This is a corner grocery store to pick up a few items if you are in a hurry. They have a limited supply of food, but have quite the selection of alcohol beverages from wines and beers to liquor. The staff seems friendly, but they watch you like a hawk as you walk around. If you just need a quick liquor this is your place to go, but not for general merchandise. Mariano’s is not far away.

Decent selection and convenient but cannot deal with the security«shadowing» whenever I visit here. I feel very uncomfortable whenever I visit this place and just can’t understand why they don’t invest in a better camera system if they are worried about theft.

If I didn’t live next door, I’d never shop at this store. Each time I go to Miskas thinking«maybe this time they will have what I need» I’m disappointed. Sometimes what I need is a little customer service and neighborhood recognition. Nada, as the stock person at Miskas with a degree in English as a second language would say. I ordered a keg a month in advance and got the run around until the 11th hour and never got the keg. I went in for olives, they were out(for weeks). I bought eggs on a pinch, they were expired. They were out of 12 packs, so I asked if I could buy two six packs for the twelves price, nope. Told them I’d make it a point to buy from Binny’s as I overpaid for a 12 pack, the response was«credit or debit?». This place is mismanaged and the employee turnover is atrocious. The guy at the deli is pleasant, and other than him, to hell with the rest. One star for deli guy, one star for Roscoe Village tax revenue. I will avoid them whenever possible.

I use this place for late night snacks. It’s convenient and clean but I will admit the deli strikes me as odd but hey why not put a deli in a liquor store lol. The guys that work there are really friendly and have the patience of an angel with some of the customers I’ve seen in there, more than I do just being another customer. Selection for food and stuff is rather limited but the liquor selection is a good size, overall a good corner store and better than the bodegas further west on belmont

I like my martinis dirty. I would expect a liquor store to have olives and/or brine. They had one jar of olives that looked like overgrown peas. Here’s the deal. If I have to get in a car to go get garnishments and, in the case of a dirty martini, essential ingredients elsewhere, I’m going to want to minimize the number of trips and Miskas isn’t the go to store for that one stop liquor shop. What the hell is the toilet paper, can of mushrooms and Windex have to do with a liquor store? Nice add if you did the rest well. The guy behind the counter told me I could go to the store down the street for decent olives. Good suggestion.

I really like this store. In addition to being a really well stocked liquor store, it’s also a deli and convenience store with produce, dairy, and random goods you forgot you needed. When I walked into Miskas on a Sunday afternoon, I was going in to buy a bottle of water. I left with almond milk, toilet paper, ginger beer, and deodorant – DONTJUDGE! I ran out and you don’t want me being all funky. The staff is super friendly and didn’t laugh at me when I cam back twice within 10 minutes because I forgot the water I went in there to buy. Overall, a well stocked liquor store with friendly employees and items to help you maintain your personal hygiene.

HUGE store, amazing selection. It’s nice that they carry other goodies in a pinch too, beyond just liquor. I don’t think the prices are any sort of deal, but I’m willing to pay for the convenience.

Love this place. Great selection and great prices. I bought a case of Dos Equis for the same price as it is at Jewel Osco. It’s spacious and clean. The manager, Devin is knowledgeable and super nice.

One of the more underrated Microbrew, liquor, and wine sellers in the city. Selection is great in all three phases. I often find beer and liquor that is hard to come by at other places(Three Floyd’s, top shelf whisky). Prices are reasonable and they almost always have great deals on domestic beer and popular liquor. Also operates as a convenience store of sorts, having A LOT of floor space and inventory. There’s also a Deli on the way.

For those of us that had been there before it’s no wonder it was closed down for so long. Not anything like it’s sister store 1000 Liquors on belmont/sheffield.

HALLELUJAH!!! I am BEYOND happy there is a corner store in the neighborhood. I’ve lived here for a few years and there was nothing even close to Miska’s. What do you want… beer, wine, water, papertowels, tp, salsa, chips, ice-cream. They have all of it! I love stores that cater to several everyday needs and Miska’s is right on the mark. The deli isn’t open yet but I’m sure it will be amazing. The staff is super friendly and they have an ATM! Another thumbs up b/c there are few and far between in this area.

Since I moved I’m no longer close to my favorite discount liquor store, so that meant finding a new one. I remembered someone telling me that Miska was a good place for deals on liquor. Off I went to see for myself. The store is larger than I thought, bright, clean, and well stocked. I found everything I needed without looking like a mouse trapped in a maze. They have some specials that are well marked, so definitely look for those. Also, I don’t believe it’s advertised, but if you buy more than 6 bottles of wine they give you a 10% discount on all bottles.
