Normally, before I write a review, I try a variety of things on the menu. We tried the steak tacos, the steak(fajitas) tacos and the pork tacos. Our favorite was the pork tacos. Which is unusual because we were usually prefer the steak of the park. The pork tacos had a great spice and flavor to them. Will def go back to try more.

Terrific tacos within the ambiguous sea of taquerias that is Chicago’s North and West side. Very courteous staff, terrific pollo and churitzo tacos. Very fair prices. Parking is good for lunch.

The best Mexican joint around! I have tried many different Mexican places around albany park and nothing beats Los 2. The tacos are so good and always packed with tender, not at all dried out, meat. The cook needs all the props he can get cause he works so hard to get your food out. I recommend huaraches which has 2 different sauces and comes with meat and onions and cheese. I usually get one cause they fill me up so quick and are pretty big.

After visiting La Cremeria Ordeña next door a few times, I was curious about the tacos here. After seeing the good reviews, I stopped in today and picked up an order to go. Al Pastor was very good, well marinated with some crispy bits, and not dried out like i’ve experienced at Taqueria San Juanito before. The lengua was also good, cubed not sliced, fairly moist and very hot from the griddle. One of the pleasant surprises were the large homemade tortillas used for quesadillas. Very hearty and tasty. The guacamole was pretty good. Service was friendly, it was midday so there weren’t any other patrons at the time. The order came up promptly. Overall this was a nice little spot, and i’ll definitely return soon to try other dishes. I’m not sure of their exact hours, but the door said open until 10pm most nights, and 11pm on Saturday.

I had steak and pork tacos. The meat was really good. They seemed very fresh. The gal taking our order let us try the chicherones(sp). The price was really reasonable. Overall really good experience. We took it to go so didn’t really experience the restaurant.

They now have soup menu… very exciting! I ordered the caldo de Camaron(shrimp soup). It was spicy but flavorful. They used medium-sized shrimps yet loaded the entire soup with them. In addition, I had the tongue tacos. They don’t always have them available even though this is listed on the menu. Their ingredients are fresh and prices are very reasonable. In average, the same items you will typically find in their competitor restaurants will charge $ 1 or $ 1.50 more. I’ve dined in other Mexican joints nearby, and I have to say Los 2 Michoacanos is one of the best in Albany Park.
