Papa John’s Pizza

Sunday night pizza success. Ordered and paid online, pizza was delivered in 25 mins. Everything came fresh and as ordered. Almost didn’t use Papa Johns because of the previous bad reviews… but I’m glad we did and I think they deserve more stars :)

Fool me once…
I’ve ordered from this Papa John’s twice, both times going for my beloved buffalo chicken pizza. Both times the pizza arrived without any buffalo sauce on it. Like, what are they doing over there? Do they look at the pizzas before they get delivered?
I haven’t had issues with delivery times, but today the pizza was woefully undercooked. Had a hard time cutting through the dough. If you’re going to make me finish cooking it, at least give me a discount :)
Will definitely never order from this location again… hopefully there’s another within delivery range.

I ordered 2 pizzas at 8:45. 9:45 and still no pizza. I called and the staff was so unhelpful. They told me after some time that they would move me to next in line. I called again at 10:45 and we somehow were bumped to third and they didn’t care. Horrid service. $ 36, 2.5 hours, and no pizza.

They are quick and if they forget something they are quick to redeliver and are very apologetic.

We ordered 2 pizza and it took them an hour and 40 minutes to deliver it. We were told they would deliver it in an hour. It wasn’t the first time either. This place is very unorganized and they never keep their word. No more Papa johns for me.

Absolutley terrible! 2 hours for 1 medium pizza and the driver left 45 minutes ago. 0 customer service and the drivers phone is going to voicemail. I asked to speak with a manger and guess what, I was already speaking to him. Children run this place, never again will I order from here! Wouldn’t even give 1 star if I didn’t have too!

My roommate and I order from this place at least a few times a month. I have had both delivery and pick up and have had great experiences. Its good Papa Johns pizza, the cheese bread it great for a cheap dinner and the dessert pizza is amazing.

This is the worst papa johns ever. Ordered here 4 times (only because it is a block away) and each time they find a new way to either mess up my order or forget to make my order completely (this has happened twice).

I know… it’s Papa John’s, what do I expect? Seriously though, take your orders elsewhere. Thought I would relive my college years, so I placed an order on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30pm for one order of 12″ cheese sticks. It was estimated to be delivered between 4:40 — 4:50pm (which I thought was a bit long for 1 little pizza, but ok). At 5pm, I still had no pizza, so I called. The person on the phone was not apologetic for the order being late, just saying it would be there. The order showed up after 5pm (nearly 90 minutes after ordering) and the cheese was already hardened and luke warm at best, like it had been sitting out for quite a while. Come on. Do better.

Ordered three different times. They screwed up each time, forgetting to cook some of our food. Pizza was half assed and the garlic parmesan breadsticks are not made right. They’re gross. The people who work there don’t seem to understand simple requests when it comes to their simple job. It is just steps from my friend’s house so it’s convenient but I will never go back.

This location was cited by streets and sanitation for their filth and inability to clean it up! Do not patronize! You are better off dumpster diving.

I haven’t had any problems with delivery from this place. Pizza has been consistent in quality like any other Papa John’s.

This place blows. Horrible customer service, no attention to detail (people’s orders), crappy cold food.

Yeah… I know, I know… I’m writing a review about Papa John’s which is a waste of everyone’s time for every conceivable reason.
But I feel compelled to tell you, nay, warn you. I made that shameful plunge into bad pizza for less cash. The commercial came on. I was high. I say ‘Wow, that’s really cheap for a pizza, and it sure LOOKS good’. That’s how they get ya. For some reason I thought the Cheeseburger pizza I saw on the advert was going to be a good eclectic change of pace.
Never, never, NEVER follow my lapse in reason on this. I will forever be scarred by this sick, awful nasty, vile, perversion of a nightmare creation from the island of Dr. Moreau.
If I’m not being clear: DEAR GOD DO NOT EAT THE CHEESE BURGER PIZZA. Or any pie from this place. You’ve been warned.

Absolutely horrible! Id rather starve than order from here again. Let me tell you about the kind of people that work here. I ordered a pizza around 1230am and was quoted 65 to 75 minutes. I called to make sure that they were delivering because it was snowing and they said yep, we are still delivering. I planned on giving the driver a big tip because of the weather. My friends and I waited 65 to 75 minutes and nothing came. I called Papa Johns and no one picked up. We then continued to wait for 1.5 more hours thinking the weather was to blame. Surely our order was on our way? We paid for it and no one had called to cancel. Well the pizza never came. I had to call in the morning to follow up. Turns out that they had canceled our order and never told us. I asked the manager to follow up and she said she’d call me back in a rude manner. No one called me back so I called again the next day and spoke to a different manager. They said someone would follow up. Four days passed and I complained online and the next day I get a call from a manager saying she had called me to discuss and that someone had called me to cancel the order. No you did not! You didn’t leave a voicemail. Nothing! Lying to save their butts and sweep the problem under the rug. Disgusted! Stay away people. These people are liars and will do anything for them to be right Happy early new years! Working tonight so I’m telling you early haha the customer be wrong.

I don’t believe I’ve ever had a worse customer service experience than with the manager of this Papa John’s. It was a rainy Tuesday night and we had ordered five pizza’s for a large group. An hour later, no pizza. I call them up and they say the delivery driver hasn’t even picked up the pizza’s from the store yet, but he should have them to us in the next 20 minutes or so.
Another hours passes (for the non-​math majors, we’re at two hours since the order) so I call again asking where my pizza’s are. Oh, they’re still not even picked up? Joy! Please allow me to converse with your manager, says I. I say it’s been over two hours and it’s a Tuesday night with no extenuating circumstances like a major sporting event, so what’s the deal? He says it’s rainy (no, NO! NOT RAIN!) and he only has one delivery driver, so the pizzas will be there when they get there. Okay, well, that’s not my fault, and I sure don’t appreciate the ‘tude. I may have begun using some choice four letter words at this point. I didn’t ask to be reimbursed, or get a coupon or anything for the future, I said I wanted my pizzas. At this point, the manager, a customer service aficionado if there ever was one, used his own choice words with me and hung up.
Not only will I never order from this Papa John’s again, but every Papa John’s has lost my business for good. For the sake of completeness, the pizza arrived just after the two and a half hour mark.

***Shortly after posting this, I received a message from the owner apologizing, stating that changes were being made at this location, and he provided me with a code for a free pizza. We’re going to give it another go and see what happens, but at least they made it right!***
My husband and I were thrilled when this location opened up, as now we could get our favorite delivery pizza! We’ve ordered from here many times, and usually always been happy. The delivery guys were nice and timely, and our orders were always correct and still warm.
However, recently we had a terrible experience. On a particularly busy night for them, we ordered a pizza, cheesy breadsticks and a cinnamon pizza. When the delivery guy arrived, he apologized that the pizza was smashed — he said they were out of the plastic things that keep the pizza box from collapsing on the pizza because of all the orders. He told me to call in and talk to the manager, and they would comp us for the pizza. (the delivery guy was great and very apologetic)
The pizza was indeed smashed. 75% of the toppings were on the lid of the box, and the two garlic butters had busted open and soaked the pizza. I called in immediately and talked to the manager. He told me that he couldn’t comp me, but that he’d send me a coupon in the mail for our exact order.
Yeah, it never came. I even checked with him that he knew our name and address (which he repeated to me). This is very disappointing. We are good customers and when a pizza was ruined they just didn’t step up.
We still like Papa Johns pizza for affordable delivery, but this location has left a bad taste in our mouths.

My friend and I were pretty thrilled when we found out this place opened (literally between where we live) and we went there a few times in the first week of its opening. The quality of the pizza is the same as every other PJs on the earth. You get what you expect.
What we were debating for a while was the caliber of the employees there. Many of them didn’t know how to operate the computer/​register at all which added to ours (and others’) waiting times. I know it’ll sound shallow, but looking around I wondered if this PJs was operating under some sort of program for people that are… «slow»
Nevertheless, it’s close and it’s a quick and easy way to get pizza that you expect.

Wow, I know this place is not high-​end pizza but I’m kind of surprised by the negative reviews. I don’t always want to drop $ 25 for a quick pizza fix so this place serves needs well in my experience. I’ve ordered from here 5 or 6 times now and every time but one the order has been correct and as good as I expect from a chain pizzeria. The one time they did make an error they had a new pizza to my door in about 20 min.
They staff has been nice when I have gone in for a pick up also.

Why is it protocol to have to most unruly and disrespectful person operating the phones? I swear it is almost a restaurant inside joke played on the consumer.
Anywho, despite my sweet experience with the young woman answering the phone and her inability to answer my question concerning my online order. The pizza was prepared perfectly, and the sweaty hipster delivery person read the order back to me, which we truly appreciate. Way to go fella, we thank you for that. Maybe Piece should take some lessons from you on how to deliver a pizza.
I am not saying Papa Johns is better pizza than Piece so save your responses, I am just saying the delivery guys do not care because they are so superior because they deliver for the all and mighty Piece. Still delivery people, get over it.
