Absolutely delicious. I stuck with the basic strawberry… but already thinking about what to order the next time we go(because there most definitely WILL be a next time.) Butter Pecan… no Pineapple… Coconut? They all sound delicious. There was a guy who came in with a cooler and ordered 2 dozen. I may have to do that next time!

I’m not sure what’s better, the paleta, or the hunt for the paletero??? Anyway, although Pancho’s paleteros don’t role up north too often,(my current stomping grounds), i always search for Pancho’s if I’m back on the south side. Who could resist the water or milk based delights? Plus, at less than $ 1.50 each, you can’t go wrong.

Panchos Ice Cream is by far the best ice cream bar I ever had ! The owner was very polite and offered many samples to me. I brought in my coolier and I got 3 dozen bars and I enjoyed them all. Very clean place and dispite the normal hours of opening the owner opened the door for me even tho I was there 45 mins early and welcomed me as a family member I was very pleased with the warm welcome. Its worth the trip to go there in the morning. I traviel from tinley park to get my fix and you should as well.

YES… YES…folks this is the spot for your paletas(ice cream bars). I have been going here for all of my 29 years. I have photos when I was 1 yrs old eating a paleta on 26th/Millard from the Pancho’s paleteros(street ice cream vendors). There are two version you can order«de agua(water)» or «de leche(milk)». Paleta flavors to name a few are Coconut, Strawberry, Mango, Butter Pecan, Vanilla, Jamaica, Water melon, Pineapple and the list goes on and on. I usually bring a cooler with dry ice and purchase anywhere from 75 – 100 bars in one visit. Pancho’s could charge so much more for their paletas and I would pay it! This place is not expensive and I only wish there was one in the suburbs.
