This was my first non-​Toyota service experience in the 11 years since I’ve owned my RAV4. AAA recommended this shop. I took my car in for 5k interval maintenance service and inspection for recommendations. After 2 ½ hours of waiting I was informed of recommendations. No service had been performed during this time! From the recommendations two additional services were elected — replace tire rod and air filter. Almost three more hours later I was told my car was ready. Upon starting, there was a strong rumbling vibration and noise! The tire pressure light was also on. I reported the issues and after another ½ hour I drove my vehicle away with no intention of ever returning. My sun visor was also bent and dirty but I’ll suck it up as a loss and lesson learned. While there, the few times I inquired about my car I was told it was almost ready. I would have been more understanding if they kept me informed along the way of any issues that would prolong the time of these basic services.

I brought my Mazda 5 in to get a trailer hitch installed. The instruction sheet says it should take a professional 45 minutes to install. (

They charged me 5 hours. ($ 425). The quality of the work seems fine, and they did give me a nice key chain and mug, but I can’t imagine why it took so long.
I don’t think I will return.

Two times I have took my car in and both times treated with kindness and respect. Brakes went out they gave me a car to get home. Car always ready when they said it would be.

1^st time here on the recommendation of a friend. I have a 07 Chevy Uplander. Before he even test drove it he was pretty sure of what the problem I was describing was. I had been to two repair shops prior and they could not tell me. Service was prompt and friendly. I had my van back in about three hours. Very grateful!!!

not take ur vehicles here people they take 4 ever and still dont fix the problem. They dont even know what theyre doing it seems. My husband and I toke our 2006 truck in for a battery drainage problem and somehow and 4 sum reason they toke apart the door and completely broke the side mirrors little motor and the some of the door lineage (plastic thing that holds it together) they didnt even apologize or mention it (like we werent gonna notice) and when we complained, this one mechanic was trying to do right by us, but they couldnt do anythiing about it (something they messed up in) bcuz they were busy and we had to bring it back in A WEEK later during a weekday to fix it. WHAT?! I was outraged both of us work, go tot school and are busy adults! and this was something we needed to drive safely, not just a cosmetic flaw… so my husband had to take it somewhere else and had it fixed the same day and we had to pay out of pocket which they would not reimbursed. we had to take my truck back there 3 xs! one of the times, (I believe it was the 1^st time) they called us 4 days later saying it was
husband went after rushing cuz they close so early, he paid, they handed him the keys and the truck wouldnt turn on. He goes back inside and this guy Miguel I lieve was his name is like u sure?(seriously? no I just wanted to come back in and talk to u) he goes out and just says it was working fine a the DAYS b4 that day.(so for how many days u guys keep the cars for? makes me think is not to examine them, but to overcharge apparently) they keep it for maybe 5 more days. we bring it back, 3 days later, it dies.3^rd time it was just ridiculous bcuz its not like they were being fast
finally my husband sppoke tothe owner and he had to reimburse us the monies paid bcuz apparently theyre mechanics were not capable of fixing it. That wasnt all, my husband had the brilliant idea of leaving our other car for a simple problem maybe the 2 x we left the truck and to make a very long story short, the owner reimbursed us that money also. and come on u guys u know how businesses feel about reimbursments, they give u all this crap about them spending time on it, looking at it tryin to figure it out (which is something we cant deny, well maybe in this case we can bcuz it looked like they were just charging the battery putting it in and giving us back the truck w/​o really looking 4 the reason why this was happening) but they actually gave us back a FULL REFUND for both cars. that act by itself says aloooot. I honestly dont believe they would of reimbursed us fully if they actually worked onthe car, but they did, which convinced us more they probably just let cars sit around or fix the issues superficially instead of really getting into it. Oh and 4 the record, we toke both cars to our regular mechanic (who charged a fraction of what they did) and he PERMANENTLY fixed the problem in about a day and a half.(only reason we dodnt go there 1^st was bcuz they CLAIM to specialize in electrical problems, which our mechanic does not) save not only ur money people but also ur time go somewhere else unless u want to make this place ur second home.Literally.

I’m impressed! Honest mechanic for once in Chicago! I thought I needed new brakes and they told me I have 60% left and cleaned the rear brakes. Very reasonable price! Thank you!

Good mechanics. Customer service could be better. Didn’t honor coupon sent to my home, saying I hadn’t spent $ 50, but mailing contained no mention of spending minimum.

Fair pricing, friendly and professional staff, upfront pricing. I needed my transmission fixed and I was given a couple of options. Car was ready ahead of time. Will definitely do business with them again, just hope it isn’t too soon.

Per the recommendation of AAA, I was sent here to repair my 1990 Jeep Cherokee. I had passed this place several times assuming that it was just another shady mechanic on the southside. upon entering their office, it was a relief to see all their certifications and awards for their quality and service. They were very honest about the problems with my jeep and only fixed what I asked them to (and ave me the costs prior to the work) without forcing any other expensive work on me. The labor rate is pretty reasonable and muh better than I have seen on the northside. They even offered me a ride home!
It’s such a breath of fresh air to find a mechanic you can trust. I’ll most likely be going to them for all future maintenance and repairs.

I’ve been here a couple times for an oil change and once to change my timing belt. I like these guys. I think they are completely competent, trustworthy, and they do a good job. One of the guys who works behind the front desk (Miguel I think) is particularly accommodating and will take you back to the shop to show you what they are doing. They do not try to push unneeded repairs on you, they just do what is necessary. During holidays, they give away calendars and keyrings. It seems like a nice, honest family business, which is why I like them so much.
