I would like to state 2 things before I get into this. 1) I’m shaken up, and 2) I’ve been here twice before without incident. Today, however, leaves me no choice but to leave a 1 Star review. I live a block away, and like to come to local taverns that are dog friendly. So, we brought our dog in. My husband has brought our dog once or twice before, so we thought «No problem!» Today, as I walked in with my dog, another dog ran up and attacked him. Listen, if you’re going to be a ‘Dog friendly bar’, you have to make sure you have friendly dogs. Period. And when it happened, both the owner and bartender were like, «Yep! He’s aggressive!». More fault lies with the owner. Your dog should NOT BE OFF LEASH if it’s aggressive. At all, ever, if you’re taking it to a place where other dogs could potentially be. But if (as seems the case), you as a bartender or owner are AWARE that the dog is aggressive, it is up to YOU to ensure that your OTHER patrons and THEIR pets are safe. As this does not seem to be the case here, it gets 1 star. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE.

A true Chicago neighborhood bar – dedicated to the regulars – if you’ll come a few times, the bartenders learn who you are and they take care of you.
If you’re rude or unnecessarily needy, you’ll be called out. Some people don’t like that. But if you want basic drinks, a warm environment and a nice place, Memories is perfect.
2 dollar High Life drafts at all times. And everything is more than reasonably priced.

Living near memories, I was hoping for a good watering hole within walking distance. So far, no luck. The clientele is just not my bag. One guy spit on the floor in front of the bartender and he didn’t say anything. Doubt I’ll be back.

just a small bar in Chicago’s North side. Nothing of note or special about this bar. Not really much beer on tap and mostly one of those places with bottles and cans for sale.

It is your basic neighborhood tavern with a very welcoming atmosphere, filled with regulars enjoying their drinks. Friendly clientele and bartenders. If you’re looking for a down home, regular neighborhood joint to hang out in check this place out.
