Yikes. I went here for dinner and drinks over the weekend and was not impressed. The service was extremely slow and the food was very, very subpar. For instance, their traditional-style burger had a burnt/charred taste that left a bitter aftertaste and the whole thing was drowning in sauce. I also didn’t enjoy the atmosphere– there was an uneasy vibe and it seemed like the place was trying too hard to be ‘hip’. Plus, the prices are expensive(their $ 16 steak salad is the size of a side salad and is topped with a few slices of steak, raw tomatoes, and some cheese…). I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Where do I begin? I went here with my date on a Thursday night expecting great food and craft beer. From the moment we walked in I could tell this would be an interesting dinner. We were the only people in the entire bar, aside from the 2 regulars watching the basketball game, and the food took OVER45MINUTES to prepare. Finally, the result was a burnt to the crisp Mason burger and mason sliders. The truly funny part was that we both ordered medium rare. The burger was uneatable, so my date and I took two bites and asked for the check. Another 15 minutes later we were finally able to get out of this abandoned tragedy of a restaurant. The whole ordeal lasted over an hour and a half! THISPLACECOULDBEGREATFORBARRESCUE!

Used a Groupon here for the bottomless brunch option, which initially came across as a good deal and indeed was good value for money. As the girlfriend and I walked in, there was a bartender running the show on his own. We opted for the mimosas, which were standard and nothing to write home about. Being an aspiring mixologist myself, I believe this classic breakfast cocktail could’ve been a lot crispier. In terms of food, I had the breakfast burger which was nothing special and the plate it was served on was quite small and didn’t make for a very comfortable eating experience as my fries dropped out of the plate. On the other hand, my girlfriend ordered the Butcher’s Skillet and she seemed to like it. The bartender/server was personable but not quite efficient but nothing against him as he had a few tables to look after and a bar to manage in his own. All in all, a reasonably priced brunch experience but not quite tempted to go back anytime soon.

Something very strange about this place. My guest and I were the only people in the restaurant on a weekday night. There must have been 6 – 8 different faces of people that walked out the back/kitchen area. Just odd for a small restaurant on a very low key night. There was a group of people that clearly were employees on their computers in one of the booths. Just a very strange vibe in that place. The Gastropub that turns into a nightclub is a weird dynamic. I was hoping for it to actually be a really cool Gastropub, but judging from the other reviews it sounds like it turns into an underage drugfest nightclub. The menu seems awesome when you first sit down. The food was just so so. I’d give it 3 stars on the food. There was an empty tampon container on the ground that we noticed as we were leaving at 6:30 pm(when they had only been open for a little while that weekday night). I won’t be going back because the place just gave me the creeps. Maybe I’m just overreacting. Or maybe I’m not.

This is probably my favorite Gastropub in the city. We walked in on a Friday night & were immediately greeted by a hostess. Great food, sliders were on point!

I’m divided. I tried coming here once with a friend and it was like a club on a Sunday night. A sunday night. DJ lights, impossibly loud music, young looking people. I came here on another night and had dinner. The food was good. The drinks were a dollar or two more than I’d expect but that’s no big deal. The cocktails were good. However, I feel like this place is still figuring itself out. I really just am having a hard time with the fact that this place is trying to be too many things at once. You have Gastropub in your name. You’re right near Café Ba Ba Reeba and a french restaurant. Why are trying to act like a club and a gastropub? FOCUS, Mason. Focus.

My bff and I came here for brunch using a Groupon. The service and the food were okay. We both ordered the chicken and waffles, the waffles tasted strange, maybe the batter wasn’t mixed well or they used too much baking soda/powder or too much flour, but we did not care for them. The chicken was moist and very flavorful. The mimosa’s were very weak. I will not be back for brunch, but maybe for dinner or lunch and with a Groupon.

I don’t mind loud music, but this place is over the top loud daily with usually just 3 people inside… The louder the music doesn’t mean more guests.

My wife and I went on a Sunday with a Groupon deal for bottomless bloody Mary’s and mimosas with a meal. Contrary to what I’m reading from other reviews, our service was prompt and the food was good and well cooked, though admittedly nothing extraordinary as far as brunch was concerned. Still, very palatable and filling, which is important because the drinks were plentiful and strong. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the drinks and would definitely go back for a future brunch.

This place pumps the loudest most annoying music imaginable. Doesn’t matter if it’s packed or totally empty(usually the latter). Bartenders have an attitude and they let plenty of underage kids in. My girlfriend has been offered heroin AND meth amphetamine by guys smoking outside this place. If you are from the western or southwestern suburbs and miss all the most annoying people that you ever met from those places, check this place out. Ladies, if you are looking to meet dudes who have giant subwoofers in their 1997 Cameros, check this place out. I travel quite a bit for work and I have not seen a place with a douchier crowd, or shittier music in all the land. Have fun!

I went here to just watch a football game with some friends on a Sunday. They were blasting some of the most annoying music ever. We couldn’t even hear each other speak! It was crazy because no one was there and no one was dancing or anything. If you want a sports bar experience this is not the place for you.

Went for bottomless brunch which was a great deal however, Food and service were terrible. All of the food at the table came out burnt to a crisp after waiting over an hour for food. The burger black and tasted like charcoal. Not too picky in terms of food when bottomless mimosas are involved but the food was inedible. I would never go back or recommend.

The food is . Honey sriracha wings are a must. Burgers are hefty and seasoned to perfection. The chef clearly knows what he’s doing with all the unique recipes created. Daily specials throughout the week keep me coming back. I’m a neighbor and a regular.

Neat concept where gastro pub seamlessly blends into nightlife. Chow down on the filet sliders, calamari, or tuna tartar then wash it all down with a craft beer(Oscar blues 10fiddy Imperial stout on draft was my choice). Watch the game, or hang out with a bunch of friends In the spacious booths. Then stick around while djs take over the sound system and set the mood for nightlife. They even offer an «open decks» night on Mondays to give local djs an opportunity to get out and possibly earn a slot forthcoming events.

We came here for brunch yesterday, and to watch the Bears game. We took advantage of the $ 30 bottomless mimosa/Bloody Mary deal and it was 100% worth it. The food and service were both top-notch and we were never without a drink. We walked out of there full and tipsy.

Staff was friendly and we were seated promptly. Atmosphere is cool, kind of loungey but not too casual. Drinks are great with better than average prices. Food is what really makes this place! Lamb meatballs, chorizo sliders, bacon wrapped dates, and chicken pearl sandwich were all great! Prices were better than I expected for the quality of food. Have recommended to friends and will be back.
