Had two shirts ruined, nothing was done to refund my service or replace the shirts. Not worth my time, will be going somewhere else.

I have a problem… a compulsion… an addiction to shoes.
And Chicago is a walking town, thru snow and salted asphalt and rain and metal grates! My poor Choos! Oh, how I abuse them!
Do you know how difficult it is to find a shoe repair place that does not cost as much as a new pair of shoes to re-​sole boots, replace heel pads on high heels, re-​stitch that seam that keeps unraveling on your beloved flats? Here it is $ 26.00 and if you Unilocalsters can find a better bargain please let me know– because the craftsmanship rendered here on my repaired shoes makes them look brand new!

It’s only fair to mention that I don’t use this cleaners regularly – I used them in a pinch while visiting from out of town. But they totally went out of their way to save me.
It was Friday, and I was to stand up as MOH in my best girlfriend’s wedding the following day. Having flown my dress in with me on the plane, I needed a last minute steam, and a hook/​eye had come loose too. Two semi-​emergencies. When we arrived, the woman behind the counter explained that steaming is done off-​site, and that orders had already gone out for the day. Uh… oh. After several minutes of hemming and hawing, the woman convinced us that if we could drive my dress to the steaming location, 10 minutes away, they could get it back in the store later that same day. This of course made me *incredibly* nervous, the wedding being less than 24 hours away, but the woman was very reassuring. She even thought to stitch the hook/​eye first, so that she wouldn’t wrinkle the dress up again after it had been steamed.
We found the off-​site launderer with ease (they were expecting us because the woman at location #1 had called ahead to explain), and the dress was back at the original drop off location by 7 PM that day, steamed to perfection. Crisis averted. Thank you, Parkway Cleaners & Tailors!

The guy who owns/​works here is so nice, so I feel bad writing this but…
DONT LET HIM TAILOR YOUR CLOTHES! he sewn my shirt TOGETHER! Hemmed a work skirt too short.
Also, returned my 200 dollar skirt with HOLE in it after dry cleaning it!!!
one more thing… put little holes in skirts when hanging them from the hanger, totally stretching them out.
he is very nice, but I would never go back.

I brought in two pairs of pants and they did a great job hemming them. Though, the price was a bit much.
2 Stars for the Dry Cleaning
Dry cleaning is dry cleaning. Unless a place does a terrible job, there’s not much comparison. So, I was astounded when I took in your average cotton-​blend button-​downs and they severely overcharged me. I could have gone down the road to CD One cleaners for ¹⁄₃ of the price.
