I am very happy we send our child here. We needed full-time day care that also was educational and I wanted a small group setting. At the time our student had a 10 month speech delay, he now currently not only caught up but actually has surpassed his age. They potty-trained him, taught him his ABC’s, numbers in Spanish and English, and how to write and spell his name before he was even 3. They administer his breathing nebulizer treatments, have great communication with me and his speech and developmental therapists. I am a teacher and I was impressed. We did not want a fancy school, or one that we paid 2500 a month for so he could eat organically. Their pay scale is really reasonable, they go with how much you make and cap it off at 200 – 300 a week I believe. When my husband was laid off, they were kind enough to adjust the tuition. I love that being a teacher, they allow me to un-enroll my child for the summer and still save his spot for the fall. We actually love it here so much that we may enroll him in their summer program just to keep his development on track. I have quite a few teacher friends who have to pay year round to keep their children’s spot open. THe teachers really care about the kids, they even have bought them Christmas gifts and my son birthday gifts. The curriculum is really project-centered, and furthermore tailored to each child. My child loves trains so they did a whole unit on trains, as they did for all the other children. The kids never seem to be sick, and are always well behaved. One may need a time out here and there(my child included) but overall the children are really happy to be there and are well behaved and the staff treats them well. I loved that when they read about the three little pigs they also took a field trip to go see the play. I know that the $ 2500 preschool down our street is not taking their kids to go see plays. They also have an amazing music program, and they give the parents song books and cd’s too to help the children. The students learn religious songs and some prayers, but it is not a huge part of the curriculum(this was a plus for us as we were not hugely religious, nor Lutheran). The park outside is amazing and brand new and is all gated in with a high fence, inside the classrooms are older and some toys definitely have seen their day, but my child sometimes can spend an hour pretending a cardboard box at home is a bus, over playing with his expensive Thomas the Train set table, so he could careless about how fresh the toys are. Please check them out, and take a tour, my elementary school has now had 5 children of our own we’ve sent there, which is how I heard about them, so you can’t really beat 4 different teachers approving of a place.
