I’ve gone here dozens of times and it was always a good bet for lunch. Mezza’s salads were my mainstay — most of the time I had the Chopped Salad with spicy chicken, but you can’t go wrong with any of the others. The pitas were always great, too. The Chicken Caesar was my personal favorite — very tasty. Soups are excellent, too — the Lentil or White Bean Chicken Chili varieties made a great side for a wrap or salad. Mezza is a great lunch place with tasty(and at least somewhat healthy) food. Just be prepared to have to navigate a cramped and awkward service area if you show up during the peak lunch hour.

I visited today and learned that they have taken the grilled vegetable skewer of the menu. I was fairly disappointed as I am a vegetarian and this menu item was a big draw for me. Though Falafel is still an option, it’s not my favorite and I rather not have a fried item. Also, I feel that this location’s food preparation is not up to par with the location at 225 Michigan. Anyway, thought I would write this to let others know of the changes. For Mezza, I wish you brought the item back.

Mezza is a great place for lunch in the West Loop. It is conveniently located by my office. I frequently enjoy the salads here. The chicken in the salads is high quality and tasty. During the lunch rush, when the line snakes around the place, you are in-and-out quickly and efficiently.

The food is good although i dont know why they think its a good idea to put olives with pits in a wrap. I almost broke my tooth upon first bite. The line moves fast but the staff is kind of rude and mess up my order often because they dont pay attention to what the order is and they are basically just dumping stuff on your order faster than you can say«uh please dont put chicken on my veggie wrap». Rude people but conveinant fast and decent.

This is my go-to lunch spot. Great prices and the mezza salad is amazing! I always do the salad or kebab platter with brown rice. Always fresh and fast. Be warned, seating is limited during lunch, but worth a short wait.

I really love this place and everything on the menu is great. I eat here once or twice a week. Salads and chicken kabob pita are my favorites. Food is very tasty and fresh. A little pricey, a combo will run you about 9 bucks but it’s worth it.

had some of the best salad options. I had a chicken salad with avacado, so delicious. The place needs more seating. Good luck trying to get in during the lunch rush. overall will come back outside of lunch time!

There was a time when I’d grab lunch here nearly 2 – 3 times a week, and it currently stands as my go-to backup spot. The food is very fresh, delicious, highly customizable and quick to order. Sure, the layout isn’t the best but I feel the storefront uses the space as well as it can; they occupy a narrow strip at the very end of the 2 North Riverside ramp. Two different lines for salads vs. wraps allows for speedier service, even if it occasionally means people have to scoot past others in a seemingly arbitrary manner. This is a grab-and-go location, no nonsense(or seating, for that matter). Portions are substantial and prices are quite reasonable for the quality. Definitely try out Mezza if you’re tired of settling for limp and gray fast«food» during your lunch break.

I think that the Lamb and Beef Shawirma on a Pita might be the best sandwich ever! One condition though, ask for feta instead of the standard shredded cheese.

I was looking for an alternative place to eat for lunch. Since the location of this place is so out of sight for me I always forget to come through here. I’ve made this my place to go once a week for the past 2 – 3 weeks. I’ve only ordered the Spicy Chicken Pita and its so filling that I can’t eat much throughout the day. The babe ordered the Chicken Cesar salad and he loved it. The staff is for the most part pretty decent could be a bit more friendly but hey whatever not looking to strike up a conversation with anyone.

Food is great, but the setup of the place is such a clusterfuck that you are hit with anxiety as soon as you step through the door during a lunch rush. Want a salad? Well, you’re going to have to go to THAT line. Need utensils? You have to push your way through the entering lunch crowd to get to them. Whoever designed this place did not do so with efficiency in mind. Also, just for the record, if you’re going to make a wrap, could you actually WRAP it? And I don’t mean just throwing some chicken/lettuce/tomatoes onto a pita and folding in in half. If I’m going to order a wrap, I’d rather not have to eat it with a fork.

Mezza has great salads, best I’ve had in the loop for lunch. Everything is fresh tasting and the service is fast and great. I highly recommend their shrimp and chopped salads.

I love this place. I eat here probably once a week. They have pitas, wraps and salads with your choice of toppings. You simply can’t go wrong with with a pita or wheat wrap filled with either their spicy chicken, spit fire roasted chicken or grilled steak! Their hummus, falafel, rice and cookies are delicious too! Btw, if you ever want some extra meat, do what I do… ask for two types of meats… for example just say«can I get a wheat wrap with half spicy chicken and half chicken shwarma»… this usually this turns into almost double the typical meat portion! :-)

I’m just going to make this simple. The food is good, but you get very little. I had the Mezzateranian Salad and I had to ask for more chicken. I’m always too shy to ask for adjustments, but this an exception. Next comes the price, way overpriced. $ 9 for a Chicken salad… should have gone to salad spinners. My co-worker ordered the vegetable kabob… you mean limited vegetable kabob. Overpriced. Small portions. Good Food. ************** UPDATE I’ve tried many other menu items since and I am actually quite a fan of Mezza now. I am 98% sure they have increased the portion size of their salads and entrée. I’ve done most of their Chicken Pita Sandwiches and love them all. I’m sorry Mezza for the negative review above but I love you now and took the time to update :)
