This place sucks. Soup inedible. Food made with no passion or care. Blah. I would not recommend or go back here. All around thumbs down.

Meh I could take if or leave it. The orange chicken tasted different and I don’t think I mean that in a good way. Lol. I’ve definitely have had better, but maybe I need to try other items on the menu. On the plus side the fortune cookies are free!

The service here is absolutely terrible. The first time we went here they completely messed up my order and gave me chicken when I ordered shrimp and I don’t eat chicken. When I called to tell them the mistake when I got home, they said that they would send me coupons which I never received The second time I went I ordered three things When I got home, the order was completely wrong. When I called to ask what I should do they said that they would refund me my money. I received no apologies or anything like that and was rudely dismissed by the manager. Then I never got a refund and I had to call back two times before this was rectified. Terrible service and subpar food.

We decided to drop by for dinner since we were in the area. We ended up ordering a spicy tuna roll and a couple entrees. Overall, the entrees were fairly good. The spicy tuna was decent starting out, but the past few pieces were extremely fishy. That’s the good. Now on to the bad. It just wasn’t clean. The bathrooms were disgusting. The stench was so overwhelming it cannot be described. The manager was informed and he seemed to signal to one of the employees to go mop. While he did respond to it, the fact it was left in that condition is completely unacceptable. Had I seen the restroom before I ordered I would have walked straight out the door. Any restaurant that leaves their publicly accessible places in that condition probably has even worse things going on in their back rooms.

Remember that time you thought you knew some shit but only because you made it up in your head. I do, and that’s why I went to Pei Wei. Now, let a dude tell you how not to do date night. One, don’t go to Pei Wei. Ok, now that you’ve improved date night let me tell you how mine went. Things start out fine with, «Hey let’s go to Pei Wei because for no reason at all I think it’s a restaurant.» Girl says, «You’re an idiot, it’s like Taco Bell for asian food.» I say, «Na, you crazy, I walked by it once and for no reason at all I think it’s a shitty, but cool little joint.» So we go, because I can be thick like a brick and she knows it’ll hurt me deep to be so god damn wrong. So boom, we get there and I feel nothing but crippling defeat. So, being awesome, we decide to throw two fingers to the sky and order heavy. We get sushi, lettuce wraps, orange chicken and some other forgettable crap. It was, to be blunt, on the wrong side of forgettable. Meaning, that I would have rather forgot about this meal than added to my «oh that sucked» memory stockpile. Anyway, what I’m really getting at here is that you should not go to Pei Wei unless you are a super mediocre individual hell bent on keeping it that way. Cheers!

The whole concept is really nice – designed as a fast casual experience of their owner PF Changs. I love the food(the chicken teriyaki is my favorite at any location), but the prices are climbing. An average entrée and appetizer now approaches $ 17, not including a drink. The restaurant itself is clean but noisy.

Not bad for fast food Chinese. Decent portion and fair price, QUITE tasty! They were a bit swamped on this particular visit and we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. They were very apologetic and we totally understood but still we were starved because we’d been Christmas shopping all day, it was after 2 and we hadn’t eaten all day. We tipped the waiter well because we felt bad for him. Merry Christmas dude!

This place always let me down. I go there with my family trying to avoid fast food and a sit-down/server restaurant and looking for a good, but fast option. It never works out and always takes way longer than it should. The restaurant seems to never have anyone in charge. The floors, tables, and bathrooms are usually absolutely disgusting and are obviously rarely cleaned. If you want a table cleaned, you have to ask and then wait. The employees always seem unsupervised and are sitting in the dining room talking on their phones, eating, or constantly looking at their phones that are charging in the dining room. I’ve never seen anything like it The food comes out totally random. Entrees come out before appetizers and the whole order never comes out at the same time. It seems like a bad restaurant practice to have every person at a table eating at separate times(this includes kids meals, etc). The kitchen gets overwhelmed when there’s only a few people in there. I’ve given them more chances than I should have, but we will no longer be going back. No amount of gift cards, apologies, or free menu items can make me overlook the issues here. There are countless dining options in Chicago to enjoy that it’s not worth putting up with this place.

Currently sitting down at the restaurant. So it’s a Saturday at 9pm. Floors are sticky. I know black guy in a gray vest with glasses knows this cause i can hear the sticky noise while he’s walking. Tables are dirty. It’s not busy. And they’re just chatting with the cooks.

I’ll start with the positive … The food was decent. Outside of that the attitude of the staff was horrible with the exception of one guy. They bickered with each other and fought over who should take people’s orders. The floors were sticky. The tables filthy. We were offered a survey in exchange for free beverages. They held our cups until we finished the survey to prove we took it. Ridiculous. Just poor all the way around. Juan was only helpful one of the lot.

This place gave me food poisoning… that’s all I need to say. But Unilocal is telling me I need to add more. It was a Thursday night. Service was pretty slow, but then realized it is because they assumed my order was a different order based on my name. so my order had been sitting for anywhere from 5 – 10 minutes. I order sushi, the chicken wraps, and crab Rangoon. It is now Sunday and I’m still in the bathroom and have yet to keep anything solid down. A hospital trip might be in my near future.

Sam is the man: Great service. Solid food. I’ve been coming here for years and I’m always satisfied. Pei Wei makes up for the lack of good Chinese food in this part of town…

Pei Wei and PF Chang are McAsian. The McDonalds of Asain food next to Panda Express. The minute your soda machine is the highlight in your restaurant, you have issues. The food is edible but very forgettable. Nothing is going to wow you unless youre easily wowed like the Unilocalers who gave Pei Wei high ratings. The establishment is nice, the staff is very friendly and they have good drinks. Good service should be the standard though. A good restaurant is supposed to stand out due to its food, everything else should be expected. Their wrap was actually dry and the sauces hide the blandness of each dish. In my case I had the pad thai, I would be better off going to California and Logan to Anong for real delicious pad thai. Chipotle is more«authentic» to mexican food than Pei Wei. Seriously, youre not far from getting authentic asain food elsewhere. Forget about Pei Wei, youre better off going elsewhere. Unless of course it’s one of the Unilocalers who gave Pei Wei a high rating. I bet they think Taco Bell is real Mexican food too.

Great food that I have enjoyed many times. Their service is fast and friendly environment. Convenient parking. Their soda machine is one of my favorites you can customize your drinks, their iced mandarin green tea is incredible and so is their lemonade! All their meals are customized which is a fun option but you need to know what to order and combine it with the right sauces and type of noodles. Tonight I ordered Pei Wei Spicy, tofu and steak, the steak and steamed vegetables were delicious, the noodles sauce was sweet, too sweet for my taste. It all depends on what you order but some of their meals can be a little high on salt. Overall we enjoyed our dinner. Next time I will order Kun Pao Steamed Vegetables and Tofu, Rice Noodles and«Sauce on the side». Don’t forget to grab a fortune cookie.

Pei Wei is a good quick option in the neighborhood and they do what they do well. It’s not anything to choose for your birthday dinner or anything like that, but it’s a great option for those lunches or dinners when you don’t have anything in the kitchen or you can’t be bothered to cook.

Enjoyed another excellently prepared dinner for the right price! The ambience is upscale, and inviting! I come here every time I go shopping especially at Microcenter computer store. A good place to treat yourself to a healthy choice of freshly prepared food. Manager Jae monitors the experience and ensures a meal prepared and delivered to your satisfaction. I speak highly of this restaurant from my experiences and I am somewhat hard on service providers. I want good service or I’ll take my money elsewhere. This restaurant has my attention and I am spreading the word of a great healthy meal for a good price! Caring customers service by manager Jae, this location is a great choice for dinner!

I’m torn between 2 stars and 3. The service was fantastic, the person at the front took the time to explain everything to me(my first time here and I had no clue how to order) the rest of the staff were friendly and it’s not their fault the food is sub-par. I had heard about this restaurant from some acquaintances who eat here regularly, and having just moved to the area I figured I’d give it a try. I imagine it’s something like FlatTop Grill, only I couldn’t taste any of the sauces beforehand, so I wasn’t sure what I might like, ended up getting 2 sushi rolls. They were very sad looking. I never thought of sushi as being fast food before, I’ve seen rolls in the supermarket that looked more appetizing than these. I imagine if McDonald’s started serving sushi, this is the template they would use. Again, not the staff’s fault, or anything, but I won’t ever be back.

Not quite sure what’s happened but I feel as though this place has changed… the vegetables in the entrees don’t seem as fresh and the amount of protein(I always order chicken) has gone down… I’ll still eat here though. It’s still probably one of the better fast food Asian places around here.

It’s okay… I’ve been here a couple times when I was in the area and hungry. I don’t know why I always seem to forget that I never really enjoy it and never leave feeling satisfied. Pei Wei is the quick serve version of P.F. Changs, if that helps you make your decision at all. Okay Americanized version of Chinese food with friendly staff. Take it or leave it…

I’m addicted to their Thai lettuce wrap. It’s absolutely phenomenal. It’s probably the one thing I get here. I’ve never dine at this location before, therefore I would not know how the service is. I’ve always preordered my food online for pick-up.
