Just moved into the neighborhood. Thought we would check out the local bar. Doorman was very nice, 5 people behind the bar. Super Bowl Sunday, but not busy. 2 people behind the bar looked at me, but we couldn’t get a beer. Needless to say, we walked out after ten minutes of zero service or even an effort of service. Doorman asked why so quick and we politely told him we couldn’t get service. He tried to have us stay, but we didn’t want it to be awkward. Fortunately, we found Lemmings Tavern. Matt was friendly and great beer selection we highly recommend it.

We were staying in the neighborhood and were told to walk a few blocks to get to some ‘hip restaurants’. The second we saw Lottie’s on the corner we thought it was much more our style. Old cozy traditional neighborhood bar was exactly what we expected. Good beer, super nice service(a little slow, but we were in no hurry) and the bar food was, bar food! Cheese sticks were particularly delicious! Just good beer and food and that old-school charm. Would definitely recommend if that’s what you’re looking for.

I’m from Chicago but my husband is from central Illinois. After my husband ended his active duty in the Marine Corp we moved back to Chicago and invited his parents up to show them why we loved the city. Needless to say that failed. My in laws are big fans of the show Chicago fire so naturally they research this location and were dying to go. We had always told them how friendly chicago is and how people were generally neighborly so when we arrived it really sucked to have the staff ignore us even though we were 4 out of 8 people there and the bartender rolled her eyes when they mentioned how excited they were to be there because of the show. I’m sure the staff is tired of people asking about the show but I never realized this bar didn’t support it since it’s painted so lovingly in the show. Mostly, they felt ostracized and disappointed which is why I rated this place so poorly(to be honest, they’re my family so I REALLY wanted to give you 1 star because it was personal). However, if this is the theme of the bar we totally missed the cues.

Meh, Bears fans run the place. Showed up in Green & Gold and got sub par service. Wife and I are fans of Fire &PD, so of course we were star struck to be eating and hanging out in the bar featured on the show, but these Jack wagons didn’t care that the show brought them $ 90 out of my pocket. Food was ok, took over 30 minutes to get two burgers and tots. The did mess up one of the combos, but we had stuff to do so we just ate. Fun times, just act like you are happy to be at work.

Excellent time with friends here one random night when the original bar we were trying to go to had way too long of a line. Interesting though that there was zero line to get into Lottie’s but the first floor was obnoxiously packed(reason for the docked star). But, we found space downstairs where there was basically no one but the same music so my friends and I had plenty of space to dance and reach the bartenders. So it was a really fun night! Hope to be back soon!

From Green Bay, family big Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD, we HAD t check out this bar on our last visit. Visited during lunch on a weekday, so it was quiet. Bartender was awesome, super nice, told us we could take all the pictures we wanted when we mentioned we were fans of the show. Food was pretty good ! I will definitely come back for a weekend night to experience it all.!!

Lottie’s is a Lincoln Park bar that got lost along the way and said«F**k it! We’ll just post up right here in Bucktown.» It’s because of this that I really like it. It’s sporty, without all the 20-something nudniks. They’re a KU and Badger bar so yeah, if you don’t like college football fans you’ll want to steer clear on Saturdays, but because the clientele is a little older it’s a much better experience than you’ll find in the Depaul area. The food is fine. Nothing to really write home about though. The staff is always friendly, games are usually on with the sound, and there’s a pup-friendly patio which is perfect since they’re right down the block from one of the best dog parks in the city. They also film Chicago Fire here, so if you’re as obsessed with Law and Order SVU as I am Lottie’s isn’t a bad place to search for substance for a Dick Wolf hair doll.

Went for a Bears game it was a awesome experience. Got there about 30 minutes before and able to grab seats at the bar, the bartender was awesome super attentive and never let out beers get done without asking if we wanted a another. Good selection of craft beer both on tap and in bottles. As for the food very good started off with the guac and chips which were really good for a bar. Definitely would get again. For a sandwich we had the smoked turkey club which was big enough for us to split, really good bar food, awesome vibe for Bears is a definite return to watch a game.

I’m visiting from San Antonio and just had to come check out Molly’s, I mean Lottie’s. My husband and I are huge Chicago Fire fans. Like the reviews said, it’s a local bar with great bar food. Come chec it out if you’re in town or in the area.

I can’t even begin to explain how geeked out excited I was to visit Lottie’s. I am such a big fan of Chicago Fire. It was such a surreal experience to be there and to top it off, it was a great place to have some drinks and some snacks! Our server was a doll and was also formerly from South Florida. She was fantastic and really made our visit enjoyable. They have some great beers on tap and I have to say their waffle fries and tater tots are on point. They also come with this great aioli ish dipping sauce. YUM. Visiting Lottie’s made me want to move to Chicago so that I could come here and just hang out all the time. The bar is wicked long so there’s plenty of spots there if you care to sit, but there are also plenty of high top tables to hang and dine at. They really made us feel at home. I also absolutely love the lights strung across the ceiling and the aged wood floors. It is such a charming, small, home-y place. I can’t wait to come back to Chicago so we can come back from some more beers and tots!

A neighborhood staple. Lottie’s is the best. We have never had a a bad time here. Part dive bar, part hipster hangout, Lottie’s has something for everyone. It’s just a few steps from where my boyfriend lives so we enjoy beers here often. The crowd is ALWAYS lively… Except when duke is kicking ass on TV in basketball!!! Solid, solid spot.

Lottie’s is the type of place that makes my friends and me want to order a round of Hamm’s, get a set of keys out, and shotgun the shit out of them! Definitely a great excuse for it as you’re graced by a blue collar neighborhood bar that’s been there for almost 81 years! This joint is a perfect blend of neighborhood bar and college bar, but without the college kids!(Thank the Lord…) With specials abound every night, it’s easy to get drunk for cheap. While it might get packed on weekends, it’s fun, because they play 90’s rap! Never short on nostalgia; Chicago Fire & Chicago P.D. are filmed here(Molly’s). If only I could hear Hermann’s twangy Chicago accent greeting me from behind the bar as I sit down at one of the stools… I’m pretty sure that the bar and floor haven’t been replaced since the bar opened either, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I have no inclination to try the food, as this is a neighborhood bar. It’s a shame the city forces bars to have a food menu unless they’re grandfathered in… I’ll definitely be back if I’m in the hood.

My review of Lottie’s Pub is extremely biased because I was a tourist in Chicago who came here solely because it is on Chicago Fire. That being said … It was awesome. I acted like a tourist the entire time and i’m not ashamed in the slightest. I ate the Chicago Fire Burger, bought a Fire House 51 t-shirt and Lottie’s anniversary pint glass. The burger was better than your average Pub burger, i’d highly recommend it. My wife was sad she didn’t get the same and couldn’t resist a couple of large bites. The atmosphere was good too. Being from England but living in California, I miss having a local boozer I can drop by anytime for a quick pint and some banter, if I lived next to Lottie’s, there’d be no question where to find me on a cold winter evening. Until next time Lottie’s …

A good solid place for some beers and pub food. Some friends and I met up here on a Saturday night and got a great spot outside. The wrap around bench seating made it a great spot for the seven of us to chat. The beer list is simple but still gives you a bit of a choice. We had a few drinks and ended up ordering a cheese pizza to munch on. It was a good thin crust basic pie, nothing special, but just what we needed at that point in time. I have been here before where I had a wrap and enjoyed it, so I think the food is above average bar food. Our server was very nice and she hung out with us a little answering our many questions for her. The place was empty when we arrived at 6:30, but by the time we left, there was a packed dance party around 11pm. A good spot in summer for the simple patio and great spot for winter with the bar area and basement for extra space to watch games or just hang out.

Lottie’s manages to straddle a grey area of existence where it is likely no one’s favorite bar and has never been a destination spot, but remains tepidly full at all times. The age old question remains: is Lottie’s a great«bad bar» or a bad«great bar»? Let’s take a look at what we know: Average beer selection: Check Ability to order beers in over sized schooners: Check. Dilapidated bathrooms that usually feature standing water: Present. Golden Tee on-site: Online multiplayer compatible. Weekly pizza specials: The caprese earlier this month was forgettable. Totchos: Available, featuring Lottie’s homemade Chili(which is not available on its own according to our waitress, leading some in our group to question the extent to which it is homemade*) $ 4 beef sandwich specials on Thursdays: Limited quantities available. I don’t hate Lottie’s. I’m just not sure I like it either. Nobody has ever had a great night that ended at Lottie’s, but it’s entirely possible that somebody has had a great night that started there. Lottie’s just exists, causing no pain and bringing no happiness. It’s the closet thing that exists in bar form to the song«All For You» by Sister Hazel. *Editor’s note: I was not part of this group. I have no intentions of ever ordering the Lottie’s chili.

How have I not reviewed Lottie’s?! I’ve visited many times over the past few years and have never been disappointed. This definitely skews toward ‘dive bar’ but with good service and good drink options. I tend to stay away from too much beer in favor of wine or other cocktails. Lottie’s delivers as you can order almost anything here to suit your fancy. The atmosphere is loud at times and quiet at others(if you don’t like loud, skip this spot in Saint Patrick’s Day!). I really enjoy the outdoor area which is quite comfortable and tucked away in the perfect spot for people watching. Service is relaxed and friendly and even when it’s slow, they pay attention to everyone outside and make sure all patrons have what they need. Pricing is great and this is an overall wonderful spot in the area. Bathrooms could use a refresh, but the atmosphere is fun and lively and outside is a perfect spot for a quick meal or a drink.

I like you a lotty, Lottie’s. Lottie’s is the quintessential neighborhood bar that happens to be on that tv show sometimes. They always have a celebration for every random holiday with beer specials, cookouts, trolleys, even liquor samplings. Most weeknights, you can get a table and chill under the cute Xmas lights. On the weekends, it gets pretty packed but it’s fun to shake that thang to some pretty good music. Game days, they have some kind of very large-sized beer special w/tons of TVs and even a cute little patio along the side when it’s not freezing out. Everything you could ask for in a bar, right? Yeah, the crowd is mostly post-college white people that drink a lot of Bud Lite. It’s Bucktown, what do you expect? My only gripe is with the food. I haven’t had much of the menu but when I had their pita and hummus, it was odd. Pizza was just ok too. I see Lottie’s as more of a local spot than where to make dinner plans so not having 5-star food works for me. Keep doin your thang, Lottie’s.
