I live nearby this shop and finally stopped by to check out what this place was like. I found tons of great, unique jewelry items from around the world(owners are stewardesses and bring items back with them), small purses, and other random finds. I picked up a few Christmas presents while there and will definitely keep Pearls and Cake in mind for future gifts for girlfriends, weddings, or the occasional ‘just because’ gift. Not only do they have quality items to offer but also at reasonable prices. Whether you are looking for something on a tight budget or a more extravagant item you’re sure to find it here. Very pleased with my shopping experience!

I love this place! I stopped by on my walk home from work a month ago and had a lovely chat with the woman working that afternoon. I’ve stopped by since and bought some unique blue seashell earrings. They have nice, cheap earrings(most are $ 15) and, of course, tons of pearls. Their pearls range from freshwater pearl bracelets for $ 8(!) to luxurious strands of all colors. A great place for gifts!

I stumbled across this place purely by accident and was so thrilled I did! I bought a beautiful earring and necklace set as a gift for my Mom and of course something for myself too :) The prices are amazing even for costume jewelry(which I loooove) and a lot of it looks A LOT more expensive than it really is. That’s the mark of a good product. I dare you to walk in here and not buy something.

I love their jewelry and the girls are so much fun. I just acquired a beautiful multistrand pearl bracelet and I can’t wait to wear it. It’s a great place for beautiful jewelry, the holidays are coming so start shopping for your friends. MEN: if you want nice stuff, you can shop here for your special women.

I live on Roscoe and had never been in here til’ this weekend. My dad spotted a necklace in here after eating at john’s place that he wanted to buy my mom. He assumed it was a few hundred dollars, when we went in to check it out, it was $ 25. unreal. they have some really pretty pieces and nice selection. I am not big on costume jewelry(i like the real mccoy) but for gifts and weddings etc, they had a great selection and even better pricing!

I’m strolling down Roscoe on a beautiful, sunny April Saturday when I see the sign for Pearls and Cake. Not sure if they sell jewelry or baked goods, but how can I go wrong either way? I like pearls. I like cake. In I go. This store sells the widest variety of pearls and pearl jewelry I’ve seen this side of India. Necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings — chunky, seed, delicate — all the colors and styles you could hope for. The walls are covered with pictures of famous women in pearls — Michelle Obama, Audrey Hepburn — anyone you’d hope to emulate in your jewelry selections. Prices ranged from too-cheap-to-pass-up($ 5 bracelet!) to more«special occasion»(gorgeous creations mixing pearls with other precious and semi-precious stones). At the register, I was about to say that I didn’t need a bag for my purchase(I’m green chic!), but then I saw the bags… So cute — totally reusable as a gift bag. I took one(and promise to reuse it!). Another plus was the guy behind the counter. I’m pretty sure if I worked at a jewelry store I’d cringe when any child entered my domain. In the short time I was there, two of the romper-room set came and went, and Mr. Pearls and Cake scarcely batted an eyelash. Kudos to you, sir!
