Service was great, but the Bahn mi I got was disappointing. There wasn’t enough filling inside the sandwich compared to how much bread there was. Felt like I overpaid.

This place was great! The food was in good portion. Their phở was delicious! The waiter was nice. Recommended to friends and family.

I like this new little place! They don’t mind explaining everything and educating someone who might be unfamiliar with the cuisine. The food tastes great and fresh. They even make dishes not on the menu or special requests if you ask. We came here because Tank Noodle was closed. This place is just as delicious but not as crowded. No complaints there! Taking one star because the server was a young kid who took forever. It seems like he was more interested in his phone.

The service was horrendous. My girlfriend asked for no cilantro in the phở that she ordered. The phở she got was full of cilantro. She tried to take the flakes out but still could taste it. When I told the waiter about the mistake, he just looked at me and rolled his eyes, and accused my girlfriend of not mentioning the request at all. He took the bowl to the back kitchen, and after 5 minutes, the same bowl was returned to us with the same cilantro stems still in the soup. Never once did the waiter ask how the meal was or how we were doing. Instead, I felt we were interrupting them from watching their soap operas on the ipad, which they were doing every second that they weren’t begrudgingly serving their customers. The quality of the food wasn’t far from the quality of their service. The soup was overly oily, and the meat slices were still stuck together when served to us. In the sea of phở restaurants that is Argyle, Phở Loan is at the very bottom.

Great authentic Vietnamese food. Bun bo hue was the best I had in Chicago. Bo Luc Lac also very tasty. Service a bit slow.

Seeing is believing. I have tried many dishes here. I have yet been disappointed! It really beats all the hypes I have seen at other locations. Give it a try. U really won’t be disappointed!

Food was good! But service was horrible hence the 2 stars. My group has 6 people but for some reason, they gave us 3 glasses of ice water and 3 cups of hot tea instead of 6 each or just 6 of 1 kind. They weren’t that busy but they forgot our drink orders(even when we reminded 4 times) and got our order incorrectly. And when they finally brought our food out, they spilled phở broth on 1 person from my group. My mom told me not to tip but I tipped anyway with note suggesting that they should really work on improving their service. My unsolicited advice is just do take out and not dining in.

The best phở in Chicago. The flavor is better than that at Phở Tank and Phở 777. Only 4⁄5 because phở in Chicago will never be as good as it is in Houston or LA.

First impression was the place was clean and new. I ended up ordering egg rolls and a small phở. The first thing that came out was the phở which I though was pretty big(I don’t think it was the small I ordered) I preceded to ask about my egg rolls because I assumed that they would come out first. The female server said that I only order phở so I told her that’s fine but the male server interrupted and said that it was coming. I told them both that I did not want them if they still haven’t fried them yet. The male server insisted that they were being cooked but it took another 10−15mins to come out. When they eventually came out I took a bite and did not expect it to be mushy on the inside compared to other egg rolls I’ve had in the area. As I was ready to pay the male server mentioned that their credit card machine wasn’t working which they failed to mention before I ordered. There was no signage anywhere stating that the machine was broken. I wasn’t happy when he said I needed to go to the ATM next door which charged a fee of $ 3. Needless to say I won’t be going there again and don’t recommend this place due to lack of customer service. There are better phở restaurants in the area with better customer service and excellent food within walking distance of this place.

Restaurant was not busy. My boyfriend got his meal and had halfed finished it before mine arrived that is after waiting several minutes and I insisted he eat ehile its hot. The Vietnamese coffee was premixed when it came to the table so ordering something unique and fun was lost. Very bright clean.

Been here a few times and finally writing a review. Most of my dining experience here has been pretty good. Their menu offers a few different items than other restaurants. Their phở was good, but now it seems watered down. Maybe it was an off day. They also specially made something for me that’s not on the menu, canh chua. It’s my ultimate favorite vietnamese dish, and they made it! I was so happy. We were going to tip well. With that and a small pork dish… They charged me $ 40 before tipping. Usually when my boyfriend and I come here, we only spend $ 30(before tipping) at most. Since then, we refused to come back. We felt scammed. I also have 2 more complaints, their plastic cups are so cheap for their smoothies. Compare to Starbucks… We can reuse those plastic cups. Phở Loan’s cups can’t even be used for half a drinking experience. My cousin’s cup cracked vertically. I asked for another cup just to cover it, but then it cracked again! Wow! On top of it, it didn’t taste like a real avocado smoothie. Can you say, «powder?» We also had their banh Xeo which was tasty BUTTT not crispy. The owner was sorry for breaking it while cooking? But we saw nothing wrong. Just not crispy. They seem to have good cooking back there and mediocre service, but some of these things tick me off… Makes me feel like they are a stingy owner. $ 40 for canh Chua and thit nuong? Then low quality cups? And using powder for a $ 4 avocado smoothie? Would I come back? Only if we are really hungry and there’s no where to park/if they’re the only one open. Hence, we never came back since our $ 40 meal… But we came back After our flight home from Houston. It was a 6am flight and there was a lot of snow coming down. ‘Nuff said.

You gotta try this place. We loved their cook. This place has very authentic Vietnamese food. I’m talking about the kind of food you would find in Vietnam. Their smoothies are phenomenon too.

Our new spot for Vietnamese. Came in on a whim bc Tank Noodle was packed on a Sat. night. This place didn’t disappoint. Service was prompt friendly & courteous. Owner was very sweet personable. Food was delicious and portions were big. After the spring rolls, which were huge & tasty, we could barely finish our meals(pork skin w/rice and beef w/wide rice noodle). Nutshell: Give these other restaurants a shot. It breaks my heart seeing hipsters/white folk flock to the only place they know(Tank Noodle) and all these other establishments empty for no real reason.

The Phở here is really good. We have been here twice and have gotten good food and good service. Definitely a hidden gem. The ingredients are quality and they give you a good amount of soup and noodles.
