I am a guy who loves coffee and freshly baked pastries; and this is a great place to guy. Forget the fact that I live 3 blocks away, they have great homemade(hint hint) pastries as well as freshly brewed coffee and a variety of syrups to choose from to add a little flavor to your coffee or hot beverage. I got a 16 oz latte with vanilla syrup, plain bagel with cream cheese and a coffee cake. Bagel was fresh, I asked them to warm it up and it was perfect. Coffee cake is delicious(again homemade). Anyone who wants a quick cup of coffee to sitting down and having a short meeting, this is the place to met up and enjoy a few moments of life.

Adorable neighborhood coffee shop with great coffee. «Lovely» lured me in with its design of rustic elegance/French Country décor. It has a nice ambiance that isn’t too loud. Many big tables to choose from if you need to study, read, etc. Also, free wifi! My eyes directly go to the beautiful selections of delicious treats from petite bacon donuts, carrot cupcakes, peanut butter cookies, and blueberry muffins to name a few. The coffee was delicious! Usually mochas are my go-to coffee, and this place nailed it. For the night owls, get here early because this place closes at 6pm.

Went here today, and was very surprised I have not stopped in before. Huge area with amble seating. As you walk in, the smell of baked goods hit you in the face and I couldn’t be more excited!!! The workers were great as I told them it was my first time here, and will be back often.

I was visiting chicago with a friend and we stopped by here after dinner. It has a rustic interior with hip hop music playing, which was a strange combination but… i liked it! We tried the café latte, chai latte, chocolate scone, and carrot cupcake. All were very delicious, and it was a great place to warm up and recuperate after walking around all day. The café is very spacious with many large tables, free wifi, and outlets. This would be a very nice place to study if i were a student in the area.

I popped in here yesterday morning before heading into neighboring Revive Nail salon for a cupa. I just love this shop. It’s so wonderfully decorated. The staff is really nice. They provide great pastries and treats. In the summer(or nicer weather in general) they have a cute outdoor seating area. Its pretty large and has lots of seating. Great neighborhood spot. Highly recommend Lovely, as it is just that… LOVELY!

I can’t think of a better name. This is just a lovely bake shop in the Noble Square neighborhood. It has plenty of room to work and free wifi to connect to. It’s a cute bakery with a vintage feel. Everyone is always very nice and helpful, even when I come in at 7am and we are all waking up! As you might expect the baked goods are the star. Plenty of amazing treats! The coffee is good, nothing too amazing but it’s a bakery first, not a coffee shop. If you’re in the hood, stop by to warm up in the winter or relax on the patio when it’s nice out!

I came here today for lunch during my weeklong Chicago visit. I really was only expecting to pick up a baked good, but ended up getting lunch. All in all, an awesome spot! Check it out! Ambience: AWESOME. Really cute: very welcoming with plenty of seating. I’m not sure how it is during the weekends, but during the week, it seems easy to grab a table all to yourself. Food: Good. While this wasn’t the best curry chicken salad I’ve ever had, it was good(lots of grapes and the croissant was nice). The salad that came with it(one of the side options — you can also get Terra chips or fruit) was fresh and quite good(maybe a bit heavy on the dressing if you’re concerned with these things). The bacon chocolate chip cookie was good, but I think it might have been better if it weren’t as crispy. Service: Very good. Everyone was very friendly, and, despite being a visitor, I felt very welcome. If I lived around here, I’d come regularly: it’s an awesome space with friendly service and good food! NOTE: No American Express — other cards accepted.

My fave café in the city — the best Chai Latte and they have almond milk which for some reason the chain coffee houses haven’t figured out is a great alternative. I have eaten lunch a couple times — sandwiches are pretty big and good. I’ve only had the giant brownie for baked goods but it was outstanding! All around great place with a cute décor and very spacious. Staff have always been friendly and quick.

My dad ordered an apple pie and a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving from here. The pies looked amazing and they even made little leaves out of pie crust to put on top which was a cute touch. They looked cute, but honestly they weren’t the best pies I had. The apples in the pie were still too crunchy. I think the pies were way overpriced, and would have prefered a pie from Bakers Square instead. I would love to come here and try their other baked goods which Im sure are delicious. Maybe pies just aren’t their specialty.

Lovely is just that, lovely! I’ve been coming here for years and a month ago had my wedding here… that’s how much I love it! Bob, Gina and the entire staff did everything to make our day spectacular. Our wedding was about 50 people and everyone died over the food and the space. They even arranged our flowers for us! Can never thank them enough for such a wonderful moment in our life!

If I could, I would give this place a negative star. Nothing«lovely» about this place with their rude service/attitude. Asked a simple question & got a smart aleck response. that should have been a red flag to not order… yet I realize there are condescending people in this world and decided to give them a shot. Well low and behold the barista decides to attend others and withhold making our lattes… the nerve of some people. I will never patronize this unlovely café & I will make sure to let all my healthcare colleagues know to stay far away from this place. even if it’s the last place to get caffeinated!

There’s something especially sweet about this bakeshop/café. The services is always friendly; and the pastries are always fresh and delightful. Really nice light and great place to plug in and get some work done, or play a game with a pal.

I have been here a handful of times, because my tattoo shop is a block down, and I have gotten the quiche every time. Because I only come every month or so, I get to try a new flavor every time, and I haven’t been disappointed yet! I wasn’t sure about the price for a slice of quiche at first($ 7 – 8), until I realized that it came with a side of mixed greens and bread with butter! It has always left me satisfied as a great lunch in this cold weather. I had the coffee once or twice, and it was a fairly good latte, but nothing that really set it apart as spectacular for me. It tasted a lot like any other latte I would get at a small coffee shop or bakery. Nothing to complain about, though! Service was swift counter side, but I do end up waiting five minutes or so at my table for them to bring my food. I’m not sure about the speed if you choose to-go. All in all, I will return for more!

Scones have always been a pastry at the bottom of my dessert list. Come to think of it, they’re not even on there! I think the ones I’ve experienced in the past have been super dry and bland. I gave the blueberry scones at Lovely a try since I was starving and they looked amazing. Glad I did because they were so good and converted me! Their bagels are also my favorite. They have a nice crisp outside and perfectly chewy interior. Their simple lattes are pretty great, too. I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve had their bacon chocolate chip for breakfast before! The charming, vintage décor is indeed«lovely», as is the cute little patio! I am sad that I didn’t end up moving to the neighborhood because I’d be there every morning!

What a cute little bakery! My friend that lives a life of luxury loves to visit this place before her afternoon nap. Yesterday I joined her and what a treat The environment is really pleasant. Most people there were reading a book, studying, etc… and it’s a nice quiet environment to do so. I also notice they have board games available to play. We both ordered the hibiscus tea. I don’t like tea and I didn’t like this one, but I’m just not a tea person. We also got the bread pudding. Delicious! In order to be good in my book the texture has to be just right. I don’t like mushy or soggy bread pudding and this one was great. I also loved the sauce it was surrounded in. The next time I’m off I’ll have to come back and try something else.

Um yes. Beautiful cappuccino’s, fantastic chai tea, and tastey soups and sides. I go here every morning before work to get my fix. I’m really anti starbucks(I don’t like paying double for burned drinks) so I was super happy to find this place. They let you get whatever you want on your free drink punch… hollaaaaaaa! Great music. Awesome lemon/cucumber water and free wifi!

I can’t say enough how much I love ‘Lovely’! I have ordered three special occasion cakes here, to date, and every time I was knock-out impressed! The prices are amazing for the fantastic cake designs they deliver and really just can’t be beat. I am a stickler for cakes. they have to LOOK and TASTE amazing and Lovely always delivers on both of those aspects. Most recently I contacted Trisha over at Lovely to design my friend’s baby shower cake. I sent her a few images I had found on the net of designs I liked and we collaborated and discussed via emailed exactly what I wanted. She was friendly and super helpful. They make their cakes at a specific location but had it delivered to the location on Milwaukee for pick up on my request — which is closer to me — and I found that to be a shining example of amazing customer service. What I got is better than I ever could have envisioned!(Hopefully I can get an image of the cake on here soon via my Unilocal app.) I ordered an all white vanilla cake with little fondant baby boy blue shoes on top, yellow, blue, and green fondant flat circles sporadically on top and around the cake, and a little blue and white cameo with a little boy designed on it placed on the front side and the cake was finally rimmed at the bottom with little white fondant balls. Everyone at the baby shower, especially the Mom to be, was floored by how beautiful the cake was and we all didn’t even want to cut into it and wreck it! I got the 8″ round and it was WAYMORE than enough for 14 people and cost only 100 dollars. I mean that just a ridiculously good deal! Final Verdict: If you have a special occasion and need a fantastically designed and super tasty cake that EVERYONE will be floored by — get your cake from Lovely! Ask for Trisha!
