Mary Jo Downes

I mainly worked with John Downes, Mary Jo’s husband, and their daughter (for the loan) and I must say, this family makes a GREAT team to work with. I was originally going to work with another buyer’s agent, but I’m happy I went with the Downes team.
John was very flexible, and with his prior experience as an appraiser, pointed out the tiny details of each property that would help me make my decision as a first-​time buyer. 3 things I appreciated most was 1. honesty, 2. the no-​pressure interaction and 3. the wealth of his experience; it helped me move into a condo I’m very happy with.
He was my advocate during the negotiations; he listened to my wants and needs and delivered the results I wanted, in a way that didn’t insult the home’s seller. In turn, I got a great deal.
John was quick to answer questions and I have to mention that since his daughter was my loan officer, everything moved very quickly and smoothly. Although retired in his other career, John gave me an overall vibe that he simply enjoys doing real-​estate and helping people within that niche. My few interactions with Mary Jo were all pleasurable and valuable, too! Would highly recommend.
