00. Never the less they got us seated inside pretty quickly. Let me first start with the bread they give you when your seated. I was starving and it was delicious. I mixed my own concoction of oil, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper to dip the bread in. I ordered an appetizer as my meal and went with the chicken southwest egg rolls. I found then very filling and loved the chili mayo dipping sauce. Better yet I took two home as leftovers and they made the perfect breakfast. Plan on coming back to try the pizza next time I’m in the neighborhood.

I’ve eaten here twice and had it delivered/catered too many times to count. The food is pretty good quality all around, and the pizzas are definitely artisan. The food in house is definitely served more fresh, but even when delivered the food is still tasty. The waiter service has always been great, not too much hovering and always there when I need something. The only thing I can fault Pizza Capri with is that their gourmet pizzas are ridiculously expensive, not an issue when someone else is paying but not something I get when it’s just me and some friends. Items I’ve liked: Garlic bread and mozzarella garlic bread, ravioli formaggio, mixed baby greens salad, BBQ Blast pizza, Almost Gourmet pizza, Zorba The Greek pizza, Hawaiian BBQ Chicken pizza, Tequilla lime chicken fettucini, Garlic Chicken fettucini, tri-color tortellinis(with chicken), Rotini Tuscany, Gnocchi alla Vodka And i just realized I haven’t had their lasagna, so I think I’ll be going in the future to find out how good it is.
