Katie is the BEST, my pedicure was awesome I don’t know where they got them or what kind of bowls these are but the temperature remains the same throughout, that’s a definite plus! Reasonably priced for downtown. Easy appointment scheduling online had an appointment within an hour.

What lovely service provided by Katie! I’m from Texas and she was able to help me out with an appt on the same day. She provided great restaurant suggestions and helped with directions. Shop is up the stairs from Van Cleef. Also had brows waxed by Eva! Nice atmosphere. Will go back on my next visits to Chicago!

Nuts About Nails was awesome! I booked online after purchasing a groupon. They’re located in the Gold Coast area, which is pretty convenient for me from work. You go uptairs in a spa to get to the nail salon, and are treated by an awesome nail technician. Katie was great— personable and professional, nice and clean. My mani-pedi was done pretty much right on time, and took 4+ days before it started chipping. She had a great attention to detail. I loved the online booking process too!

Thank you Groupon for introducing me to one of the best mani/pedi’s in Chicago. Katie took her time and definitely felt like I was having a girls day chatting with her, reading magazines, and enjoying a little rest and relaxation time. I will definitely come back here again and highly recommend it.

I’ve been Katie’s client for over a year. There is a reason I followed her from her last salon to this one! She is not only the BEST manicurist I’ve ever had, but is also incredibly kind and helpful. As someone who is REALLY picky about the appearance of her nails/polish, I love knowing that I am in good hands with Katie. Polish selection is excellent and pricing very reasonable. Highly recommend!

A very nice experience. I bought a Groupon and the place was very nice. The owner Katie did it very patiently and I loved the overall experience. My hands and feet look lovely.

This place is GREAT! I bought a mani/pedi deal through Groupon, and was really pleasantly surprised with the services(as you probably know, deal purchases can be hit or miss). Katie, the main manicurist, is very kind and friendly. She also did a great and thorough job. My pedicure, which I got 6 days ago now, looks like it was done about an hour ago. It took almost 4 days for my manicure to chip at all(unheard of for non-chip manis). I would absolutely recommend this salon. The only reason why I’m not giving 5-stars is because its non-Groupon services are pricey– while it certainly fits the average Gold Coast/River North prices, I can’t typically afford them on a regular basis.

I heard about Nuts About Nails from Groupon($ 35 deal for a regular mani-pedi) and decided to give it a try, even though I was a little nervous at first about the lack of reviews I found online. I’m so glad I decided to check it out; I was really impressed with the service, atmosphere, and cleanliness of the salon. The polish: I saw a lot of Essie, OPI, and CND Shellac. Great, high quality nail polishes. Tip: be sure to look around the corner from the polishes right by the door! I only saw the 50 or so by the door and not the 100+ polishes by the other wall. I found the shades I wanted anyway, but might as well check out everything they have! The service: Katie was incredibly friendly and sweet. She really took her time cutting my cuticles(no nicks or blood!), cleaning up nail polish gone astray, and even helping me find a perfect nude shade for my fingers. The hand/foot massages were on the weaker side but everything else was so great that I can’t really complain. Expect around 1.5−2 hours for a regular mani-pedi. The décor/cleanliness: Super cute and so CLEAN. There are two seats for pedicures and two for manicures. Well lit room, hardwood floors, and the pedicure chairs are obviously new(and thus don’t have that funky smell that older ones seem to collect). The price: Regular price for a mani-pedi is $ 50, which seems to be market rate and very fair. For the $ 35 Groupon price it was a steal. How to get here: Enter the first floor of the building(the storefront is for a hair salon) and ring the bell on the right to be buzzed in. Head up the stairs and you’re right there! As a student I don’t usually splurge on mani-pedis, but when I do I will be coming back to Nuts About Nails.
